I heard Akon on the radio (Power 106) here in L.A. this morning. He was interviewed on the red carpet at the VMA's and said that his album would be coming out in November. So we shall see what happens with a HMH release. If its the lead single off the album, it should be out within the month, I'd imagine...
 
Hmm, so he pushed it back again, huh? :lol: Gosh, I just want to be out around the world already! :lol: But it's okay I guess.. not everyone has heard the song yet.

Then "Hold My Hand" need to be out by the end of this month then.
 
Honestly i dont think i can hold on much longer. By the time the song does come out everyone would have already heard it.

well duh. since there is no single or any info yet, obviously the album was pushed back. :/
 
hmm i dont get why people are doubting this song being on both albums. it wouldnt be the first time.

akons manager said it, AKON said it, and the songwriter said it.... yet to some of u that is evidence that it WONT be on both? even when the albums come out, and say for example it IS on both, i bet some of you will be gas baggin about how its impossible, lol.

also, just coz MJ's album is further away than akons doesnt mean it cant be on both. like i already said, neyo's lead single came out 6 months in advance of his album (which still isnt out yet) due on Sept 16

I'd just prefer it 1. to be exclusively on Michael's new album or 2. exclusively on Akon's new album and Michael's new album pumped with all-new material. I don't see the use putting it on Michael's new album when it has already been released twice (single/Akon's album). Yeah, maybe for commercial reasons...

but

we are the forum goers. they are the biggest artists in music. im sure whatever motivation they have for what theyre planning, its for a good reason. lol would you trust a forum goer to remove ur tooth? no, u trust the dentist. so trust michael and akon with the music decisions:)

Yeah, Mike has shown us, sooo many times that he knows what he does! If he believes this to be a good plan, I'm not going to doubt him. He knows the best!

Michael is the expert and Im sure they discussed and came up
with the BEST way to promote this song and their Albums ..
Both are Pros at this :)
 
The only reason I don't want it to be on Michaels album is that I don't think it's a strong enough song with weak production.

You have a point there, dude. some people explain it better than others. and you are right...the songwriter can have some pull. or more..and should not be underestimated. i stand corrected.

Yes but Ne-Yo's song wasn't on someone elses album like last year. And evan if all these people say it now will be on the album, if Michaels album is 12 months away alot will and can happen on the way though.
 
there must be a different version for MJ's album where MJ is singing most of it. Because I don't see him putting a song on his album where he's just a featured artist.

that is also true. hanging onto something is never a good idea. and nobody should be blamed if something doesn't happen as expected.
 
maybe ........ Michael's version will be with "Wihtney Huston" and / or Akon !!!!!

Obviously we don't know anything about Michael's album and Akon keeps changing dates, you'd think Akon was doing this intentionally so it could be on both albums albeit DIFFERENT versions. If anything, the song is an unfinished duet and if it is finished, it's an Akon song with an MJ featured vocal.
 
That's what I keep saying Timmy. If it's slated to be on Michael's album, it has to be re-done as a real duet or with a lead vocal from Michael, featuring Akon.

Yeah, exactly. I don't know why that's hard to understand. It seemed like some people would just be happy to see it be on the album regardless without realizing "oh wait a minute MJ only got a few bars here..." :lol:
 
Michael sings throughout most of the song. Solo at first, then Akon, Michael, Akon, together, then together later. The chorus is both MJ and Akon.
 
Havnet been In this thread in awhile can someone update me on the situation with this track?
I really hope this track will be released its a great tune and very catchy.
