Two WWE superstars taking some time offAfter last night's pay-per-view, Edge and The Great Khali will get some time off from WWE.- Edge has been telling those close to him that he needs time for his banged up body to recover not to mention the fact that he has underwent three major surgeries in the past five years. Edge has been working through pain and some feel that he is burned out on the business. WWE did the angle with Undertaker "injuring" him last night to keep him off of television for the immediate future as it is unknown at this time how long that he will be away. I was told that a good estimate would be one to two months.- As for The Great Khali, he is going home to India for awhile. While in India, Khali will reportedly see a doctor about his knee that has been bothering him and will film a movie

More Crazy Storylines to Come in WWE, Vince Re-Writes RAW, ECWWritten by Marc Middleton Got any news or results to send us? Please e-mail it to WNZ@wrestlenewz.com- Tuesday night's ECW on Sci Fi scored a 1.09 cable rating, with an average audience of 1.5 million viewers.- Due to the ongoing struggle for a good rating, Vince McMahon demanded a full re-write of RAW this past weekend. Look for the twists and shocking booking to continue for sometime as they hope to bring up ratings for the entire WWE product. As previously posted, Vince held a meeting before RAW a few weeks back where he wanted a more "edgier" look to WWE's matches. With ratings being the way they have been, Vince is in the mood to try new things and pretty much do what it takes to bring those numbers back up.

Hulk & Linda Divorce Update: Hulk Won't Reveal His Net WorthSubmitted by Michael Bluth on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 12:40 AM ESTSource: TMZ.comThere's a new chapter in the ongoing Hogan divorce saga. According to celebrity news source TMZ, Hulk is not cooperating with Linda's attempts to find out exactly how much money he's worth. Linda has filed an "order compelling discovery" with Florida's Pinellas County Judicial court demanding the Hulkster spill the beans. The legal documents can be seen here. It's rather urgent that Linda receive this information soon or she will miss a deadline that will cause her to lose an $840,000 deposit on a Vegas condo.

Yeah, I hope Hulk keeps as much as possible. It's his money, from his career. Honestly, so many women's sense of entitlement in divorce cases is sickening.

WWE News: Randy Orton Looking To Take Time Off, Another Mike Adamle Related Incident, WWE's Record TourSubmitted by Daniel Pena on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 6:44 PM ESTsource: Wrestling Observer Newsletter-- The final numbers for WWE's tour of Europe are in. For 20 events, they averaged 8,750 paid and $725,000 per event for a total of $14.5 million. This was the company's biggest money making tour in history.-- At Tuesday's SmackDown/ECW taping in Atlantic City, a fan was heckling Mike Adamle big-time. He was asking Adamle how many mistakes he was going to make on the show. However, a WWE tech guy put an end to the heckling by confronting the fan and saying, "There will be none of that tonight and if I hear one more word out of you, I will throw you out of here." Security also confiscated an "Adamle Sucks" sign.-- Randy Orton has asked management for some time off from house shows. The story is that he's burned out. However, he still wants to work television and pay-per-views. Orton is penciled in for some top pay-per-view matches over the next few months. Orton's wife Samantha is expecting their first child in July, so you can see why he'd ask to be home more. Anyway, it is not known if his request has been granted, or for how long, although he was pulled from WWE's upcoming tour of Mexico.

WWE s*it on their tv shows this week, Raw was pathetic, ECW I wont even comment on, and then Smackdown, dear god!

