Just googled it, its true, not a hoax
 
Prince has been ill for atleast a week now. I'm wondering how bad is it, he even cancelled shows last week which is something he never does.

Thanks, Michael's Lover-I kept coming up empty-but I was just on Facebook and it they had something there-looks like he has the flu, was released from the hospital and is now at home.

Apparently it's confirmed now. I am so shocked.

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (KMSP) - Prince is dead at 57, TMZ and the Associated Press have confirmed, citing the pop star's publicist. Law enforcement at the scene confirmed to Fox 9 that a death is under investigation at Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Paisley Park is the compound where Prince lives, records music and hosts parties and concerts, including one party just a few days ago.
Carver County Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud confirmed a response to a medical call at 9:43 a.m. The crime lab and medical examiner are on scene, but law enforcement said no official identification will be released until notifications are made.

I am very sad, but I knew something was fishy, the postponed concert on April 7, the hospitalisation last week and now this. I am very sad, but not going to say my heart is broken, mainly as I am 40 not 14. But the world has lost one of its last remaining pop music geniuses.

I think you all know how I felt about Prince, but I can say at least he is with Michael now. I knowhe will have his polace with Michael and Whitney, Jimi Hendrix and of course the recently arrived David Bowie.

This is a bad year though guys, Bowie and now Prince, I mean come on!

As far as I see it all we have left is Paul McCartney, Madonna, and Janet.

I kinda think Prince hurt his legacy by having his music on lockdown (from what I know none of his music or concerts are on youtube, correct me if I'm wrong though).
I think it would be a good idea to release his music and whatnot on YouTube so that people for generations to come can know why he's one of the best. :yes:
