NEW SONG - Akon feat. Michael Jackson "Hold my hand" [updates in post #1]

:cheers: to all of you! I'm loving this too. I was reading the reviews, and I wanted to clarify that it was not a fan site, and that they were all the comments posted and not just selected for being positive, but I think that's already been confirmed. That is so wonderful and makes me so happy! I knew it would happen anyway because some of the people who used to give me a hard time would still give him props for his musical abilities. No one can really deny it! Please let them hurry and release this song so it can reach its full potential!! PLEASE! :clapping:
 
Just played the song for a casual MJ fan and the first thing he said was "Wow, this is going to be huge. What a song"

Really, this song is fantastic. I really really hope Akon, MJ, and their companies get on track and release this. It's going to be a smash.

When are the MTV music awards?

After all Michael's been through, he's still reaching out to people, and he's still singing songs like this one and is still the loving Michael we've all known over the years.

Hold My Hand gets radio airplay
Even though it hasn't yet officially released, several MJJCommunity's members have reported local radio stations started airing 'Hold My Hand' whicha has been aired in US, Germany, Guatemala and Italy.


HMH listed on Mediabase US chart

Songwriter of Hold My Hand speaks! HMH to be featured on both Akon and Michael's albums!
Up-and-coming singer/songwriter Claude Kelly wrote the recently leaked Akon song "Hold My Hand" featuring Michael Jackson, but he confesses hearing the legendary singer's voice on the track the first time was a total surprise to him.

"I wrote the song and gave it to Akon with the intention of it going to maybe Whitney Houston, but Akon said he wanted to cut it himself. I thought, 'It doesn't get any bigger than this'," the 27-year-old New York native tells Billboard.com. "A few months after, Akon plays the song for me and all of a sudden I hear Michael Jackson's voice. I was literally shaking by the time the song was over."

great to hear that it's being played in Toronto too! Flow 93.5FM were great supporters of butterflies back in 2001...especially the Eve remix

I am thinking the same thing. If I recall, Akon himself helped orchestrate the Tapemasters Inc. leak of the 1 minute and later the 3 minute versions of his own demo for the song earlier in the year. The same thing happened with WBSS '08, and entire mixtapes of Akon's have been put out by Tapemasters Inc. in the past. It also may not have been a coincidence that his original demos of this song were widely available on YouTube for months without any complaint until just two weeks before the MJ version leaked. The version that leaked with Akon and MJ could very well be yet another unfinalized version, and may have been intentionally put out there for about a day to generate hype, and did it ever!

I do not think that Akon (nor MJ) is upset about this, and I have yet to see even a single factual article or report which indicates otherwise, regardless of any totally unconfirmed rumors that may circulating. I consider the alleged TMZ report allegedly rehashed by E! to be categorically false, since TMZ has never once done such a segment nor even interviewed Akon since the song was leaked for it to be reported on by other networks in the first place--and after days of searching nobody has come up with a single piece of evidence to collaborate the story.

Yes I think this is very true and I love this song :O I noticed the whole leak thing, I think its being done alot lately :)

4 Day after Leak and i cant get enough from this Song. When i feel a bit bad i listen the Song and the Sun will shine agian. I wish that Akon release the Song fast. I think the Song will go on #1 i dont think i bet :cheeky::clapping:

Why would we assist in spreading a song to radio that is clearly NOT wanted on radio yet. THIS is how fans kill releases. Get it on radio, yay for 3 mins, but boo because we will screw up the chances of it being a single. Artists get PAID per rotation and when people hear it they wanna go on itunes and BUY the song... THEY CAN NOT DO THIS BECAUSE ITS AN ILLEGAL RELEASE! SO DO NOT PROMOTE THE SONG

To me, that would be common sense:)

well, i'm sorry. i didn't know. i just saw the media base report and fans saying they heard it on the radio already. i didn't have much more info. it is certainly not my intention to kill the song. by the way, did i see a youtube link back up again?

No offense intended:) No need to appologise to me haha, im just a fan like you. Just wanted to capital and bold the text so others wouldnt miss it. Once this song hits itunes and is allowed to be played on radio.. GO FOR IT!:) I know will request and promote like mad once (IF) it becomes a legal tune.
 
I really hope its released as a single...I find it weird how Akon or Michael haven't commented or even acknowledged this leak whatsoever yet and its been almost 5 days since it was leaked. I honestly believe this song will be a big hit and is exactly what Michael needs at this time.

:yes: It seems to me if the song isn't finish and that they're mad that a rough draft of the song got out, then it wouldn't be right to promote it. If they did it that way, then that's all good.

I am really digging this song. I love the music in the beginning, its gives you some insight on what feeling the singer and/or composer or writer wants the listener to have. it's very beautiful and delicate.

Ok I Wasnt So Excited With This Song It Isnt Something Special Actually But Itsnt Bad Too..i M Sure The Song Could Be Beter With More Michael In It...and Much More Beter Only With Michael..so To Be Honest I Dont Wanted It To Be In Michaels New Album In The Way It Is Now..michael Needs Really Powerfull Songs To To Make A Comeback He Needs Songs So Good That None Can Ignore..
