Unconfirmed Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

mysterygirl7 and KOPV, I think I have to agree with you. I would love to see MJ as he was between BAD and Dangerous. When I watch his concerts, I'm always observing how he is with each era and to see a concert where eras are a blended in some way, that would be awesome. I love all of his concerts of course. Each era offers something very unique as we all know. So I think I would vote for the LA concert in 1989 if I had a choice; although I would miss Dirty Diana. Ultimately I would be happy with any of them. :clapping: Is it for sure that it will be released next year?

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

Does anybody think there is a chance that the Grammy Awards performance (TWYMMF, MITM) will come to DVD/BD???

It's still part of the Bad Era, and the footage is easily obtainable in high quality.

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

As much as I would love to see the LA 1989 concert because it's kind of a mix between Dangerous era + Bad era styling and dance moves my vote would always be 100% for the Wembley 88 shows.

MJ always seemed to find an extra gear and even more energy when performing at Wembley compared to other shows in my opinion. Not to say he doesn't put on a great show when he plays other venues but there was something very special about Wembley as a concert venue, plus the Wembley crowd always seemed to generate an incredible atmosphere where you could just feel the energy and the excitement in the air which MJ seemed to feed of and respond to in the form of an incredible performance. If you watch any concert footage of other performers from the old Wembley like Queen's A Kind Of Magic Tour in 1986, the atmosphere is just electric and thats just watching it back on DVD, I bet it was incredible to actually be there live!

Having seen MJ three times at Wembley on the Dangerous & History Tours I know what I'm talking about when I say that the old Wembley was just special as a concert venue and when you combine that with the best performer in the world thats when the magic happens. It's hard to put into words what I mean about the old Wembley, if anyone else was ever lucky enough to attend a concert their I'm sure they will know what i'm talking about when I say Wembley was special.

The new Wembley Stadium however seems to have lost that magic atmosphere that the old one had :-(

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

Soon, I will posting whatever information I can get. If I don't get anything MJ related, I will still post some Sony news that might interest some of you, especially PlayStation fans.

Thanks. I hope you will get MJ related news.

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

What's coming first, Bad 25 or the next posthumous album?

Can we expect both in 2012?

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

New wembley while is a nice stadium is the same as any other new build stadium. old wembley was special cause it was unique even if that was in a bad way! interms of it been old

I only went to the old Wembley Stadium once, and that was to see the HIStory tour in July 97. What you say is true, it was by far the most atmospheric concert I've ever been to.

It's not legit IMO. The copyright statement does not mention Sony or MJJ Estate.

Also, this is the registration information for the site

This is just set up by an opportunist MJ fan, just in case the 'BAD25' project is released IMO. They're hoping for loads of visitors for their site. I haven't seen the photo either though, so I could be wrong...

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

I'm so looking forward to this release! If it ever happens I wish that they (Sony) would release the album in it's original version containing the original 1987 album versions of the five tracks that were substituted on later pressings!

The songs "Bad", "TWYMMF", "IJCSLY", "Dirty Diana" & "Smooth Criminal" are better in their original forms IMO! Would be nice to have the wonderful track "Streetwalker" included as a bonus aswell as the full version of "Fly Away"... I have never understood why it was so short on "Bad SE" in 2001. I got this album as a christmas present in 1987, and I can't enjoy the crurrant version no matter how hard I try... I miss the spoken intro to "IJCSLY"... I miss the DiLeo effects in the beginning of "Smooth Criminal". Come on Sony, I know you can do it!

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

Question: Now that Katy Perry has tied with MJ in #1 singles from one album, and that maybe with the next single she will pass(hopefully not)... You guys think that maybe with the Bad 25th release next year we can make Smooth Criminal number #1? You think it is possible?

and if she have 20 number one singles from one album. it DOES NOT count. its a totally different chartsystem. every shit song can get to number one. easily. it does not count what her record company and the radio stations did. how they manipulate the charts.
michael jackson will have this record forever. only the KING alone. noone can break this record. thats a fact! cause the chart system don't exist anymore.

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

I was able to start a good 10 minute discussion about MJ releases at the meeting. I tried to get us much information as possible but people kept bring up questions about past MJ releases.

