The Last Person to Post in This Thread Wins

That's pretty much it for me. I'd say up to the early 60's. Or maybe mid-60's. What year was Sweet Charity? Round about that time.

oh, no! Hang on! Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid. Wasn't that 1969? Hm ...
I don’t know sweet charity. I was thinking about classics actors like Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, Clarke Gable, Marlon Brando etc

Yes Butch Cassidy was 1969, great film but that period was already a different era called “New Hollywood”

omg never seen this ???
i wonder if Emma Bunton was inspired by this ?
Could be. It started out, as all the Hollywood musicals do, as a Broadway show. Choreography and concept by Bob Fosse. It was a huge smash so they turned it into a film and it flopped. No idea why. I think it's brilliant. Sammy Davis Jr is in it so I'm guessing Michael would have seen it. I'd love to know if he liked it. One of my top faves from my childhood. Absolutely love it although the actual story is really, really sad.

I’m taking a break bye everyone, please dream and fantasize over me! Nightmares are NOT allowed! please tell me about your sweet dreams tomorrow 🤗
i had a HORRIBLE day today so i know i'm sleeping good tonight!

also my dreams are super convoluted and random at best so the best i'll get is something like you dancing an Irish jig on the moon while a fish with a cow head circles over me and sings a song about lasagna.

y'all think i'm lying? my dreams are actually like that. 😭 it's like being on drugs without actually being on drugs.

i actually had a dream a couple nights ago (a nightmare actually) that my cousin who is ten years older than me robbed a Walmart and then she ran away after showering herself in beer and galloped NAKED in the tall grass and said she was going to "live with the lions" and then i told my other family members "[cousin] ran away and now she is a lion." and then i was inside the house from Courage the Cowardly Dog and there was blood on the walls 🤢

i swear i'm not making this shit up. i don't know why I can't just have a normal dream for once.

OK, just had a proper look. Yeah, that whole thing is completely taken from Sweet Charity. It's a bit like Iggy Azalea doing her video for Fancy and re-creating Clueless. It's definitely meant to be an homage not a cheap rip-off.

Anyway, forgot to say, Sweet Charity is the film from which Hey Big Spender comes. That's the opening number of the film.

god, I need to get some sleep.
