Official track list of bad 25th anniversary special edition is unveiled

to be honest I would have preferred the songs dropped from the second leg rather than IJCSLY & Bad! but that's just me being picky :D can't wait! I'm sure the final DVD quality will be good too! can't wait :woohoo:

I've been campaigning that all day on this forum :D
Nobody seems to care.
Yes, those 2 songs were from the album BAD, but they were also performed at Wembley, so...

Anyhow, I'm glad this DVD and the Spike Lee thing is coming out so I can finally make my super Bad Tour video thing. I've always wanted to make mix together all the various pro shot stuff from the tour and behind the scenes into one long show, but there wasn't enough 2nd leg material to do it.

the reason why The Way You Make Me Feel was not performed. "In addition to the complete Wembley Show, the DVD will also contain The Way You Make Me Feel from Michael’s July 15th performance at Wembley Stadium. This is the only song not performed on July 16th due to the late start of that night’s show."

That makes sense. There are very strict rules about what time concerts can finish due to the noise. I bet it started late cos MJ was having that meet with Princess Diana. He's in his opening outfit in the video of that so it must have happened just before the show started. So I guess that's why.

By the way, it's interesting how a couple of those demos have never been heard of before. We knew about Price of Fame and Al Capone and MJ mentioned Free during the Mexico deposition. But the others have never been heard of before as far as I'm aware.

Is there a possibility that international editions of the album will have other/extra tracks? I'm looking at you, Japan. :ciao:

Japan should have the full Yokohama show. Or a Tokyo 88 show :D

There are plenty of things in the vault to last a long time. We are in no danger of the well running dry anytime soon. Demo's in various different stages. For instance, there are at least 2 separate demo's of The Girl Is Mine, and that's just the one's we know of. Alternate vocal takes, live performances. I don't appreciate it when companies try to bleed you dry by giving you a few crumbs every few years, and then make you buy the same thing again years later for a few more crumbs. Strictly speaking as a consumer, I think that is very slimy and only serves to build a bad rapport with the people you are trying to sell to. Just my opinion. I'll still buy this release and enjoy what we have been given. Though I will probably turn it off when the remixes start.

.MJJU can now confirm the DVD of Michael’s legendary July 16, 1988 concert at Wembley Stadium WILL feature a Dirty Diana performance. Many fans suspected the performance was taken out and even Michael himself said it wasn’t in the July 16 show attended by Princess Diana but we’ve been told on good authority it “is indeed included in the concert.”
We can also reveal the DVD video and sound quality have been restored to a very high standard… not high-def but a quality much higher than the video teaser released last week to various news outlets.
Bad 25 will be released on September 18, 2012. You can pre-order it on Amazon or MyPlay.

I swear Pitbull is putting himself in everything these days. You could make a song of your own and when you upload it onto your computer there will magically be a Pitbull rap verse on there

:hysterical: :hysterical: exactly lol. That's what people always joke about but it's TRUE..I must admit this is the last song I expected him to appear.. bleh :/

Absolutely thrilled. I will say I'm disappointed that it's only 5 new demos. I just don't see the point including Streetwalker and Fly Away etc again. Why, I don't really understand it. Superb overall though - as it seems here, they're doing a fantastic job. By the sounds of it, it's the original Bad album we're getting which is pretty important as well.

its so we dont have to skip past quincy anymore:D

I'm in shock... Idk why people are complaining this is as great and excellent as anything that's been released so far gets! But when will we actually get a trailer of the DVD quality? I hope we get it sometime this week or next before I preorder!

It's not complaining. It's just giving our opinions on how the set could have been improved. Nothing wrong with that.

First of all, I would like to thank the MJ Estate for releasing this wonderful anniversary edition of Bad to celebrate 25 years of one of Michael Jackson's greatest albums. I am really glad they finally revealed the tracklist and even more glad that we'll get to hear some unheard demos, included the infamous Al Capone.

However, I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed with what they decided to put on CD 2. This is my opinion but perhaps instead of the Bad era demos they've already released (Fly Away, Streetwalker, Don't Be Messin' Around, etc...), I sort of wished they had put the demos like Hot Fever and Pyramid Girl in their place (I was REALLY hoping for the demo of "Bad". Y'know, Pee? LOL But, I digress). HOWEVER, maybe they'll see their release in the future. I'm definitely not complaining. Perhaps those who weren't able to buy the 2001 special edition and hear these songs can now have another chance. Either way...dude. The Price Of Fame is on here. Al Capone!

All and all, I can't wait to hear what these songs sound like. I can't wait to get the thing period!