Here are a few answers to some of your questions:

- The Bad Anniversary Edition is planned to be released late August 2012 (28th, I presume)^

- Remixes of unreleased songs will be included^

- No other MJ albums will have Anniversary Editions*

- A "Blu-Ray" is in the works and is planned to be released Christmas 2013 along with a new album^

- Cascio tracks are still in^

- Limited Edition Michael Jackson Playstation Vita will be released in Japan, bundled with MJ: The Experience*

- Duet Album is not happening^

- Moonwalker HD will be E3 2012*

(*) Unreliable (^) Reliable

Not much that we didn't already know.

The Bad Tour DVD seems like it doesn't exist.

Korgnex, what can you tell us about this?

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

@LLCz:

My opinion/questions regarding the following of your points:

- Remixes of unreleased songs will be included^
(Do you mean dance/club remixes? Or will the unreleased songs "only" will be made more
current sounding? Of course i would want them untouched. But better a newly added current sound, than these club/dance remixes.)

- No other MJ albums will have Anniversary Editions*
(This would be very sad & disapointing. DANGEROUS is destined & bound to have THE BEST
imaginable Anniversary Edition in 2016. What a nice package could be created out of that
album...)

- A "Blu-Ray" is in the works and is planned to be released Christmas 2013 along with a new album^
(No album of new Material till christmas 2013??? Would mean two full more years without new music. To me this sounds unlikely. Also what kind of BluRay should accompany a album of new material?? Maybe BAD25 kicks off in August 2012 & culminates at christmas 2012 with
the BluRay release of the BAD-Tour - I trust in Go Flying)

- Moonwalker HD will be E3 2012*
(Sorry E3? Do you mean a game or the movie? Cause we already have Moonwalker on
BluRay... A newly made version (HD/maybe 3D) of the Moonwalker Game would be awesome)

-The Bad Tour DVD seems like it doesn't exist.
(Again, i trust in Go Flying)

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

Considering Michael wanted all the songs included in the Bad album then I don't know why they can't release a double album of all unreleased songs and call it Bad 2 and 3. I brought Bad so many time's, vinyl, tape, and cd also have all the song's on various albums I want something different now.

I agree. They should at least release Bad25 as a double album with a digitally remastered disc of the original album and a second disc of previously unreleased tracks from the "Bad" album recording sessions. The Booklet could contain all the original album production notes and lyrics with some photos from Michael's promotion appearances for the album.

OMG, so they won't have anniversary albums for Dangerous and HIStory? :(

And no Bad tour? I don't get them. The demand for a Bad tour concert release is so high among fans, why are they ignoring that? What do they plan to have in the Bluray? Just music videos from Bad or (getting my hopes up a little) will they include a concert in that? I don't see the point of having a Bluray for just 6 music videos.

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

Remixes of unreleased songs? I would rather they just release them as they were. There has to be a bad tour dvd. I don't understand that.

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

What was the last unreleased song we got? STTR?

Korgnex, what can you tell us about this?

Korgnex isn't an insider and nor is LLCz for that matter. Don't know why people are so quick to believe him.

Also, MJ The Experience was already released in Japan, yesterday in fact when the console was released there and limited edition bundles are usually released on the same day as the game.

Something similar to the T25 remix, probably.

Other than the new music on Bad 25, we won't get anything new until late 2013.

This is the game. Not sure what is meant by HD. It could just be a re-release or remake.

It is most likely happening, just nothing was said about it.

I am not claiming to be an insider or anything. I just have the chance to speak with some people close to the projects 2-3 times a year.

Yes, I am aware of the release. The Vita was one of the main topics of the meeting (which was yesterday). The bundle would probably correlate with the game's digital release since it would include a digital copy. Several other bundles were also mentioned.

It was also released digitally yesterday. And why would a meeting with people involved in Sony Music/Epic Records include a project that has nothing to do with Sony Music as one of it's main topics? The game is a project between the Estate, Ubisoft and SCE.

The Cascio songs are definitely "not in".

That would be awesome! E3 2012 is great time to announce it. I hope it comes to Xbox Live Arcade.

Re: Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

Does anybody have asked them about Bad Tour 1988 dvd and told them that all fans are wanting it?

The meetings are for employees and interns to know what projects they might get assigned to, mainly regarding advertising and marketing. I haven't got a job in over 3 years, but I still attend the the events to keep my benefits. Certain products are previewed, the MJ Vita happened to be one of them, 6 LE bundles were shown in all. The meeting has nothing to do with Epic Records or Sony Music, they just usually send someone to the meetings. Everything but the Vita information was given to me because I or someone else personally asked. Why am I being fussed at? I just tried to help.