^^Yeah, I know. Taker's got to get his title back. DAMN vickie took it from him again.WWE News: TMZ Covering Ashley Massaro Escort Story, Plan For One Night Stand, Boogeyman UpdateSubmitted by Daniel Pena on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 5:42 PM ESTsource: Wrestling Observer Newsletter-- TMZ.com has posted an article regarding the story on Ashley Massaro and some other models being tied to an escort service. TMZ's headline reads: "WWE Diva Fingered in Escort Ring?" Initially, Massaro wasn't mentioned in the story, simply referring to her as "A prominent female WWE star." An hour and a half after TMZ's article was published, they named Ashley in the story, citing her denial from her MySpace page. TMZ has contacted WWE to comment on the story, but they have yet to respond. To see TMZ's take on the story, click here. TMZ plans on adding more details to the story as they get it.-- The tentative format for the One Night Stand pay-per-view in San Diego on June 1st is to make every match an "Extreme Rules" match. Last year's show drew 188,000 total buys, with only 124,000 from North America, the company's low mark of the year.-- Boogeyman recently got some new front teeth put in. They were knocked out in a accident while he was training to be a wrestler in OVW three years ago. He didn't fix his teeth due to the Boogeyman gimmick. Boogeyman has been out of action since September. He took some time off after suffering a calf injury, but has yet to be brought back to television.

^^^

I heard that story about Ashley, apparently there is a Bikini model who lives I think in LA with the same name and they have named Ashley from the WWE who has denied it on her myspace, I think there will be a lawsuit if this is true!

From ECW to MLW, he was always ready for a fight. Now, settled into his new career position, TNA Producer Pat "Simon Diamond" Kenney has joined ClubWWI.com for a one hour shoot interview with James Guttman that tackles all subjects.Just like when fellow TNA Producer Scott D'Amore appeared on the Club a few weeks ago to talk about how he specifically worked with the Knockout division, Pat Kenney spoke about his main area of work - TNA House Shows. Undertaker vs. Orton Feud Taking Place?, Latest From WWE On Mike Adamle, Lesnar In VegasSubmitted by Daniel Pena on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 5:52 PM EST-- The WWE Magazine Yearbook 2008 issue that was released this past Tuesday hints at a possible Randy Orton vs. Undertaker feud taking place on Raw in the near future. On Randy Orton's page, they wrote: "With all of the top Raw talent gunning for him, 2008 will be the toughest year of Orton's career. There are even rumors that a certain Deadman would like to come to Raw and inflict some immortal punishment on the self-proclaimed Legend Killer."-- The WWE website has an update on the Mike Adamle walk-out situation. According to the article, they reached Adamle for comment, but he refused to discuss anything. WWE.com also added: "Speculation remains rampant in the locker room as well as in WWE offices and at WWE.com headquarters. Some believe Adamle is quitting the company. Others say it’s simply a ploy to make more money." According to the article, they believe that Adamle's walk-out was a result of a hostile environment at WWE events. "Superstars have not been shy about teasing the commentator about his on-air gaffes. Also, perhaps worst of all, Adamle has been greeted by shouts of "Please quit," "You suck," and even "Drop Dead!" from our fans in the rows closest to the announcers’ table. The article concludes by telling fans to tune in to ECW on Tuesday to find out the deal on Mike Adamle. To read the article in its entirety, click here.-- Brock Lesnar will be in Las Vegas for UFC's show on May 24.

WWE News: Mickie James Helps Save Life, Vickie Guerrero Speaks Out, Melina Celebrates Cinco de mayoSubmitted by Daniel Pena on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 10:03 PM EST-- According to WWE.com, NBC11.com has a story on Mickie James helping a fan who suffered an epileptic seizure that was waiting in line to meet her (and Torrie Wilson) at an autograph signing the Friday before WrestleMania. The person in question sent an e-mail to NBC 11 describing the heroic event. After the fan collapsed and started having the seizure, Mickie got up and tended the man, keeping him calm as his seizure began to pass. The person who suffered the seizure described Mickie as being extremely helpful during the situation and sincerely concerned over his well-being. If we can find the article on the NBC11.com, we'll link it here.-- The latest edition of WWE Magazine (with Triple H on the cover) features an interview with SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero, not to mention a photo of her shopping at the super market. The magazine asked Guerrero her thoughts on "wrestling wives that suddenly decide to condemn WWE in the media." Vickie responded, "I'm very disappointed with them. When they were a part of WWE and their husbands were working, they had no problems cashing the paychecks. But, if something goes wrong, they're the first ones to lash out. I've never been a public person - when Eddie passed away, I declined every interview request.I didn't want to go on TV and tell everyone how I felt. But this business has put food on our table for more than 20 years. It's taken care of my kids, and these people have become a second family to me. I don't have any respect for the women who've forgotten that this business fed their families for a long time." After the Benoit stuff went down, Debra McMichael and the widow of the late Johnny Grunge did a lot of media talking about the ills of the wrestling business. Also in the interview, Guerrero talks about Eddie having her practice wrestling moves on their bed to give him ideas for matches.-- WWE.com has a photo shoot with Melina doing a Cinco de mayo theme, which you can see at this link.

