I really dont know whether or not to pre-order it!
I could ask to have it as a christmas present, but its alottt of money :S

Does anyone know how many copies they are going to make?

Are you talking about a completely different Opus book, or just a different distributor? What does the Times have to do with it?

Ah i dont know what to do! Buy the opus for £109 or buy a load of MJ memorabilia that I would love to own like the Dangerous 2LP and the Dangerous Pop-up set or Ghost boxset etc.
I have to decide before the offer expires. Helpp! What would you do??

Well, The Opus Book has a limit date for that price...
and maybe you could get the memorabilia later after you save money for that again

You can get the opus for £90 its an offer the times are doing not sure if you have seen that or not x

I suggest you get the Opus. :yes: You'll treasure it for life! It's an awesome collectiblen and you can get all the other stuff later. Just my opinion though.

The publishers of The Official Michael Jackson Opus, an enormous multi-platform biography dedicated to the King of Pop, appeared yesterday on the Today show to showcase the project’s large scope and the groundbreaking technology that helped Kraken Opus secure Michael’s approval in the weeks before he died. The book was also sanctioned and approved by Jackson’s estate following his death. Kraken Opus previously published Prince’s 21 Nights book. The Official Michael Jackson Opus will be released on December 7th.

Look back at photos of Michael Jackson’s life and career.

The book itself is massive, weighing in at 26.5 pounds with 400 pages measuring 18″ by 13″. The Opus features unseen photographs and essays about the King of Pop written by those who knew him best, plus a leather-bound “clam-shell” case. But the biggest draw, which Al Roker discovered in the video above, is something called “augmented reality,” or “Opus Reality” as the company calls it. By heaving some photos in this 26.5 pound book in front of your computer, via Webcam, the pages will come alive, with both video and music appearing on your screen while you hold the book up to it. “It’s never been done before, it’s unprecedented, and it’s something that Michael really bought into,” publisher Karl Fowler told The Today Show.

If you’re thinking about purchasing this behemoth, you might want to act fast: The Opus is available for pre-order now at £109/$165, but that price will jump to £218 starting September 30th. Also, there will only be a first edition of the book. According to the Opus Website, “Once the current print run has sold out, there will never be a 2nd edition. This will ensure that your Official Michael Jackson Opus retains its long term value.” The book also comes with a pair of white gloves that, while seeming like it’s a tribute to Jackson’s sequined gloves, should actually “be worn whilst viewing your copy to help maintain its mint condition.”

I kind of like the idea of the not reprinting another edition so it keeps it value.

I'm having the same problem:( Opus=$165, but with less than that I can go sky diving...and I can't afford both.

Shipping/delivery info for Russian fans:
I just got to know according to DHL and Russian customs that in order to receive the book in Russia, you should pay for shipping/delivery extra ~$40.. as the Opus most likely will be sent as a parcel with indicated cost $165 (as it is). The parcels with indicated costs upper than 5000 Rubles (~$165) is extra-charged within Russia.. It'd be easier if they could send it as documents without cost indicating but I don't think they will do it.. so it'll be $165 + $28 + $40 = too expensive.. :(

At least in my country when you import books, you don't have to pay extra duty... check this for your country ;)

Thank you so much for letting us know. I ordered it a couple of days ago after reading your message. I simply called them, they were very quick. The lady told me they take the money in December about a week before despatch. The book should arrive about mid December so money going out of my account early December.

Went past the OPUS store in convent garden today, the book is HUGGGGGEEE!!!! They also had a huge Dangerous Album cover signed. Really want it lol. :)

Get the OPUS guys. You'll never have the oppurtunity to get this again since it will not be reprinted and will not be at this price value ever again. You're gonna regret it around the holiday's if you don't purchase now, and see the threads about how much everyone else is in love with the book.

uh oh, what's going on?? Ticketmaster is telling me no tickets are available online at this time....WHAAAAAAAAAT? Anybody else having the same problem while pre-ordering??? I live here in the U.S., can I pre-order it at a ticketmaster store instead? HELP!!! :(

I can't tell how long ago you posted this since the time stamp on here is weird (and I don't see how to adjust it for my time zone,) but I just ordered it a few minutes ago through Ticketmaster and didn't have any problem.

Try it again maybe? We tried ordering last night and it kept timing out and giving us an error page, so they may be having some problems.
