Based on the poll in one of these threads, about 50% of the fans don't believe it's Michael on BN. I think that's quite a significant amount of fans, let alone minority. How many of these are willing to stand up and fight however, I won't know.

And in the french forums, more than 80% of the fans think it isn't Michael.

Those who talk about a minority are part of the branwashing done by Sony.

On the Invincible tracks, Corey was producer for few tracks. There are also tracks that are left overs from Invincible.Maybe some are produced by Corey.

Of course that this is motivation for getting mad, if none of your previous productions are featured on the new album.
Rodney Jerkins is on the same page with Corey. He also produced massively for Invincible.

So, I see it more as battlefield here.... those featured on the new album, and those not.

Why would there be something on the website, in fairness of the millions of MJ fans worldwide a couple of 100 here believing a few tweets is hardly a big issue. The carried out investigations on the songs before they released BN so they already knew it was Michael.

Investigations? I will believe it when Sony or the estate will give names and rapports. We don't have any of theses things untill now. Weird.

Gaz can you arrange with the Estate voting contest about these Cascio songs on michaeljackson.com or here on mjjcommunity?? That would be great and that would resolve all this mess in one day. They said in official statement that the fans should be included in decision.. If you can contact them please suggest that.

It ISN'T official. There's nothing on MJ's website! There aren't experts names! There aren't rapports!

This isnt on Michaeljackson.com becuase it isnt a statement from SONY
Its a statement from The Michael Jackson's Estate.

Why are people blaming Sony? Sony is just releasing the album. The track selection and production of the album is handled by the estate.

The estate/Sony had several options of how to proceed. This was one of them. Given the outcry generated by Breaking News already, to leave the Cascio songs ON the album will probably prove to be a PR blunder. Surely Michael has many HUNDREDS of songs that could be spruced up for the album, including songs from the Invincible" sessions?

I think it would be far more sensitive and respectful of fans' sentiments to simply have substituted three other songs. I'm wondering why they DIDN'T? They could have coupled those change to the album WITH their statement of authenticity about the Cascio songs. Out of respect for so many of the fans, this really was an option they could have taken. But they didn't.

I will never forget that my FIRST impression of Breaking News was, "OMG! That's not Michael!" That impression was not influenced by anyone's tweets, blogs, or other public statements. It was simply based on decades of listening to Michael's music, and knowing I've never doubted his voice on a record before.

The Supreme Court justices, themselves, could rule the sky to be purple, but if I go outside and see a blue sky, I know exactly what I'm seeing. Whatever. . . . .

Fans can choose to buy the album, or not buy it. I guess that's where we are now?

It most likely is the finished a capella feat "Michael Jackson" & James Porté. -
Whilst whatever was heard on that meeting was 99% surely before James Porté was added.

People seemed to make it out as the real-acapella-that-was-leaked-by-some-good-soul-trying-to-spread-the-word-that-BN-is-fake. So I just took it as the most recent "jaw-dropping" proof. Just didn't get the reaction the leaker was hoping for, I guess. Peoples' opinions are still the same as before.

Go to all the forums you can think of. Add up all of the 'I'M NOT BUYING 'MICHAEL' voters, times it by 10 if you want, the amount is still going to be a fraction of the public that buy MJ albums. YOU'RE A MINORITY.

A small percentage of people have nothing better to do all day and spend time on insignificant forums - I should know I am one of them - as most normal people have a life.

99% of the buying public are probably not even aware of the fuss being made by a few thousand people world-wide, and the ones that do care even less than you think.

This isn't 'Save the Whales', 'Raise money for the Tsunami devistation', or 'Live Aid 2010'! This is one album from a respected artist amongst a few dozen albums from respected artists being released over the next few weeks.

The general public - the vast majority of the music market - will decide if this album is worthy of being a success, not a few placard waving fanatics with nothing better to do.

I asked everyone I live and work with, that must be at least 80 people, and all but one person thought Michael Jackson is singing on 'Breaking News'. Mind you the one that didn't was my Granddad, and he's 'as deaf as a post'.

So what do we do? All your friends and family say it isn't Michael, and all mine say it is.

It's a tricky situation isn't it?