WrestleMania 24 PPV Numbers Are In – WWE Disappointed

The PPV numbers are in for WrestleMania 24, and they are considerably lower than WWE and Floyd Mayweather expected. WrestleMania 24 drew 1,058,000 buys which works out to $23.8 million. This is less than last year’s 1,200,000 buys and $24.4 million for WrestleMania 23. The numbers were released this morning with WWE’s first quarter earnings report, which had the company listed as pulling in $19.5 million in net earnings over the first quarter of 2008.

ProWrestling.net reports that Vince McMahon was targeting 1.4 million buys for WrestleMania 24, and this number is viewed as a disappointment for WWE. Floyd Mayweather publicly predicted the number would beat out WrestleMania 23, which featured Donald Trump. Nonetheless, $19.5 million is a pretty decent first quarter figure.

We get a video package highlighting William Regal's coronation featuring the return of Mr. Kennedy, which resulted in the two brawling. Then later in the show, Regal pulled the main event of Randy Orton vs. Triple H off the air mid-match, in case you hadn't heard. Regal wants respect, is the general message.

Vince McMahon is at the top of the ramp. He gets no music. He says last week, Regal did something no one has ever done. He pulled the plug in the middle of a championship match. Because of that, many people protested and want a response. Vince says those actions were reprehensible. But he also finds his actions to be innovative, daring, and visionary. Regal reminds Vince of himself. Shocking. Vince is endorsing Regal as King and General Manager. He wants us to show Regal the same respect we have for him. No problem.

We're in Toronto, Canada with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.

William Regal is out and has new music, though he might have had it last week. He gets to the ring and takes a mic. We may not like him, but we'll respect him. He is prepared to turn out the lights again. "Regal sucks" – Toronto. "So be it" – Regal. Lights out on Regal's request. Apparently, Regal still sucks. Regal has them turned back on again. This show will continue, but we may not be able to see it. He's willing to have the show in darkness. He won't tolerate disrespect…

Kennedy! Kennedy gets a massive pop for the interruption. Kennedy chants from the Toronto crowd. He says if Regal wants respect, then all he has to do is go one-on-one with him, tonight. Regal says Kennedy doesn't get it. Kennedy doesn't know his place because Regal is his superior. Kennedy tells him to prove it. Regal intends to… Kennedy is in the main event against ECW Champion Kane… and the WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and Miz… and the Money in the Bank winner CM Punk… and the former ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero… and his bodyguard Bam Neely… and the rest of the ECW roster. It's a part of the arrangement he has with Armando Estrada in exchange for promoting tomorrow night's 100th episode of ECW…

Time to play The Game! Another massive pop for Hunter. Triple H asks for Regal's pardon and he means no disrespect. He wanted to congratulate Regal on his new found position of power. He wants to offer Regal some advice. If he wants to stay in that position, he needs to not make mistakes… for example, last week. He turned the lights out on Triple H's match… mistake. After the show, he came out and ended the match… a mistake. He disrespected The Game. That was a mistake. If he wants to maintain his position, you do not want to go to war with The Game.

Regal says he wouldn't want to do that… Triple H is far too busy. He has the cage match in 2 weeks but tonight's it's going to be ECW vs. Kennedy and Triple H! Mistake?

