HOW DARE IT NOT BE WRITTEN IN AUGUST HOW FRIKIN DARE MICHAEL RECORD IT IN JULYI think so
So could there be a demo before the demo lmaoSeems that DYKWYCA is labeled "Do You Know Where The Children Are". Possible alternate/early title ?
Don't think so. Maybe the engineer decided to throw a random "the" in there.Seems that DYKWYCA is labeled "Do You Know Where The Children Are". Possible alternate/early title ?
Wait, you saw a slave reel? Well, that's interesting. When was it created?Or my favorite "Billy Jean", one of the slave reels was named that LOL.
Yes. Though it could take a while for it to happen; snippets of TYLA and the 1987 demo of SPYHO leaked in 2018 but the full songs only came to leak 2 years later. It's hard to predict exactly when they'll leak.Is it a matter of time for leaking more songs like Water ,Adore you and photographs?
Did you heard rocker ?Or my favorite "Billy Jean", one of the slave reels was named that LOL.
Does someone have TYLA in the same quality of the snippetsYes. Though it could take a while for it to happen; snippets of TYLA and the 1987 demo of SPYHO leaked in 2018 but the full songs only came to leak 2 years later. It's hard to predict exactly when they'll leak.
Man, now I want to know what other reels you own, so I can add that info to my session calendar project (which is a list of when songs were recorded).I own more than just this one slave reel. Well it was pulled out in May 1984 (probably for Victory Tour production/playback), but it dates back to July 1982.
As far as I'm aware, most if not all the work on that track was done during the Bad sessions in 1986. It was revisited again for Dangerous, but little to no work was retained from that period. So, it basically exists in the Bad era state, soley.Which version of "Turning me off" was presented for bad25?
Where's this info coming from?It was revisited again for Dangerous, but little to no work was retained from that period. So, it basically exists in the Bad era state, soley.
Beat The ItDon't think so. Maybe the engineer decided to throw a random "the" in there.
Some wow? Tape warp?Speaking of Loving You real quick, am I the only one who notices quite some wow at the beginning of the original demo?
Yeah, pitch variation on the chords of the intro. Some wow? Tape warp?
That was intentionalSome wow? Tape warp?
Yeah, pitch variation on the chords of the intro.
That's even better thenThat was intentional
It's quite annoying to me. I grabbed a copy of the iTunes version of the album, took the song and fixed the wow using iZotope and that's my go-to version for listening now.Yeah, they talk a lot about the distortion. It's actually really cool, purposefully or not.
The Best of Joy redux was mixed with segments and instruments from the Thriller, Dangerous, 2008 and 2010 Version of the song (actually some things are so quiet that you can't really hear them in the final mix). The Intro uses segments from the 1981 and 2008/2010 version.
Hey @mjfp, in the description of your BoJ mix you mention it uses segments of the original demos of the song, apart from the beginning of the third verse does that mean it uses other parts of the 2008 demo too? Does the intro come from The Toy or does it come from the 2008 demo?
Why?It's quite annoying to me. I grabbed a copy of the iTunes version of the album, took the song and fixed the wow using iZotope and that's my go-to version for listening now.
