honestly ... I`am no longer excited for Opus ... expect to receive other things MJ more interesting and rare than Opus...

O -M - G.... I don't want to think how much I would have to pay to get my Opus out of aduanas. Last time I had to pay some 40 USD to received a few book I ordered from the US... all way cheaper than Opus... I have a headache... but keep on waiting...

Mine has arrived today and I love it (Location Germany), it is my own bought christmas present and the best I ever got!!!
This Book is so huge it is real hard to read but you can really look forward to it.
There are so many great pics in it you can´t count them.
Now I need a place (a litte altar) that is worthy of it.

I'm getting worried.

I live in Brazil and bought the book on November 8, 2009 by Ticketmaster. On the same day I got an email confirmation of purchase of the book. I have not received the book and no e-mail informing about the shipment. :(

What do I do? lol!

Thanks! I´m a longtime reader of this forum but this was the Thread where I had to start to get a bit more active (but it is always hart because you know many germans are not very good in english)

Yes this BOOK is a tresure, you can´t describe it any better so it has to find a great place in my homecinema/livingroom. Michael Jackson and Wrestler Shawn Michaels are taking most of the space of the hole room.

This has been one of the craziest wait of my life. And not that I am that old, but... c'mon, we already have tales to make our own book about this. "Opus... the missing book" or "Walking around Paris", by a group of fellow "Opuses".

Well... who knows. Maybe they have "Male Opus" and "Female Opus" and you got two because after all the time they spent in Paris, they just fell in love and Kraken decided to let them live their love...

ok... it seems we may have progress

i finally got through to opus directly !!!

because of severe weather conditions in scotland and northern england its basically anything being despatched ( no wonder ! )

what they said is that i should recieve my tracking code either tommorow or thursday and to expect delivery Friday or Monday.

the guy i spoke to was lovely actually and he said if i dont recieve a code i have to phone him back directly on friday morning , gave me his name and everything !

feeling a lot more optimistic now :)

everyone think positive thoughts for me !!!
 
My huge Opus finally is here, it arrived two hours ago! Hard to handle but wonderful to look at!

But ... is it only me or does anybody else also have noticed quality issues?? :eek:

I very carefully unwrapped the book on a blanket on the floor. The package was in a perfect shape. When I opened the white paper wrapping around the book I instantly noticed a thin but long mark on the red case, like a cut that did not go through. ??? The paper wrapping was flawless, so for sure this happened before packing it up.

Ok, I would be willing to accept this.

When I opened the book - I only touch it with my white cotton gloves I bought for this purpose - I saw that some of the first pages are slightly damaged. :bugeyed In the middle(!) and also at the bottom of a few consecutive pages there are creases which are very noticeable on this kind of semiglossy paper. My late uncle was a bookbinder and it seems I inherited his passion for beautiful books. And flaws of this kind for me literally are like getting a hack on the shin ...

But...just a little problem...My Opus didn't visit Germany, this is so unfair for it! All the others were in vacation there but mine was just in London and Paris! Damn!

It's here!!!

Fedex said it should arrive on jan 11th, but I just received an email that is has been delivered. I had it delivered to my dads office because I'm not home during the day.

So tomorrow I can pick it up there. I'm so excited, can't wait to see it after reading all the things you guys posted.

I love this book, i looked at it the day it arrived and i was looking tho the book with my dad and i started to cry, and then my dad will go to me whats wrong? and i would say to him i wish he was here with us all and then he goes come on stop crying hes in a better place now prob moonwalking and dancing and looking down on u, hed would'nt want u to be upset now. About the book tho my dad said to me look at it now and again like his b-day and every 25 june and then fold it up in a cloth to keep the dust away from it and protects it even tho it has a shell cover thing, but it will be worth more in time to come.
 
Thinking positive thoughts and wishing everyone who STILL hasn't got their Opus to receive it soon!

the communication sucks, but we have full hope of receiving it. I have being writen to ticketmaster and they respond, they have registered my purchase so at least that's good, lets wait :D. If we don't get it, we'll have to do a friendly visit to Kraken people