Women's Championship Lumberjack Match – Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix

Your Lumberjacks are the 10 chicks who have been involved in those 12 man tags that aren't named Mickie or Beth. Maria looks stunning tonight. Seriously, it's ridiculous. Mickie gets a big pop. No super special ring announcing here. They lock up and go to the corner. Clean break. Lock up again and Mickie gets shoved to the mat. She ducks a clothesline and grabs a waistlock but goes down to a shoulder tackle for 2. Mickie gets tossed outside where the heels put a beating on her. The face Divas make the save as Victoria rolls Mickie back in and Beth gets a 2 count. Mickie fights back with a forearm, reverses a hip toss and hits a neckbreaker for just 1. Mickie gets tripped and goes to the floor to take out Jillian. It's breaking down on the floor as we go to break with Beth covering for 2. These chicks just love to get on each other. I'm not complaining. We come back with Phoenix in control using a bow and arrow like move. We get an awesome shot of Maria's cleavage. What? It's a rest hold. Mickie refuses to give up and gets to her feet and counters with two feet to the face. Beth misses an elbow and almost gets caught with a roll-up. She pulls Mickie up but eats a dropkick. They exchange forearms and Mickie gets a kick, and another. Mickie goes to the top but gets pulled down. She fights them off and hits a Thez press and gets 2. Mickie hits another kick, another is blocked and she nails an enziguri. On the floor, the faces beat down Beth and toss her in. Maria gets dragged in causing a distraction. Melina's in the ring with the title, swings, misses and nails Beth! Mickie tosses Melina and rolls up Beth for the 3!

Winner – And STILL Women's Champion, Mickie James!

The replay shows that Melina hit Beth with her boot, not the title belt like I first thought.

Backstage, Chris Jericho is with Regal. Last week, Jericho insinuated that Shawn faked the knee injury. Jericho says that's what Michaels does. Tonight, it's Jericho and Michaels vs. Miz and Morrison. Regal says Jericho has nothing to worry about!

Back from a break, and Trevor Murdoch is singing again. Trish Stratus is here! Huge pop! Ron Simmons is back! Thoughts? DAMN! Best segment ever.

We get a video package of Ron Simmons being inducted into the College Hall of Fall.

Tonight – Mr. Kennedy and Triple H vs. ECW

Todd Grisham is with Randy Orton. Orton says The Game would have us believe that he had the match won, but he didn't. Regal is the GM and King, so Orton respects him. Tonight, CM Punk will see the gold, hard reality of what will happen if Punk decides to cash in Money in the Bank on him, because Orton will win the gold back at Judgment Day and the Age of Orton will resume.

Paul Burchill and the lovely Miss Katie Lea vs. John Cutler

Kutler's from Toronto. Guess who's winning. William Regal is here and turns off Jim Ross' microphone. To call this next match… Mike Adamle! He gets major heel heat! Awesome. Jim Ross is pissed and walks around the announcing area. Katie shoves Cutler. Purchill takes Cutler down and stomps him. He hits a couple of forearms. Lea boots the boots to the kid. "We don't know much about Cutler except that his name rhymes with butler." True, Mike, true. Why do we have a chinlock in a squash? Adamle says it's not a handicap match. Burchill keeps booting Cutler. Cutler gets a hold of Lea but gets nailed from behind. Burchill applies a surfboard and Lea comes off the top with a double stomp! Sick! She might have hurt her knee on that. The curb stomp finishes. Lea gets the pin.

Winners – Katie Lea and Paul Burchill

JR is sat at ringside with his legs crossed. He looks bored.

Jericho tells Michaels to have his back tonight. Shawn says he's hurt but he'll do his best.

Jim Ross is back on commentary and puts over the WWE Tag Champs in a big way. Good to hear. Unfortunately, calling them the "future of tag team wrestling in WWE" implies that there is any sort of future for tag team wrestling in WWE.

Tickets for the Great American Bash go on Saturday at 10AM.

