According to HITS Daily MJ could sold 140-160 k and will be in top 5.
Taylor and Boyle sold much more....

But didn't MJ sell more than Boyle and Taylor this week in; the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Finland, Denmark,..........etc............etc.....?

You need to look at the positives a bit more pedros - especially as you are supposed to be an MJ fan - but instead you always seem to post the negatives, which seems a little strange.

Don't agree - I didn't say that MJ sold poor this week. I was hoping for more but it doesn't mean that I'm not happy with worldwide MJ numbers.

I guess there are no US charts this week. So my only guess is that this weeks sales are added onto next week? I can't see an entire week being missed out. Based on that, MICHAEL's estimated sales were 140-160K (#3 again) taking his total US sales for the first two weeks to 370-380K

I thought we would have the soundscan figures with Billboard chart tomorrow at least...

Russian chart is on vacation until next year. probably Billboard is on vacation as well?

weekly french charts: N°10 not good at all!!

Not surprising at all.

France, as usual, is the country which has had the most 'activity' when it comes to boycotting/demonstrating against something. Nothing new or surprising to me.

You perhaps should look at the 'bigger picture'.

No charts!!??

Is the US a 'Third World Country'??

What a joke!

The "Michael" campaign in the US has been "third-world" rate, IMO. No posters up in Target or Walmart, etc. etc. No air play....

I don't understand the little airplay and little promotion. I haven't heard HMH on the radio. I have seen the video on tv. I don't dislike Rihanna for example but I am getting tired of hearing and seeing her songs on the radio and tv every 20 minutes. I understand they are here to promote their work but still it can too much. Maybe Sony and the estate are just relying on Michael's name and reputation as enough promotion. I don't know.

And yet, considering all of this and the fact it's not an Xmas album, it still goes top 3?

Just goes to show the music must be selling the album on its own.

I just saw a commercial for the album :)

So... last week MJ's album sold 228,000 (#3) and this week it sold 150,000 (#5) taking his total US sales to 378,000. I doubt it will hit platinum at this rate unless they release a 2nd single that gains some momentum.

No such thing. Billboard's charts are ALWAYS published every single week. We will get the data today

next week it will be at 500 K

Yes we serioulsy need a second Single

To me it feels like nobody cares. I am not talking about us fans. We care. It's whoever is in charge of promoting this. It feels like not much thought was put in. Or maybe how we thought this would be promoted was just different then what they wanted to do anyways.

How far apart does the first single and 2nd single have to be released??? Thats what I'm not getting. Are they coming out with the 2nd single for the new years? or maybe Next week in January??? They really need to do it soon cuz ppl. are more into upbeat songs nowadays!

Is it me or are ppl. who are supposed to "Promote" this Project arent really doing a damn thing? In the past week, I've seen only 2 Commercials for the album... and that was only on BET and MTV, No other channels... Not all ppl. watch MTV and BET! They need to step it up now...there's no joking around with this!

Monster? Hollywood Tonight? Another day?...

Perhaps Sony are thinking; "If the fans don't care enough, and others are actively trying to convince the general public not to buy the album, why should we bother wasting money trying to promote it?"?

Just a thought.

Then I don't lnow why they made a deal with the estate if they would feel like that. You can't please all the fans and you have to try to reach out to everyone.

sony know they will make more money from the re issues etc. so why waste money promoting the album when its gonna be a small % of their income. thats probably their logic behind it. mjs name on its own will sell enough copies to make a profit without spending money on large amounts of promo other than the basics which tbh is all u can do anyway when mj aint here

If they had done it in a more proper fashion it could be selling a ton more IMO. I feel they did an awful, lackluster job for this whole project, it could have been something much much more, in every sense, they failed to do so.

Should have had...

-Massive Promotion

-No Cascio tracks, which would result in no controversy, no boycotting and full support/unity from fans. (Odd how three full tracks leaked during this album time span)

-Put on songs that were actually fully completed Michael Jacksons songs, with HIS musical vision, not the musical vision of other people.

I understand not doing videos or tours etc but everyone mostly keep saying how there is little radio play. They should use that at least. I have heard songs by other people so many times throughout the day it's become annoying of being too much.

Yes, I feel they could have made much more money if they had promoted it better. We fans can't be the only ones to buy copies! I bought three, but none of my non-MJ friends know anything about it, other than from me. They haven't heard it on the radio or seen TV ads, etc. I just really wanted this to knock people's socks off, and for people to recognize Michael's genius again. THat's why I'm down about the promotion and chart position. I guess I need to get over it and treasure "Best of Joy," "Much Too Soon," etc.

I completely agree with you...This album could have been HUGE, had they done it the right way....It's damn sad...
