Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I'm sorry but I hate it when people say things like this...IF Michael was born into another family?? What sense does that make?? Yeah, let's go back to the past and insert Michael into another family...His future would be quite different and we probably wouldn't even be here right now.
I don't hate your opinion, but I disagree with it.

Love & nurturing is important during childhood, Michael always complaint about the lack of love he felt from his father. He was afraid of his father, he said it so. He had so many talents -I don't think they all were inherited- he was blessed artistically and spiritually. If singers without that much talent had made it, of course- I think- Michael would had made it. That's my opinion, there is no need to be abrassive if we don't agree. When I hear or see sad things about Michael what comes in my head is a little boy who is being beaten for missing a dancing step. Anyway, let's move on. No hard feelings, please.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Aquarius loved your post^^. It makes sense. Just because Michael was a part of the Jackson family it does not mean that if he was from another family he would not have the same success. If that was the case we would have doctors from one family only, musicians from one family only, fools from one family only and on and on.

Michael Forever Tribute on UK TV....

Hey there.

Just popped in for my lunchtime MJJC fix and thought I would share this with you.

Not sure if anybody is interested... I too fully supported the actions against this tribute show. Just thought that as it was some reasonably talented people singing tribute to Michael, some people might be interested... at least now its free to watch.

Anyways, I will be tuning in so thought some of you guys might be interested too!

Not sure if I posted this in the right place, sorry if I didn't... please feel free to move this if not x x x

Michael Forever... The tribute concert:

Part 1: Saturday 22nd October, Sky arts 1 and Sky arts HD UK.... 4-6pm

Part 2: Sunday 23rd October, Sky arts 1 and Sky arts HD UK.... 4-6pm.

Smile x x x

Re: Michael Forever Tribute on UK TV....

woop-de-doo. I'll watch it, just to see how awful it actually was. But when I get to the bit of Blanket crying.. God help me.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Will anybody here record this and upload it?

Cool. However I didn't mean MJ simply inherited his talents genetically. I believe that part of what makes a person a particular person set aside from all others are one's own experiences and environment. I mean yeah, MJ could have been a successful musician but he wouldn't be the Michael Jackson we know today. His experiences both good and bad shaped him, wether you want to ignore or accept that is your decision. I mean had MJ not been affected by the brutal discipline of his father growing up and/or backstabbing and betrayal from close family and friends, would MJ really be as sensitive and caring and committed to helping those who have been in his position, namely children who have had their childhood robbed by stardom, disease and poverty? He's been there and thats what gives him that extra umph other successful musicians lack , MJ really cared about those around him, know why? Because he's been there, he's felt the same hurt, pain and longing.

I mean many musicians have caught onto helping out with charities, mainly for publicity and sometimes out of compassion, but I have never seen anyone have the intensity, passion and perseverance to fight for the healing and happiness of children all over the world as much as Michael. Michael lived to help others in need even if it ended up costing him a bit more than necessary at times.

No One Performs like Michael. No One with as much power and influence cared as much as Michael.

Someone who grew up in the perfect environment would have no idea what its like to grow up in an abnormal and painful environment. They could have compassion and be aware but to know, I'm afraid not.

Now would I have wanted MJ to grow up in a peaceful and blissful environment? Yeah , who wouldn't?? But I'd also have to accept that there would not exist the Michael Jackson I grew to connect with and admire.

Lets not forget, The Jacksons are a predominantly Show Business/Musically inclined Family, that's all they do. The stage is their home, however MJ spoiled us all by doing it the best which is probably a major reason as to why their gigs/shows/performances will never live up to the standards Michael set and many will always find a way to criticize it and well isn't that just life.

As mediocre as it appeared, I thought it was a nice way of distracting the children from the somberness of the trial, thats how I saw it. That's all.

Edit: Maybe I went too deep into this and veered off course but those are my sentiments on the situation and to that type of comment in particular. No hard feelings here either.:flowers:

Ultimately it was the mainly negative experiences over his last 15 to 20 years that turned him into a shadow if his former self professionally and personally, reducing his career output to nothing meaningful, stifling his creativity and pushing him down the path to destruction.

I agree with you that the deliberate attacks and the negative experiences in the past two decades had sidetracked his unparallely brilliant career.

Personally, despite all the nightmares, I tend to think Michael had the best of joy in his life after becoming a father to Prince, Paris and Blanket. The children filled up the void in his heart - a void that no fan, no record, no award can fill.

