MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Bitterly disappointed to see Smokey's words about Murray. Bitterly. It's blow after blow....

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I agree that some of his "friends" should educate themselves. I keep thinking of what Tom Messereau said that Michael reached out to his friends during the trial and people turned their backs on him. Probably because it would look bad to them to be associated with Michael. Let's be real how people were. Now he died and all these people come out saying that they loved him and were close etc.

Maybe instead of saying he just did what Michael wanted him to do he should question why a doctor would behave that way. They are suppose to take care of you and follow ethics and morals. Murray didn't and if Smokey has dealt with friends dying then he should be mad that a doctor would act so careless like this and took his friend away.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Very disappointed in Smokey Robinson. I guess he was too busy rehearsing for this "tribute" and not focusing on the trial because if he knew anything about it, he wouldn't say such things.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Paris did correct him. He introduced his father and she corrected him a few seconds later. At the end of the show when everyone came on stage is when he was smiling and having a good time.

Maybe he's learned how to put on his game face like his father had to do. You know, grin and bear it? Smile even though your heart is aching?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Perhaps or he was genuinely having a good time. No one knows for sure 100% what Blanket was feeling except for Blanket.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Is that seriously what Smokey said? :(

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I don't care what Smokey Robinson, any family member or any so-called friend thinks, Dr. Conrad Murray is the one thats responsible for Michael Jackson's death, period!

Actually, I'm just waiting on some to say what sympathy they have for Michael feeling as if he was in a position so badly to even think of needing such to go to sleep (if we take this as truth). I can't believe there aren't more out there saying how much they wish that they could have been there for Michael or that they wish they had been open enough that he would have felt comfortable coming to them.

People love to say how Michael changed the bigger his fame became. I don't believe that. Michael reacted to how everyone else around him changed. They stopped thinking of him as a person and he became nothing more than a superstar--even to many of those who claimed to know and love him. Well, there superstar was in pain--physical and emotional--at different times in his life. He sang "Will You Be There." How many could truly answer that they were. Only a few, unfortunately.

Smokey Robinson: 'I Feel Sorry For Dr. Murray'

Soul icon Smokey Robinson feels sorry for Michael Jackson's embattled personal physician DR. Conrad Murray, insisting he believes the doctor merely wanted to be around the King of Pop.

Robinson feels sure Dr. Murray was only doing what Jackson told him to do, and unfortunately that may have involved administering the fatal dose of anesthetic Propofol which cost the singer his life in June, 2009.

Speaking to news show Access Hollywood backstage at Saturday's (08Oct11) Michael Forever tribute concert in Wales, the Tears of a Clown singer said, "I just think it’s tragic. I think it’s a tragedy. I feel sorry, in a way, for the doctor... He was just so happy to be around Michael Jackson, and to do whatever Michael said whenever Michael said it."

The Michael Forever concert offered fans and Jackson family members a break from the Murray manslaughter trial in Los Angeles. The doctor faces jail time if he's found guilty. The trial recommences on Tuesday (11Oct11) following America's Columbus Day holiday.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Now, Motown's musical poet Smokey Robinson goes on the ever-growing hate list.

Smokey Robinson[/B] says he doesn't want his sympathy for Dr. Murray to be misinterpreted as support -- telling TMZ he does "feel sorry" for the guy ... but still believes Murray is 100% GUILTY.

Earlier this week, Smokey told Access Hollywood ... "I actually feel sorry in a way for the doctor .. he was just under the influence of being so happy to be around Michael Jackson."

Now, Smokey says he does not want anyone to be confused about his stance on the manslaughter case -- telling TMZ, "Let me be clear, I believe Dr. Murray is responsible for Michael Jackson's death through his absolute negligence.”

Smokey adds, "I knew Michael Jackson since he was 10 years old and loved him like a little brother. His untimely death was one of the most tragic events in my life."

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I hate to say this but I am not sure if he is saying this because he got complaints or he really messed up what he meant which can happen. I am sorry I don't know which it is.

He should learn to keep his senile trap shut...

If Smokey had never said anything at all he wouldn't have to do the back-peddling he's doing now.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

The problem is people who are not watching the trial should not be making comments. I doubt that he fully knows about the secret recordings that Murray made of Michael, the audio interview of Murray lying and throwing Michael under a bus. When you put all these things together there is no sympathy for Conrad Murray. He is a devious, greedy man with no conscience.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

So now hes backtracking eh! guess he read a few tweets

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

How the heck can smokey feel sorry for murray and yet belive he's 100% guilty at the same time?...it just doesnt make any sense at all!

Did you watched the same video I did? Because that child does not look like he was having fun. He read his lines, Paris didn't have to correct him. That was his line. He was crying up there too. I don't think we saw the same video.

Well, Parid did have to correct him. Listen carefully to what Blanket says.. he says

“We are very happy to introduce our father on this special night..”

Then Paris imo corrects him (while looking at him smiling)

“We are very happy to be here on this special night to honour our father”

Imo, its clear he wasnt suppose to say "introduce our father".....I also read somewhere, cant remember, that Blanket also cried because he said the wrong thing, ie messed up the words.

Michael Jackson's Son Blanket Has His Dad's Moves

Looks like Michael Jackson's kids inherited his dance moves.

