More updates from Ollie at Odeon
So it seems they have no information at all.
I don't hold out any hope at all for Odeon showing it. The ship has sailed.
Yah. That was me asking questions. Heh. starlightgrove! Looks as though they know nothing at all.More updates from Ollie at Odeon

Well, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to advertise it everywhere, since a lot of places don't have IMAX, especially smaller towns (in the USA). Why advertise something in places where most people don't have access to it?And why isn't it advertised everywhere!?

More important question: when are Branca and Co. going to be replaced as executors?

They should show Thriller 3D before normal 3D and 2D screenings too. Not just IMAX. It would get a lot more attention that way.
I wanted to see it so bad again but them prices are over....so recorded it & watched it 3x right thenSaw it last night. Impressive. The quality was amazing! Really want to see it again but 18 bucks per ticket is too much lol. Also the movie wasn't bad either.
This. I don't understand why Thriller has to be only shown in 3D and that in only IMAX cinemas. They remastered it so why can't they show it in non 3D cinemas? Would people not care about it unless if it is shown in 3D? Did they only remaster it for 3D? It's a shame that they have totally neglected the non 3D formats, because 3D isn't even that popular.

In May '18 the BBFC certified thriller as rated '12' for the 'video' format which includes DVD, BluRay,streaming / on demand.
It's clear the MJ Estate had plans for wider cinema viewing in the UK, as well as for a home release at some point. It looks doubtful that the former will occur now, but maybe we'll see the latter.

Darren Hayes seems to be the biggest celebrity/musician MJ fan ever! I mean, his love for Michael is REAL! Love his obsession/enthusiams/appreciation for Michael so much. Wish I could do the same and watch Thriller at the movies over and over and over again. I'd be in MJ heaven.
Yep. I saw it. Yes. It was awesome.
Amazing quality. The elements were spaced out in 3D superbly well (which is surprising as "Thriller" was never intended for 3D), the sound effects were awesome and they jumped around the room a lot -- a really nice touch I liked was that the volume was upped a bit when the dance sequence kicked in which was amazing. I could almost feel the bassline in my chest.
The new ending scared me a lot as well -- it's not a completely new ending, but yeah, I won't mention what the ending is for those who are waiting to see it (unless you PM me or something), it would ruin the surprise .
I also had a free poster which I'm gonna frame now. A few of the people I said to in work were like "you're mental" but it was worth it that much for me to travel up to Cambridge from South Wales to see it.
Just wow. The quality had to be 4k or very near it.
The only thing that did let me down was that some sound effects in the dance section weren't present (as others have mentioned, the dance starts off a beat I believe). I can't remember which parts but if anything, that is the only thing I can complain about -- it's still done very well but more detail could have been done for that section.
I wish I could do it again, but it just isn't feasible for the sake of 15 minutes also. If it comes down closer, I'm gonna see it multiple times.
It's well worth the effort mate. It was for me.Pretty sure I'll be travelling even further so I feel you!
I wonder if I can get a poster tomorrow...
