I wish Michael was here too to see and hear the appreciation his Bad album is getting. He always put so much hard work into his music. I think he knew his fans loved and appreciated him. As for others, I don't know. It's hard when everything you do gets trashed or criticised all the time. I think he tried to stay positive and strong.

Can we buy this now?? I thought I read it was going to be on TV around Thanksgiving, but will it be or is it already available on DVD? Thanks =)

The DVD will be coming out in Feb. 2013. So looking forward to it!

Toronto Screening was great ! Spike was only on stage for 2 minutes because he had to catch his plane :( But the complete docuntary shows some amazing studio footage. Also fans of APOM will enjoy a Bad tour (film source) montage (not the music video). Either way it was a great experience.

Does anyone know if there is still any talk about taking the docu to the theatres? Or will they only show it on film festivals?

^The estate hasn't made any announcement yet - it just seems film festivals and tv.

I can't go through the whole thread : could somebody who has seen the film tell me how much new footage/material is in the film? I don't care about talking heads gushing about how much they loved Bad when they bought it when they were 10 : all I'm interested in is unseen audio and video from MJ.

You have a wrong idea if you think is just people unrelated gushing. Its the people who were actually there working with MJ during that time, telling the events .. all though rare footage is desirable a doc with just rare footage doesnt tell the story.
Plus when the DVD comes out we will get an added hour of more behind the scene footage. :)

So the documentary has a full performance of APOM from paris? And is the MITM from wembley shown in HD in the documentary too ?

APOM Montage is an alternate version from the music video.(probably some shots from France but it has other shows too and some USA shots.) man in the mirror was shown at the end (Wembley DVD version)

It will be shown today at the RIO Festival here in Brazil, unfortunately I can't make it. But as soon as the reviews come out I'll post it here.

I don't have time to go through this thread right now but I heard last night in twitter than channel 7 in Australia has picked up the documentary. Can anyone confirm this??

Thank you Kevin happy you have joined us. You did a great job as Host/MC at the UK Premier. Im going to listen to your interview with Spike soon as im done typing this. So Nice that you featured Our very own "Amie Louise Landsborough" video of the event on your article. Thats is awesome news that BBC will also host the Spike Lee Documentary :) The fans will be so happy.

Hey Kevin, thanks for the info. I visited your site. I remember when TGIM08 was released you supported it on radio.
Keep us updated on the TV showing if you hear any more about it. I hope it gets a mainstream slot on a major channel not BBC3 for example. If Sony or the MJ EState manage to secure a MJ night (or even just show this documentary) on BBC1 then I will be a happy bunny. I just hope the poor sales for BAD25 don't influence the BBCs programmers to show it on BBC3 instead of BBC1.

Sales have not been poor in the UK. It's Nr 6th on the album charts. And the DVD is Nr 2 on the DVD charts.

Yes it BAD25 did very well in UK plus I dont know why that would cause BBC to pull out on Spikes documenrtary. That is seperate and it has had rave reviews every where its premiered. :)