Backstage at Saturday's Michael Forever tribute concert at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, Blanket Jackson, 9, was a dancing machine.

"Blanket was dancing and spinning – and it was like an exact Michael Jackson dance," says a source who was backstage at the show and saw all of Jackson's children, including Prince, 14, and Paris, 13, hanging out.

"All three of the kids were in one of the little quick change rooms backstage," the source continues, "but Blanket was dancing on his own."

Typically shy, Blanket looked like "he was happy," says the source, who adds: "The kids were watching him and joking around."

So? one Michael Jackson is not enough to fill Katherine's pocket ? should we expect the Great Blanky to drop an album soon? come on Katherine you have to share this new 'talent' with the whole world you've spoiled us by your 'generosity' !

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I find it stupid to feel sorry for Murray just cause he got caught up in MJs Celebrity. Which is what Smokey and many in the media like Dr. Drew fool always saying. He was the doctor who did everyting wrong including never keeping record of MJ's medical history which was is job. Or was Dr. Murray to mezmerized by MJs moonwalk instead? Is that what some people base their "I feel sorry for Murray" on? lol Did that block his 20yr experience as a Dr. to all of a sudden not do the right thing? -_-

Don't these people think more then anything else it was the money? He was quick to abondon his other patients at his practices and I believe if anyone else other then MJ would have offered him the same kind of money or more he would have said yes to them too. So more then anything for me it was greed!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Hate adding to this thread but was visiting positively michael forum tocheck out TMez and popped into the tribute thread. A member there had been to the concert and met up and talked with 3t (she's a fan). She made a few posts about some of the things they said, and i don't think i'm stepping on any toes if i type out a few interesting things they were saying, as it was a public forum.

3t were concerned about the criticism about blanket being on stage. They said he wasn't forced, he wanted to do it. Apparently his upset expression when he came out on stage was because he had just had an argument with paris and was in a bad temper. So the blame for his uncomfortable demeanour is down to his big sis having a bust-up with him just before he goes out to address 40,000 strangers? Not sure how that makes things better, but i'm just typing out what this fan said she was told.

3t said they were late signing up to the tribute (really? i thought they were among the 1st) because they wanted to check out who was behind it. When they found out mrs J and the children were on board with it they were happy to join in as those 4 were the ones michael loved best in the world. I'm guessing that passes for due diligence in their world.

They told this fan that they believe there was an actual team whose job it was to put out negative stories about the tribute and that 99% of the things reported weren't true and were made by people to sabotage the show. Well, i can't think of a single criticism of the show that didn't come from globalive themselves. But apparently 3t are in deep denial about this. I'm just really glad that they have nothing to do with the estate as they sound extremely flaky to me.

It doesn't make it any better. He mustn't have sent on to that stage to cry in front the world , the reason doesn't matter IMO.

ehh okay.

basically repeating what Chris Hunt says and we actually heard this from Taj on twitter before and experienced on this forum before.

There's a group of people who wants to support Jacksons no matter what - especially against the Estate. As they are the family of Michael to these group of people it's impossible to grasp that Jacksons can be criticized. So they came up the myth that there was an evil force in place that's even hiring people to bad mouth the Jacksons. and it seems like Jacksons believe this delusional fantasy as well.

Reality is that unfortunately after MJ's death and over time people changed their opinions about Jacksons based on what they did and didn't do in regards to Michael. Example : Look to my posts. If you back to Grammy awards time, you'll see my posts that how happy I was that 3T was with MJ's kids. Today in regards to the tribute my opinion has changed. It's not because it's "my job" to put out negative stories about them, it's simply because of their own behavior.

and that 99% not true comment is hilarious. What was not true?

- That MJ's kids was mentioned on the "terms and conditions" as making appearance? Well it happened right?
- That the prices were too high? Well they reduced it twice didn't they?
- That it wasn't fair to require a charity donation to get a ticket? Well they cancelled that right?
- That it wasn't "for charity" but "for profit"? Well didn't Chris Hunt said that their investors want to get their money and make a little profit?
- That they didn't have Estate's approval and cannot use MJ's image and likeliness? Well they couldn't use them right? Even the broadcast was cancelled due to copyrights.
- That the line up was weak? Well didn't the media call it X-factor Karaoke? Didn't 2 major acts dropped BEP and Jennifer Hudson and only one left was Beyonce via video?
- That concert timing was inappropriate? Well did they check the forums to see how much fans are effected by the autopsy pictures and realize that their mindset is not in the mood for partying?
- That the concert would not sell out in these conditions? Well it didn't sell out right?

So excuse me but what was the 99% of the things that were reported not true? To me it looks like everything we said was the truth.

thanks for adding these.

I think the clarification helps. Blanket could still very much have wanted to go out on stage. It's like when a mother admonishes her child about something...like for instance before they go on a family road trip, and the child gets mad at her, and sulks, and even once in the car and on the road, he cries. Blanket's tears came after he got on stage. Them coming could have had as much to do with what Paris said to him as anything else. From what I understand, she very much is big sister and maternal with her younger brother.

I would strangely rank them above katherine in the "Most surprised by" category. I would've never expected these young men to be this clueless.

It didn't seem like the concert will be shown onsky tv this weekend. It's still not listed.
