You bring up another interesting point.

Ms. Katherine says that "she HEARD it." Heard it from whom, would be my question.

We all know that out of everybody in the Jackson family, Michael spent the most time with his mother. So my question would be, why would she need to hear it from somebody else. She was around Michael enough to have seen something, if there was something to see, in my opinion.

Sounds like, once again, somebody was whispering in Ms. Katherine's ear. I wonder who that person is?

Somebody brought the issue up with her. Did she only talk to him about this once and that's it?

Man, Mother Jackson is going to have to come HARD! She's gonna have to answer those "drug" related questions FULLY, leaving no room for speculation.

I look at that clip and I'm not sure Mother Jackson is up for the challenge. I hope I'm wrong!

Oprah was happy to jump on the "addictions" thing. I wonder if she will even touch upon the sleeping problems Michael had or whether Mother Jackson will bring them up on her own.

She needs to say, "I believed my son, because I spent a lot of time with him and I NEVER saw anything out of the ordinary." She said something similar on Dateline and she needs to say it again: LOUD & CLEAR!

I don't have a problem with how Mrs Jackson answered this question she is his Mother if she hears something yes she is going to ask about it. And it sounds like Michael got a little pissed at her for asking. This goes along with what Frank said when he asked Michael was he taken anything and it goes along with what Raymone said when she asked him for the second time about his will. Clearly Michael did not like being asked questions he thought were insulting. Michael are you doing drugs? No Mother I am not. I don;t want to see you overdose well that shows Michael IMO that you did not believe him and I can see him getting mad about it. And her asking was his Mother being worried

Ridiculous drug abuse has nothing to do with how Michael died. You are kidding yourself if you don't think the DA did not look at the drug issue front to back before filing charges. All of this drug still will be a wash and gone when this case starts

yep! you got it... where did you hear it from and did you ever see him out of it? Katherine went on tours with MJ and visited him often. She spent everyday with him at Neverland during the trial... She better give a straight and full answer and not leave MJ hanging like Janet has done. We need specifics and timeframes

Michael is the one who asked for help when he was at the beginning of a drug addiction, i read a report about his stay in England and everyone said that he was not in advanced stages of addiction,,,, he healed very well back then and it was not even a big challenge to treat him because he needed to rest and relax more than anything else...he walked out a very healthy man...

and after having kids and being around them 24 h since he was a very hands on father ...the chances are very slim and anyone say something else is simply A LAIR !

And that's exactly why these types of interviews are NEVER a good idea, when you have criminal AND civil cases pending.

In one corner you will have Murray's legal eagles watching and hoping to hear something they can use to create "reasonable doubt."

In another corner you will have AEG's legal eagles watching and hoping to hear something they can use in order to get Ms. Katherine's lawsuit dismissed.

All for a book. If this Oprah interview backfires, they will not sell any copies of that coffee table book. I wonder if anybody thought about that in advance.

The Jackson's have been around long enough to know how Oprah get's down. Taj said as much in one of his recent tweets.

Oprah is in a position to play Ms. Katherine and I won't be surprised if she does. I hope she doesn't, but nothing surpirses me at this point.

According to Gayle King (on her satellite radio show) Oprah did NOT "court" or seek out the Jackson's in any way, it was Marc Schaffel (porn producer/KJ biz partner) who CONTACTED the Oprah team. Oprah & her team were planning an episode on "Teen Heartthrobs" (which coincidentally aired today) and when Oprah was a kid her "crush" was Jackie Jackson. The ONLY call Oprah's team made was to Jackie to see if he would participate.
Days later the Oprah producer assigned to the Jackie Jackson segment received a phone call and faxed letter from Marc Schaffel on behalf of Joe & Katherine Jackson pitching an interview for KJ's book about MJ. THE OPRAH TEAM REJECTED THE PITCH FROM MARC SHAFFEL, JOE, & KJ saying thanks but no thanks.
A few days after Oprah's team turned them down Marc Schaffel contacted them again to say that "Mr. & Mrs. Jackson would 'sweeten' the deal and allow Oprah an 'exclusive' interview w/ the children of MJ if she would agree to feature KJ on her show." According to Gayle, there was MUCH debate between the producers whether or not to do the show. Gayle said the Oprah team is taking great care in the way they are featuring the kids. She said Schaffel made it clear to producers that the Jackson's were willing to leverage the children to promote their biz ventures to other outlets.

And when she did speak about him publicly, it was regarding that Family Reunion Concert. She told both Larry King and Ellen that she was having conference calls with her brothers and there was only ONE hold out. She never mentioned Michael's name, but folks knew who she was speaking about (LOL). She said that they were still working on that person and that she was willing to open for them.

That's another thing that NEVER jived with me. I mean, if Michael were in such bad shape and in such denial, why in the world was she pushing him to join the rest of the brothers on stage. I'm sorry, but those two stories do not mesh, in my opinion.

If your brother is in such bad shape that he needs an intervention, why would you be pushing him to perform?

I guess there is the very small hope that maybe Katherine will say, "But I did believe him and I still do. I didn't see anything wrong with him as far as drugs." Maybe she will tell the truth??? Maybe she will be the one that sticks up for him??

Of course if she denies drugs Oprah will not use that clip. It is counterproductive to what she wants to portray.

I have a small hope (a very small one) that this will still turn out ok. Please, please, turn out ok!

I will say this, Ms. Katherine has the opportunity to turn the "drug" discussion around.

Oprah asked her if she knew about any drugs and Katherine said she asked him and he denied it. She can finish that response by saying:

AND ONCE I SAW HIS AUTOPSY REPORT, I REALIZED THAT HE WAS TELLING ME THE TRUTH!

If she is able to come back with an answer "similar" to that, my faith will be restored, because it will put the results of the autopsy report front and center, where it should be. Which will shut Ms. Winfrey and her line of questioning down.
