Michael Jackson, A Tribute to the King of Pop, 1958 - 2009: Platinum Edition Collector's Vault. It's by Whitman Publishing.

It also has a copy of H. RES. 600, which is a House Resolution to Congress asking for the honoring of MJ as an American legend and musical icon.

The book also has a bunch of pull-out cards with trivia and stuff of interest on them, like all of Michael's awards.

I saw that one in walmart - someone took all the stuff outta the pockets though. I don't think it will even compare to the quality and content of the Opus but it did look ok if it had the stuff in it lol.

If we're gonna pay $193 per Opus book than I sure as heck hope it is of a higher quality. :D But I love this one for all the additional stuff, and for the price too.

Maybe someone who can't afford the Opus book can get this one instead.

no hard feelings but they are not being serious about selling a book containing a printed copy of his will?

Lol, I'm still holding out hope that they lower the cost at the last minute like they did for the people from the UK. :D

Seriously, I want to order two, one for my 12 yr. old baby niece (whom is a MJ fanatic; she's still waiting to purchase MJ back-to-school supplies, but can't find any as of yet, hope the estate approves this), and I want to order one for myself.

Alas, if they don't lower the price by the deadline date of September 30th, I'll just purchase ONE for the both of us to share. :) And as an added bonus I'll purchase that $30 one as well at Walmart that others on this thread are talking about. Thanks!

The book at Walmart sounds amazing. I just read a review on Amazon. I'm going to head over to Walmart and see if they have that this week. =x I don't like the idea of the final will being in there but I'll try to avoid it.

My money hasn't been taken out but my friends has..so i hope mine has gone through fine.The lady did say that they would ring if there were any problems with the order going through.So i'm thinking they won't take my money out yet.

They don't take payment untill the book is ready for despatch? So you shouldn't be charged until early December? Atleast thats what I thought the lady said??

No u just ring them up and say i would like to order the michael jackson opus book,i did say do i need to quote 'MJ Opus' and The Times and she said no,i just check it was £90 though,good luck x

Ordered mine! Cant wait mainly because its very rare to come across a good variety of Michael Jackson books in Australia...I could only find two new ones recently which werent of great content either :(

You won't have any trouble avoiding it because it is folded into thirds and placed in a pocket. You don't HAVE to look at it if you don't want to. I haven't looked at it yet, except to see what it was.

It's the Death Certificate that really got to me. :( That is almost at the very ending, and it's out in the open so you can't avoid it.

I LOVE the old concert tickets though, the Neverland postcards, the family tree, the Smooth Criminal patent application for the leaning device... those types of things, and of course the many pics I had never seen before.

That's it! It is a hard cover, plus comes in a box which looks just like the book, but the book slides out.

I can't believe it was only $30! How much is L27? I am still ordering the Opus book though because it is so large and will have stuff in it I'm sure this other one doesn't have. It will be a collector's item as well no doubt.

The Opus will be an amazing collector's item going by what I've been told and the Chapter I was read. The content of the Opus won't be trashy and honors Michael's Legacy. It was described as being made as a scrapbook of Michael's life for his children. That just kinda says it all as far as worth. Definitely will be worth it :yes:

(I think the other book needs it's own thread though lol - kinda wish I saw what was in the pockets but glad I didn't at the same time:unsure: )

I thought this is a tribute book, it should be proffesional. But I guess, some fans just submit whatever eventhough it's very lame!

I really want to submit some drawings and paintings. I think the deadline is september 30th. So I will submit them by then, yeah I saw some of the submission and some were....well, they tried lol. But Opus said they would pic the best of the best to put in the book. I would be speechless if they chose one of my drawings...to be forever apart of this amazing book...

words would fail me.

oh man I didn't you could submit WORK for the opus book? Sept 30 thats not enough time for me to draw or paint anything and then it probably wouldn't look that good. Ah well. Maybe I will in up in the TII mosaic. *crosses fingers* lol

I want to opus book so bad and want to pre order so I don't have to pay full price but im broke. but im wondering if they are really gonna charge that price or are they just doing that to get buttloads of pre SALES. Its call marketing. lol TV commericals do it all the time. "call in by sept 30 and get the opus for half the price" yet they keep airing the same commercial after the 30th. lol

Hi I live in Ny I paid almost $39.00 with tax and shipping from www.amazon.com for the vault book. I want to get the Opus book havent preordered yet.

I ordered today after seeing the clip from the Today Show - and having waited I got it at the lesser price from the Times.