It's Canada, so Michaels gets major heel heat. He's limping to the ring. JR mocks Canadians for not being able to get over Montreal. I wonder if he means it when he calls Bret Hart a "legitimate" Canadian hero.

John Morrison and The Miz vs. Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho

Miz and Jericho start us off. They work a few waistlock reversals and Miz eats a back elbow from Jericho, followed up by a vertical suplex. He hits a few forearms and connects with a dropkick. Morrison in and takes a hip lock for 1. Morrison avoids a charge and hits a kick. Sunset flip reversed into a Walls of Jericho try. Miz tries a cheap shot but takes a springboard dropkick. Morrison connects with his springboard leg lariat though. Miz back in. Jericho fights out of a chin lock but gets caught by a clothesline in the corner. Morrison in and nails European uppercut, and another. Jericho tries for a tag but gets dumped in the other corner. Morrison charges into a boot and hits his bulldog. Walls on Miz! Morrison breaks it up with a roundhouse kick to the back of the head. Morrison cheap shots Michaels. Morrison wants his neckbreak but Shawn hits Sweet Chin Music! The Lionsault gets the 3!

Winners – Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels

I told you it was next. Orton gets a good-sized pop in the same place he won his first World Championship from Chris Benoit. He was popular then, too. Orton looks angry, like someone woke him up too early or something. Punk gets a good reaction, too. I believe this is the first meeting between these two. King points out that Punk is turning up on all three brands because of the MITB contract.

Orton grabs a side headlock and gets the first knock down with a shoulder block. Side headlock again by Orton, and another knock down. Punk comes back with a number of kicks and clotheslines Orton to the floor. Punk tries a plancha, Orton moves and Punk lands on the apron, but Orton yanks him off and Punk takes a nasty flat back bump on the floor. Back in and Orton gets 2. Orton connects with those measured stomps to the knees and ankles and head of Punk. Punk avoids the knee drop and knots up the thighs off Orton. Orton ducks a springboard reverse cross body and gets two. Orton applies the chin lock now, believe it or not. Punk comes back with a knee to the gut of Orton, a roundhouse kick, high knee in the corner and a bulldog! That all gets 2! Punk takes Orton down… and Regal is here. Lights out. Great. Forgive me if I don't recap this part. Oh, this match is officially over.

Winner – Um, Regal?

Backstage, Orton wants to know what's going on. It's been two weeks in a row and he's going to Regal's office, right now! Big pop for that.

Carlito is here with his Cabana. What happened last week between Santino and Roddy The Piper was not cool. Carlito introduces Rowdy Roddy Piper. Carlito welcomes Piper. He knows how annoying Santino can be, but Piper went too far. Piper says he's been taking it too far all his life. He beat Mr. T and Hulk Hogan and doesn't have time to play "nice nice" to the Super Mario Brother. His name is Rowdy Roddy Piper and he did it his way, with a slap. Carlito says they are future tag champions. Carlito says he would have slapped him back. Piper says he is lucky he didn't bring a seagull to beat him up and make a nest in that thing he calls a hair do. Santino is here, apparently no longer under the influence. Santino says Piper is all his. Rodney the Piper says he's so tough. Santino says it took him 8 years to become Intercontinental Champion doing it [Piper's] way whereas Santino won the gold on his first night. Piper says Santino needs to get a designated driver! Winner! Business is about to pick up when Cody Rhodes turns up. This is not how you treat a legend. Carlito says Cody's boyfriend Hardcore isn't here. Buy Cody has more back up in the form of Cryme Tyme. Rhodes and Cryme Tyme hit the ring. They chill in the Cabana and Santino and Marella bail. Tonight, it ain't about that money, money… it's about that Rowdy, Rowdy, yeah, yeah! Piper dancing is a disturbing sight.

Judgment Day:
Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship: Triple H vs. Triple H
JBL vs. John Cena

In the back, JBL says none of us could know what it is like to be him. He's going to take us for a ride in his stretch limo. There's plenty of legroom, a bar and a full internet connection. Cena likes cars, but JBL rides in the back. At Judgment Day, Cena's going to be in a car crash. JBL wants to give us a preview of Judgment Day. JBL runs down DH Smith and Canada. He says Davey Boy, nor Bret nor God can help him right now.