Michael had so much he wanted to do. He was always thinking of new things. It's just that people and things kept getting in his way. I wish he would have been left alone.

that's for sure he was the happiest being a father to those precious kids of his. Having children and becoming a father was extremely important to him when he was in his 30s, so I'm glad he had the chance to experience this and fulfill his greatest wish/desire. When Michael died he was taken away from what was most important to him, his children, those children were his life, it was for their sake that he fought each and every battle, it was the love to them that made him so strong. Michael kept going for the sake of his children. Those children helped him survive the trial and all the pain it brought. As for Michael being a shadow of his former self in his later years smdh, I've never ever seen Michael as a tragic figure or as a shadow of his own self. Michael was always inspirational cuz he fought his battles, he kept on going on, no matter what he fought back, although people were knocking him down he kept getting back up. He was like a little Russian doll always standing back up. Michael sold out TII within mere hours WITHOUT any album, or any other kind of media promotion. He did it all by himself, by just appearing. He didn't die as some tragic figure as people make it seem. I'm glad that he was at least able to experience the love he got, he died knowing he was still in demand and loved by us fans, at least by me. He was truly loved.
People in general tend to underestimate Michael's strength, he was an extremely strong man. He went through hell and still managed to come out of it, althoug he was scarred he never showed it. That alone requires a lot of strength.

Thank you! His kids were his life and he took all the crap people threw at him and he kept going. He was a lot stronger than he gets credit for. I hope he did know how much he was loved.

One thing that makes me sad is that everytime it seemed that things were going his way something or someone would get in the way. He never stopped creating or working. I don't know why that had to happen but he always had things he wanted to do.

EXCELLENT ^^ that comment about "reducing his career output to nothing meaningful" that I saw in a post above I really do not believe I read it. How could someone say another person's output was nothing meaningful!!!! Anything Michael did, he created from deep within himself, from love, utilized his talents, and did the best he could, so it is meaningful to him!!! We may not like it, but it is still meaningful.

PS: so I see 3T are not the only ones who went on a minute vacation, the brothers went as well. I hope they did not spend all the money they earned from the tribute in Amsterdam and are now back to serious business supporting their brother.

Great post TwinklEE,very insightful.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I'm in conflict here. Sometimes I think that there's something wrong with the Jakcson family and other times I think there's nothing wrong with them, they deserve each other. What i believe is wrong is that Michael was born into the wrong family. If he would had been raised by a caring family, a family with moral grounds and caring for others, he probably would had stayed closed to them, he would be alive-taking care of his own children- and he would had been greater, if that could be possible.

The same with his children, they're been raised by the wrong family. It's strange how they behave and express themselves. They say people wanted to kill him for his money/catalogue and what are they doing? they taking advantage of what those "killers" did to get at the same end, money.

There'll always be people who will pay to see them in anything related to Michael but in the end, we all have to pay for what we do.

If MJ was born into perfection..... totally different person. Could have been a selfish prick, still sucking his silver spoon. Quite happy and satisfied with the MJ born to Joseph and Katherine Jackson.

Max, I never said anything about Michael being born into perfection. However, I don't believe that a person has to go thru so much hardship to be a good nartured person. There are many people who were born with a silver spoon and are very helpful to society. I still feel for Michael and I felt it most when I heard the tape Murray recorded. He was talking, among other things, about his childhood. And that's not tabloid, he always complained about it. If I disturbed anyone with my feelings, I'm sorry, really; I'm very sorry I started this.

But let's forget about that and remember that even if we see things from different perspectives, we all are here for Michael. I respect him and admire him as a person and as an artist.

Actually what you say in your post is what was being discussed on dr drew's show on hln (?US tv channel) a couple of days ago. I caught the transcripts on another forum, he was interviewing gotham chopra. Gotham was saying that mj told him that the pain he had from his childhood was in part why he was able to achieve such great things as it pushed him further in his goals. I tend to give gotham the sideeye in some of the stuff he comes out with (i think he claimed he wrote some lyrics to mj songs) but this may be a true recollection of something mj said - he did always try to turn a negative into a positive. Alot of the greats in all walks of life seem to have tough upbringings, so maybe there's something in that. However, i agree it's not much of a justification for physical/emotional abuse of children.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I also have to admit, I hate when people (especially fans) paint him as a tragic figure. Yes what he went thru on Earth was very tragic and was character assassination in so many levels but thru it all, he was a very strong person. I also loved how he had God, his true friends, the fans, and of course his three gorgeous babies by his side.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Are Tito, Jackie, Marlon and anyone else going to the trial at all? I know they can't go everyday but they should take turns.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

A singer,I think she is from Ireland, told a story about how she met Michael in Oman and he was telling jokes.
Michael had sad moments in his life, but he had fun moments too even in his last years.
