[h=1]David Gest and Tito plan tour tribute to Michael Jackson[/h]David Gest, Tito Jackson, Rebbie Jackson are to pay tribute to Michael Jackson with a live tour honoring the pop icon's life.
The TV star and producer will be joined by the late singer's two siblings and Gary, Indiana-born singer Deniece Williams - whose hits include 'Let's Hear It For The Boy', 'Free' and 'Too Much Too Little Too Late' - for a series of spoken word and music shows which will reveal never-before-told details about him and his phenomenal career.
Williams grew up near the Jackson family home and has been friends with the family for nearly five decades.
David came up with the idea for the tour after completing his documentary 'Michael Jackson: The Life of an Icon' - which focuses on the 'Thriller' star's life from his beginnings with the Jackson 5 through to his tragic death in June 2009 and contains interviews with over 50 of his closest friends and family including his mother Katherine, Motown legend Smokey Robinson and Whitney Houston too name a few.

"It's really dynamite footage that gives an insight into his life away from the spotlight and features unique anecdotes and memories of Michael that have never before been told."
The tour will run across the whole of the UK and is due to start either at the end of this year or in March 2012 and will be directed by Andrew Eastel, who also directed 'Michael Jackson: The Life of an Icon'.

DG did a mini-tour in Autumn -winter 09 that was supposed to be very positive about MJ, but some of the dates were cancelled...the big one at the London Apollo went ahead, but tickets seemed to sell out quickly ? (at any rate, I missed it ..). Since the video has been finished, the new tour sounds like it will have a similar format but a total MJ (rather than DG with a few MJ reminiscences ) focus.

PS I see they have added a TII guitarist to the 'nameless tribute' lineup... (facebook recent post)

^^Do we have a photo of the guitarist. How could he do this? Well I guess the bills have to be paid.
Yes, anything that TMEZ endorses I will definitely take a look at, because he honors Michael.

The Gest video will definitely be what I will buy for friends for Christmas gifts.

while I am not a big Gest fan....this one IS probably the lessor of two evils. I wont be buying the dvd though. Just my opinion.

This doucmentary is coming out on Oct 31 on dvd? Is this going to be a problem with the estate? I get confused. This thing with Tito doesn't sound bad to me. I amm not sure about this either but didn't David Gest blame Michael for his plastic surgery of i am thinking of somebody else?

Oh that guy!!! After he said all those glowing things about Michael and what a great artist Michael was, and now he goes to this sloppy concert that cannot use his name!!!! Sometimes, I do not understand humans.

Gest irritates me also, but I think that his documentary and concert will be more appropriate. I know someone blamed Michael and said he made them do plastic surgery, but I am not sure who the guy was.

I didn't bring it up to stir trouble or anything. It was just seeing his name it just popped in my head. Is this allowed to be on dvd for sale?

That was Gest, but to be fare, the part of "blaming" Michael was the usual media twist.

^^Oh I see about the media twist. You know everyone who had dealings with Michael, there is something about them that irritate me, so right now I simply look at the level of irritation to see who I will listen to. It is like looking at the best of the bad, or the best of the worst.

After the tribute debacle, we will only promote or recommend to our members, Estate-approved products.

I'm sorry, but another tribute? it seems to me like everybody is out to make a buck all at Michael's expense. Everybody seems to want to do their own thing without the participation of the Estate all becuase they want all that money for themselves! who cares about Prince, Paris, and Blanket? right?

Tribute to Michael my behind!

No MORE Tributes, instead show some repsect and redeem his memory and name, fight his enemies, create a World Michael Jackson Day of Arts and Humanity, name main streets with his name those are the things we want to see happen !

I really don’t understand it.
The Murray trial will be finished neither in the end of this year nor in March, 2012.

In the article Tito is cited: “„To see the four of us on stage….”
4 siblings Michael's will be involved in the tour. For the tour must be rehearsed at least 4 to 6 weeks.
I ask myself, WHEN these 4 brothers and sisters have time to be a in the court.

I see in the planning of this tour the same disregard against Michael like with the concert in Cardiff.

And about an involvement of Michael's Estate nothing is still known.

If the trial is not delayed again, it will be over around November, I think.

I’m not so sure about that, JMie. 3 months could be too scarcely calculated.
I know nothing about trial guidance in USA. But certainly there is also in USA absolutely no list which is just processed and then is ready.
Complications can arise already only from the talks of the experts …. somebody can fall in ill....
It is a clue trial with very unclear state of affairs

Now, even if middle or at the end of November the judge will spoken:
If the tour should begin in December, means this that from Mitter October the rehearsals run.
And there just still the trial runs.

After seeing this is it tommy organ become my new fave male guitarist and i thought he was awesome . I do belive he loves & respects michael but i get the feeling david gest made out as if this tribute "is the best tribute ever" and thats why tommy agreed to do it

in other news The Mj Estate will make 6-7 billion during their 15 year deal with Cirque du soliel who make 850 million annual from their prodcution shows which the estate will split profits 50/50 from the immortal word tour which will benefit Michael's kids, grandkids, great grandkids, greatgreat grandkids and the charities he supported

I saw this on the Tribute's Facebook page this morning:

Apparently Pixie Lott was on a show called Daybreak and was asked by someone named Lorraine, "what song is she going to sing at the Tribute."

Apparently Pixie Lott PAUSED and said "I don't have a clue, they have not said what songs we can do at the Tribute."

Yeah thats a uk morning news shows. like GMA the presenter lorraine is a bitch who hates mj.i didnt see it so cant say if the info is legit.but lewis said she didnt know what she was singing either a couple of weeks back

Ivy posted that if the trial is delayed, it will not commence for at least another 3 months, until the appeals court makes their decision. So we are at the end of the year the beginning of next year for it to even start. :(

This is a news story about Cirque de Soleil Michael Immortal World Tour :

"Cirque du Soleil sold 200,000 tickets within 24 hours of putting them on sale."

anyone can see that even though this tribute might go forward, it's definitely not a "success". Cirque - which is not one time only but gonna run 15 years, Cirque which doesn't have any "stars" yet alone galaxy of them, Cirque which doesn't promise any Jacksons or MJ's kids could have filled that stadium 3 times within 24 hours.

Global Live - as a business - should evaluate this and realize the reality. The tribute might go on, it might even be profitable money wise but it's clearly not a success and not a representative for what could be done in MJ's name.