JBL vs. DH Smith

Clubbing blows, a knee, a big boot. Another big boot. JBL with a clothesline. And a lariat. JBL connects with a couple of elbow drops before nailing the Clothesline From Hell for the win.

Winner – JBL

Mickie James got some rare promo time in an after match interview for WWE.com. Joey Styles interviewed James on her win over Beth Phoenix last night on Raw. Also, you can read the letter sent in by a 911 dispatcher who tended to the person who suffered a seizure at a Mickie James/Torrie Wilson autograph signing during WrestleMania weekend. The dispatcher was waiting in line for an autograph when the seizure occurred. Frank wrote, "She truly was a vital part of the first aid process. I would like to thank Mickey for her help. She was very concerned for the man's well-being and was crying. She truly exemplified what it means to be a WWE superstar." Thanks to Briggs for the link.

In case you missed it, Trish Stratus made a cameo appearance on Raw last night in a random segment with Ron Simmons and Trevor Murdoch. The WWE site managed to snag an interview with Trish, who discussed her return to Raw.

Regarding WWE matches, he said, "Everything whatever you see out there is real." Khali also added, "Sometimes wrestlers receive serious injuries, and even die in the ring. There is no way of manipulation by the media." You can read "WWE bouts are real, not manipulated, says Khali" at this link.-- This is your big chance if you've ever wished to become a WWE Superstar. WWE's holding wrestler tryouts -- for people living in Australia and New Zealand. "Bushwacker" Butch Miller and management from Kiwi Pro Wrestling are holding WWE tryouts in Auckland, New Zealand on June 11. For more information, click here. Only a few applicants will be selected. WWE has held a few tryouts in New Zealand in the past, but has never signed anyone. Also, WWE held tryouts in the U.K. last year, and with the exception of one wrestler (Hade Vansen), the only wrestlers that landed contracts and are still employed are guys with the overly muscular look that WWE covets; Drew McIntyre, Stu Sanders (who is 6 foot 7) and Sheamus O'Shaunessy (who looks like a bodybuilder). -- IndiaTimes.com has an interview with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. When asked to name his most challenging opponent, Austin said, "I wouldn't say challenging, but there were a few favorites like Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and The Rock. Bret Hart and I shared great chemistry in the ring too." Austin also shares a story on The Great Khali. "Khali’s a very nice guy, we get along very well. While we were shooting for The Longest Yard, we used to work out together. I’ll never forget the time when Khali walked into the women’s loo in the gym by mistake! The girls were hysterical and Khali was so embarrassed!" Austin also talks about how the "Stone Cold" name was created and how much of his image was pre-planned. WWE Talent Unhappy With New Drug Testing Procedures, Wrestler Cheats Posted by PWPIX on 05/07/2008source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter World Wrestling Entertainment has changed their drug testing procedure after the company got wind of some wrestlers cheating on drug tests by using a "Whizzinator." The "Whizzinator" is an easy to conceal urinating device with a realistic prosthetic penis that's used to defeat drug tests. WWE has since fired a crew of people who were collectors for not monitoring things a bit more closely. WWE brought in a new crew of monitors to television and the new rule for talent is that you have to be nude "from your ankles to your nipples." This new testing procedure has left a lot of talent unhappy on two fronts. Perhaps the biggest complaint is that it's not exactly fun for talent to have to take off their clothes in front of a monitor and then watch them urinate, especially from the people who were doing things fair and square. Also, there were some wrestlers getting by the drug tests thanks to the "Whizzinator," and that has obviously left the cheaters unhappy. WWE believed they had to do it because if someone who cheated got laid off, he or she might brag about how easy it is to cheat the system. The wrestler who apparently caused the new change in procedure is none other than WWE developmental wrestler Afa Anoa'i, Jr., who currently wrestles for Florida Championship Wrestling. Anoa'i is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Afa, younger brother of former WWF tag team champion Samu, and of course, cousin of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who has spoken out numerous times in the past year against drug use in professional wrestling. If you recall, Afa Jr. was suspended back in March for a violation of WWE's drug testing policy. He didn't necessarily fail a drug test, but was caught cheating on one with a "Whizzinator." As a result, he was suspended for 30 days.******************************************************************More WWE Firings On The Way? Names Being Speculated On To Be Let Go Posted by PWPIX on 04/30/2008One source within WWE is saying that you should expect to see some more cuts over the next few weeks, reports WrestlingHerald.com. Names being speculated on by the source include Charlie Haas, Big Daddy V and Drew McIntyre. WWE cleans out the roster every year (usually after WrestleMania) because it's a cost-cutting measure, not to mention that it allows new talent to be called up from developmental to the main roster. At the moment, WWE has approximately 50 talents in developmental.

