:clapping:agreeBut didn't MJ sell more than Boyle and Taylor this week in; the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Finland, Denmark,..........etc............etc.....?
You need to look at the positives a bit more pedros - especially as you are supposed to be an MJ fan - but instead you always seem to post the negatives, which seems a little strange.

I guess there are no US charts this week. So my only guess is that this weeks sales are added onto next week? I can't see an entire week being missed out. Based on that, MICHAEL's estimated sales were 140-160K (#3 again) taking his total US sales for the first two weeks to 370-380K

The "Michael" campaign in the US has been "third-world" rate, IMO. No posters up in Target or Walmart, etc. etc. No air play....

Russian chart is on vacation until next year. probably Billboard is on vacation as well?
I just saw a commercial for the album
So... last week MJ's album sold 228,000 (#3) and this week it sold 150,000 (#5) taking his total US sales to 378,000. I doubt it will hit platinum at this rate unless they release a 2nd single that gains some momentum.
Perhaps Sony are thinking; "If the fans don't care enough, and others are actively trying to convince the general public not to buy the album, why should we bother wasting money trying to promote it?"?
Just a thought.
sony know they will make more money from the re issues etc. so why waste money promoting the album when its gonna be a small % of their income. thats probably their logic behind it. mjs name on its own will sell enough copies to make a profit without spending money on large amounts of promo other than the basics which tbh is all u can do anyway when mj aint here
yeah they fecked up over alot of issues.it could have been very differentIf they had done it in a more proper fashion it could be selling a ton more IMO. I feel they did an awful, lackluster job for this whole project, it could have been something much much more, in every sense, they failed to do so.
Should have had...
-Massive Promotion
-No Cascio tracks, which would result in no controversy, no boycotting and full support/unity from fans. (Odd how three full tracks leaked during this album time span)
-Put on songs that were actually fully completed Michael Jacksons songs, with HIS musical vision, not the musical vision of other people.
