Possible witnesses - Information and Discussion

No point thinking like that.he was already gone long before re the marks etc

I read somewhere that Murray placed the oximeter on Mikes finger only after the fact, in other words it was not on Mike's finger when he died. Which means Murray was not monitoring Mike's oxygen intake that morning.
I remember there were some confusing accounts on that at the time. But according to some notes from Alberto's testimony, Murray took the pulse oximeter off from the finger when moving MJ from the bed to the floor and then he replaced it.

However, Murray must not have been making a great use of the device since he told police that he realised MJ was not breathing because he looked at his chest for movements (up and down), and he didn't observe any... SO he was not using the device, anyway.

was this the same oximeter that was found in the bag in the closet or another

Yeah i thought i remember alberto or one of the guards testifying to that

Just with the testimony of the bodyguards, Murray go straight in jail!

I thought the bodyguard said Murray only put it on MJ's finger after the 911 call was made and the paramedics were on the way.
That's what I thought at first but then some notes I read made me change my mind...

Now I realise that some of those notes were incomplete and as such I must take them...

Fans inside court reported that pulse oximeter was only put on after paramedics came.

According to LA Times:

"Alvarez said he did not see any heart or blood pressure monitors in the room, but Murray clipped a monitoring device to Jackson’s finger after paramedics were called".

According to Sproket's notes:

"Dr Murray assisted in bringing the body to the floor. There was a pulse oximeter on his finger, Dr Murray took it off his finger. (I think I have that correct.)
(...) CROSS:
One of the things you testified, that there was a dark brown machine on the bed?
Yes sir.
But that was also placed on Michael Jackson's finger when it was placed on. That was actually during the time of the call. "

So Murray was not monitoring MJ at all which we all know.. If he was monitoring him MJ could've been saved unless Murray wanted him dead

NineOfMichaelJackson'sFormerDocsCouldBeCalledAsWitnessesInDr.ConradMurrayTrial

By Jen Heger - Radar Legal Editor
Dr. Conrad Murray's criminal defense team has nine of Michael Jackson's former doctors on their witness list, all of whom could be called at his upcoming involuntary manslaughter trial, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
In court documents reviewed by RadarOnline.com, Dr. Murray's lawyers list 103 people who could be called at the trial, including a nurse practitioner Cherilyn Lee who claims Jackson asked her for Propofol in the weeks leading up to his death, but she refused to supply it.

Among the doctors on the list, which includes Dr. Arnold Klein, is Dr. Neil Ratner, who toured with Jackson in 1996 and 1997. According to a CNN report Dr. Ratner would keep medical equipment which would monitor Jackson's vital signs as he was "under." Jackson allegedly had trouble sleeping and utilized the anesthesiologist to "take him down" and "bring him back up."
Ratner confirmed that Michael Jackson suffered from a sleep disorder, but wouldn't elaborate further than that. It's anticipated that Dr. Murray's lawyers Ed Chernoff and Michael Flanagan will grill Dr. Ratner about the specifics of his medical treatment of Jackson.

Dr. David Adams, a Las Vegas anesthesiologist who gave Jackson Propofol at least four times for medical procedures, is also on the witness list. As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the defense feels "Dr. Adams is clearly relevant."
Cherilyn Lee, a nurse practitioner and nutritionist who worked for Jackson, and claimed in the days after his sudden death that he had asked her for Propofol in April 2009, was served with a subpoena to testify at the trial by Dr. Murray's defense team in May 2011.

"Cherilyn is prepared to testify at the trial and tell the truth. Cherilyn has never spoken with anyone from the District Attorney's office. She was interviewed in the weeks after Jackson's death by the coroner and the LAPD. Cherilyn hasn't heard from those agencies since that time," an insider connected to the case tells us.
Jury selection in the criminal trial against Dr. Murray begins on September 8, 2011, and is anticipated to take several weeks to select a jury. Opening arguments are slated for the last week of September. The trial could last until Thanksgiving.

Dr. Conrad Murray faces up to four years in state prison if convicted of the charge.
Dr. Murray is the only doctor connected with Jackson who has been criminally charged in connection with the superstar's death.

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

The problem with this is no matter how much murrays defense team try to rattle mj's former doctors it wont help his case. Those doctors at least monitered michael when giving him medictaion to help him sleep, unlike murray .

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

Nothing new there. These drs are on the pros witness list i believe and arent hostile witnesses like they are for the defence.typical spinning media article to make it look juicy.Adams is a smoking gun witness against murray lee was asked for diprivan in april? Muray was working for mj then and buying dip.so makes no sense and mj told lee my dr says its fine to use aslong as u are watched so a great defence witness not!.we all know who that dr was!and didnt lee say mj was asking for an anethetist.and ratner has never talked about the history era

And Lee is a great witness considering Murray tried to throw her under a bus. And none of these witness have anything to do with June 25 2009

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

yep, none of those doctors were with MJ on June 25.

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

The doctor's who did treat Michael with Propofol had a live patient at the end of the procedure - Murray sadly did not!