Happy Bad 25! I'm glad to be here for this! I wish I could say the same for Michael but I'm sure he's watching us and reflecting back on those days...the Bad Era days.

I bought it then and I'm not complaining at all about the return of Fly Away and Streetwalker, since those songs became all time faves of mine then. I guess the Pitbull remix is the least least fave but other than that, all GREAT and beyond. Al Capone is making me sooooo excited, all the unheard songs in fact.

Bunch of BAD Era songs that could be added to the disc. I really think they could've added at least 4-5 more. And there must be even more, as songs like "I'm So Blue", "Free" and "Song Groove" were unknown until now (as far as I know).

Are we even sure the Estate has all of these songs? If they could't locate HQ video recordings, who knows how many songs they haven't found (yet). It would be nice to have the full list of material that the Estate has at their disposal and be able to pick and choose. But we don't. There were talks about 2-3 albums of new material (one of which was Michael), which tells me they may not have as much stuff as we'd like to believe.

I'm glad that Bad, Smooth Criminal and the others are being released in their original mixes.

Well Don't Be Messin' was released earlier this year so I guess that takes it down to 5 :)
It's 6 new songs. DBMR is the first single, but it's still a new song on the album. Black or White was the first single from Dangerous, but that doesn't mean Dangerous was only 13 new songs.

This is some awesome news.. YAYYYYYY!!!! For some reason it does not baffel me that some still complaine though. To be honest this has more than I expected.. I mean Thriller 25 excluding remixes had so much less yet people really did not complaine. Were just happy they were celebrating and had minimal new material. This has more, AND a dvd, yet some are never happy..

There can always be better and bigger, be happy with how much we are getting.. Don't forget they didn't have to release anything. If they released 8 new songs, we would hear "It should be 11-13 to make a full album out of it"..

I am so excited and can't wait to hear and see this.... NEXT MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't expect everyone to be, it's normal and I don't see anything wrong with that, Michael himself was a hard one to please.

The only ones complaining are the ones complaining about people having a different opinion to them :) . And I am happy with this release. I also know it could have been even better. I'm not going to withhold my opinion just because it's not 100% satisfaction with everything the estate does. I think it's silly for anyone to be expected to. As long as we are stating our opinions in a thoughtful, respectful manner I don't see why it should be an issue. It also gives the estate a better idea of what fans want.

Any chance Bad and IJCSLY from Yokohama is from a different night from the one we already have ?

That is a good question... We are of course assuming that they are using the TV broadcast version on dvd and not the Jumbrotron shots. And also we don't know how many broadcast versions were recorded because often they will record a "safety" show just incase something goes wrong with the show the planned to actually air.

Okay, Sept 18 will be like Christmas for us.. have you all considered in what order you will listen and view things? I was thinking watch the bonus performances first, because as a kid i've always loved licking the cake bowl before dinner was served. Haha. then watching the main DVD performance and then listening to the live CD and finally listening to the original Bad album. Is anyone else following in that order or will you all pop in all the discs at once, hit play and just gorge it all at once?

Really the only downside to this is that Michael want see are smiling faces on Xmas morning opening his gifts and thinking wow i should have released these a long time ago. Tears..

I'll probably pop in disc 2 first, play it all the way up until it gets to the remixes, then stop it, play it through again, and then listen to a few seconds of each remix to see if they're even worth listening to. Then I'll play disc 1. Then I'll wait until my mother is free, and put on the the DVD and watch it with her. Main concert first, then extras.

Most likely will do it the way WildStyle said, difference is I will watch the DVD with my sister, a huge fan of Michael too :D

Not too bad of a tracklisting. Not as many remixes as I had anticipated, which is good...because Remixes are shit IMO. Not surprised to see Streetwalker, Fly Away and IJCSLY- Spanish version on here. Since Bad25 is the latest Bad project it makes sense for Sony to put those tracks on there, and stop production on future pressings of Bad- SE 2001.

Could have been more unreleased material added, but I'll be happy with what we got....why release everything now? Space it out for future releases...keep the anticipation for more up...The live cd will be awesome, as will the DVD.

I've listened to Bad about 1000 times. I've never seen Wembley. So I'll be popping that DVD in before anything else.

looking forwar to this release, especially to see the long awaited Wembley concert we were all hoping to see some day! And to hear songs like the Price of Fame and Al Capone that were known to exist since the early 90's (Black & White magazine, Jackson magazine)
FINALLY!!
This time it's a real fan-friendly album, good they did listen to the feedback on Michael & The Immortal Tour cd :)
