Think about it people ... the video was leaked by someone then, when it was taken off youtube is said a third party was the reason ... now it says SONY/ATV is the party Akon's people did not force Youtube to take the videos down. Sony or being that it says SONY/ATV ... it could be Mike that wanted it off the internet :blush:

I don't think is was needed to hype interest. A press release announcing the song would have worked wonders as well. Not that I am complaining now, since I play the song over and over again
on my mp3 player.:cheeky:

That sounds about right...I can see Mike being the one no being happy with the leak.

They removed my video too. First I got this "Copyright warning" saying some UHG or whatever has claimed the video infringes copyright somehow...So they muted the audio and left the video (which WAS my own original video....I had the copyright to what my puppet was doing since that was all me, doing it, the idea was mine, and so on...). And....then comes Sony/ATV and boom...the whole video(that didn't even have the audio anymore and that way was MY very OWN video that had nothing to do with Sony) is removed. :(

OMG I really hope they make a BIG THING out of it! Even if Mike's the one who's not happy about the leak they should put this out as a single right away!! This will be #1 EVERYWHERE!!!

Nah, I don't think that will happen. Just this song. Maybe they think this is a smart move? Let the public hear it for a little while, then release the song with a video to go with it. No harm done, really.

they have to release it soon though. This song is called out to be a nice summer hit =)

this is a great video! great concept...
sg "strange" the song HMH just emphasizes the visuals of ITC ....dont know why...but draws ur attention to those "tiny" movements :doh::wild::clapping:not a good video to watch seven am in the morning just before going to work :tease::cheeky::wub:

'Hold My Hand' :wild: It's fantastic I can't stop playing it, Akon and Michaels vocals are amazing, the lyrics and tune just grab you and won't let go :wub:. I'm just praying that it will be released as a single but I'll be happy to buy the Album if it's not.

The song builds and people all around the world just stop their arguing, fighting and fussing.... a :angel: glow comes over their eyes :wild: as they c da LIGHT! As the choir (gospel, of course), sangs HOLD MY HANNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDD.....

'Hold Me Down', the new song by rapper Akon and Michael Jackson, is 2008's summer in the making and proof that “the king of pop” is back.

Those are the thoughts of just a few music fans who have contacted Gigwise since the track emerged online yesterday (June 30th).

'Hold My Hand' is understood to be the product of the pair's recent studio collaboration, which is expected to lead to the release of Jackson's new studio album.

Speaking to Gigwise, Boggie, described the song as “beautiful” and said it “brings much comfort”.

“The lyrics reach out to the basic need that is so absent in todays botch job of a society. Michael shows his sincere dedication to making the world a better place.

“That is what a true King is supposed to do. The King of Pop is always in the hearts of those who understand what life, humanity and music are about. Michael brings out the best in anyone he works with, Akon sounds so smooth.”

Ertan was also impressed by the track and how “Michael brings Akon to another level”.

“This song simply ROCKS!!! It's so smooth, so beautiful,” added.

A number of fans who contacted Gigwise also agreed that 'Hold My Hand' proved that Jackson had “the best voice ever”.