None of Michael's other "9 doctors" killed him, Conrad Murray by his own admission actively performed a procedure that did kill Michael Jackson.

By the way, I, for one, don't trust Nurse Cherilyn Lee.

Um...none of these other doctors have anything to do with what happened on June 25, 2009.
Why am I not surprised to see Klein going against the state (Michael) here? Not that he would help the defense at all. None of these witnesses will. They're irrelevant.

Saw another promo today on TruTV for the trial. They showed Murray's smug face saying "I'm innocent." I wanted to punch him, it made me sick to my stomach to see/hear that.

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

Lee is still hiding. She was all over the news giving interviews on the TV Guide channel and other channels in July 09. These doctors did not kill Michael. So Michael may have had the same medication during the history tour, but that was not in 09. I looked at TII last week and saw the night he wore the shirt the fans gave him, and as you all know he looked pretty healthy and alive. I really do not think Adams, Lee, and co killed him some years ago guys.

Every time I see him with that shirt, I think if he only knew that he had only a few hours to live!!!! Breaks your heart!!!

I think the defence would be hard pressed to find any doctor to stand up in court and say murray was correct in his actions. I guess at some point we will get a final witness list?

Posting for the first two paragraphs. Please note the article does not state where they get the information regarding the defences stategy from.

Defence witnesses listed for Michael Jackson trial

Published: 8:48PM Tuesday August 16, 2011 Source: BangShowbiz

Nine medical staff are set to give evidence that Michael Jackson was mentally unstable at the time of his death.

Lawyers acting for Dr Conrad Murray - who is due to stand trial for the involuntary manslaughter of the music legend following his passing from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - have a list of 103 potential witnesses, including doctors and nurses, in hope of strengthening his claim that he did not administer the lethal dose of the anaesthetic that killed the iconic singer by exposing Michael's erratic behaviour and demanding personality.

Among those who could be called as witnesses are Dr Arnold Klein - a dermatologist who Murray's lawyers previously blamed for getting Michael addicted to painkillers - and Cherilyn Lee, a nurse who claims the 'Thriller' hitmaker asked her for Propofol in the weeks leading up to his death, but she refused to supply the powerful anaesthetic.

A source told RadarOnline.com: "Cherilyn is prepared to testify at the trial and tell the truth. Cherilyn has never spoken with anyone from the District Attorney's office. She was interviewed in the weeks after Jackson's death by the coroner and the LAPD. Cherilyn hasn't heard from those agencies since that time."

Dr Neil Ratner, who toured with the singer in 1996 and 1997 is also on the witness list following previous claims that he would keep medical equipment which would monitor his client's vital signs as he was "under".

Ratner was allegedly hired to combat the singer's sleeping problems by "taking him down" and "bringing him back up", a CNN report has previously claimed.

It is expected that Murray's lawyers will quiz Dr. Ratner about the specific details of his medical treatment for the star, as he has previously refused to disclose more than the fact Michael had a sleep disorder.

Dr David Adams, a Las Vegas anaesthesiologist who gave the singer Propofol at least four times for medical reasons, will also be asked to testify.

According to a source, the defence feels "Dr Adams is clearly relevant."

Jury selection for the trial begins on September 8, with opening arguments scheduled to begin on September 26, with the case potentially lasting until November.

Dr Murray could be jailed for up to four years if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

The use of the Propofol in MJ's case was so wrong since the beginning. It was never supposed to be used at home as a sleep aid, even if Murray had all the equipments at MJ's home.

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

"Nine medical staff are set to give evidence that Michael Jackson was mentally unstable at the time of his death."

This is so much worst for Murray because if MJ was mentally unstable he should have make double sure all drug are lockup safe, that way mj could not harm himself,
I agree with you fellow fans all this talk is to confuse the jury.
Either way mentally unstable or a out of control drug addict it was Murray responsibility to protect MJ that was his reason for being there.
How can murray claim mj was not in his right mind yet leave him in a room full of drug?
Can you leave a cat in a room full of butter and think the can not going to lick the butter?
The prosecution need to hammer the point of murray responsibility toward his sick patient, and I have faith they will and the jury will see through CM and his defance smoke screen.

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

Yes Bridgett I strongly believe that the jury will see through this red herring. The only bad thing is that Michael's name will be dragged through the mud and the haters will believe all the trash they hear. However, my feeling now is that nothing will change their minds, so I am only interested in justice for Michael. We have to remember for every person who gives an addict statement on the stand the prosecution will be cross-examining, and that is where those giving false evidence usually crumble. Let them bring in 9 doctors or 99, I am not concerned. I am waiting for the autopsy evidence.

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

Those 9 drs arent defence witnesses and none of them have called mj an addict.so theres no issue.all treated mj for legitimate issues and where cleared by the dea.the story is nothing but a shit stir

Re: Nine of michael jackson's former doctors could be called as witnesses

Remember any talks on propofol started after Lee's interview. Then she vanished.
What is there to trust about her?
