Re: INSIDE INFO about This is it DVD/Blu-Ray
Don't be fooled into thinking Disney are going to mess this up, they know just how much this can make for them, Disney International Marketing is in my opinion the BIGGEST force in advertising today, they could release it under one of their labels to move away from the "kiddie" image of Disney too, like using Dreamworks/Miramax/Touchstone... by getting Universal involved they have greater reaches in Europe, so it makes sense to combine power to really sell this!
The two week run wasn't so much to get the DVD out quick I think, it was a "OMG I have to get tickets RIGHT NOW!" thing, people see limited and think it'll be gone in a flash so don't put off buying tickets => More Sales
...one thing that worries me though, Disney, milking as they do, may release the DVD, then 6 months later release a "Special Edition" with new menus or something stupid, then after three years release the "Platinum Edition" with .03 extra seconds of a foot that may or may not be Michael's and then after 5 years release the "Anniversary Edition" with and interview with Joe Jackson or something ungodly like that.
This needs to be done right, and with class. I'm not sure Disney's dollar-signed eyeballs can manage that...