The following was just posted on WWE.com:

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Torrie Wilson as of today, May 8, 2008. We wish Torrie the best in all her future endeavors.

James said, "It's not like the horse had a heart attack on the field or had something detrimental happen to her. She broke her ankles. So if I went out and broke my ankles, you’re going to put a bunch of ambulances around me and just shoot me up with morphine? Because they are athletes just like us!" Diva Dish also notes that a few of the Raw Divas visited Trish Stratus' yoga studio in Vaughan, Ontario. You can read the article at this link.-- The Great Khali recently met with underprivileged kids in Mumbai to tell them he hopes to build a school for them. He also wants WWE to build a training facility for future wrestlers in India to give the kids something to aim for. Khali denied that violence in wrestling can have an adverse affect on kids. "It is a sport like other sports," he said, "but children should not fight at home." You can read the article at this link.-- Jeff Hardy's 60-day suspension for a second violation of WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy ends tonight. WWE News: Former WWE Star Takes Aim At HBK, Triple H & Flair, Backlash On Blu-Ray?, WWE Returning To KnoxvilleSubmitted by Daniel Pena on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 3:07 PM EST-- Kevin Eck of BaltimoreSun.com has an interview with TNA wrestler Scott Steiner, and he doesn't hold back on a number of topics. He talks about why his WWE run wasn't successful, who should take the blame for the demise of WCW, his injury in Puerto Rico last year, his upcoming match at TNA Sacrifice with Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle, and more. On wrestlers showing respect to Ric Flair on his farewell night on Raw, Steiner said it's written in the show. "It’s written in the show. They have to show up. It's just like if they tell you to go out there and do a match. They had to go out there and pretend like they respect the guy. The only guys that do are Triple H and Shawn Michaels. They’re three peas in a pod – three guys who couldn’t fight their way out of a paper bag. They’re three of the biggest [wusses] that have ever been in the sport. And they’re all friends – imagine that. They all come from the same mold. They were never athletes and the way they got things done was behind closed doors and backstabbing people." Steiner also added that people in WWE are miserable. "I’ll tell you right now: People up there are miserable. Both times that I went up there, it was the most screwed-up place I've ever been." You can read the interview in its entirety at this link.-- WWE Backlash 2008 will be released on DVD on May 27 according to Amazon.com. The event will not be released on Blu-ray, so it looks like with the exception of WrestleMania, WWE won't be releasing regular pay-per-view events in that format quite yet.

- In the new WWE Magazine Superstar Yearbook, Mickie James says that she might be switching brands. Here is what it said, "Despite the lack of Women's Championship, we wouldn't be surprised to see Mickie moved to SmackDown, where she can thoroughly dominate."

In an interesting statement made by Vince McMahon during WWE's 2008 shareholders meeting. When asked when Umaga would get a "big push", Vince replied: "In all likelihood, Umaga will switch brands shortly, and do as well as he possibly can"

So, it looks like Umaga might be heading to Smackdown (or possibly ECW) in the near future.
