Michael - The Great Album Debate

It's not far fetched to believe that Eddie Cascio would knowingly sell songs as MJ songs that are not him at all. Simply because none of us really know him. None of us really know his history with Michael. We may know maybe 1% of it. I couldn't say Eddie is a nice guy any more than I could say he is a slimy scumbag. Truthfully, neither could any of you. We don't know him. I wouldn't vouch for a guy that in all truthfulness I didn't know. So many people who Michael called his friends ended up screwing him over. I'm sure they all seemed very nice at one point. Mark Lester seemed like a real nice guy at one point. How did that turn out? The hazards of being Michael Jackson.

^ Exactly, and I tried to make that point earlier. Lots of people were very close to Michael, nice to him for years and years, put on an image of kindness, and in a heartbeat betrayed him. Actually I think almost all the doubters have brought up that point when people say the Cascio's are good people..

Guys, long time no chat. The past week was very difficult for me because of Hurricane Sandy. We just got power back (after six days of power outage). Still need to figure out how to go to work tomorrow. The train I usually take is suspended because of flooding related damage.

Will talk more soon. I'm beyond exhausted now.

Good to know you're ok :)

So many people who Michael called his friends ended up screwing him over.

I don't know why this is so hard to understand...

Also, I think it's possible that Eddie has justified this in some ways in his mind, like that Michael said he liked or would record the songs with him, perhaps in London. That one day it would become a reality so it's alright to go ahead with Jason. Maybe he even feels like Michael gave his blessing for it and he's keeping it a secret for that reason? There really could be an infinite amount of 'what-if' scenarios.

off-topic: By the way, you guys, I don't know if you've heard this song but since we're sharing a little Michael-ish music, I just discovered this lately and it really reminds me of Off The Wall/Thriller era Michael.

I'm sorry to hear you were hit by the hurricane, love is magical. I hope things will be back to normal for you soon. It's good to know that you are okay!

Well, Eddie may be a good person as a rule, but I think maybe he released these songs because he truly believed that it was the 'right' thing to do....Considering it was supposedly Michael's most recent work, fans want to hear it, etc.....What doesn't settle well with me is that as Eddie is an aspiring producer, and a good friend to Michael, you'd think he'd consider Michael's feelings on the matter...What would Michael have thought or felt knowing that these songs were released in the state they are in? Of course, this is assuming they really are Michael....

Did he really learn much from Michael then in terms of how Michael worked as a musician? Did he realize Michael's tireless work ethics, perfectionist tendencies, and true passion for his art? Because, all other producers that Michael has worked with seem to understand this musicianship, and truly respect it....

Considering Eddie is a producer and above all, supposed to be Michael's FRIEND, you'd think all of this would be of strict importance to Eddie...We as fans of course didn't KNOW Michael, but Eddie did, and we seem to understand and respect Michael's work ethic, because we have a thirst for this type of knowledge of Michael's habits in the studio or just how he typically made music....Eddie just seemed to miss the ball on that one, I don't know....

Hi Love, I hope you're doing well. Hang in there, we're all with you :)

Also, Eddie having a history of friendship with Michael doesn't mean he was MJ's fan in the same way we are. To Eddie, MJ was maybe just another regular guy with trivial music since his birth, unlike to us who have had impression that Michael was unreachable and his music sacred.

Yep, Qbee, I've been a mini fan of him for a few years. All of his music he shared for free on his website. Good quality music!

One of my fav. jams from him: http://soundcloud.com/pentum/maren-lane-acoustic (1.55 fav moment)

Another fav is "Wait": http://soundcloud.com/pentum/wait lots of falsetto that resemble Mike

There is def. some MJ in his voice.

Yeah, a few inches / centimeteres tall troll from Norway. :D

I wonder if Eddie ever listened to Michael's music with his ears as close as possible to the speakerbox.

I'm serious; did he ever really listen to Michael's music/singing? Really listen? Not just hear it. Did he understand the uniqueness, the talent?

Sorry for sounding so presumptuous (or overbearing..translation?), but it's how I feel.

I'm trying to understand to how and why this happened.

And as long as he's silent, we will never know what kind of person he is, or how he feels about Michael's artistry.

I agree...We'll never know, so all we can do is guess and discuss....

What I'm wondering is how could Eddie not have seen it though? If Michael really recorded these songs, then Eddie was able to see Michael in his element for 12 songs...Eddie must have picked up a lot of experience and musical tricks of the trade from Michael...Teacher and student, type of thing...So I guess I just really don't understand how and why this happened....

Just a little note on the sales of BAD25 talked about earlier. The BAD25 suitcase has been out of stock for more than two months now, I see this rather as a nice success. ;) Not BAD for a 25 year old material + untouched demos + the high price of it ;)

Girlfriends getting it for me for my birthday next week. Ooooh I'm excited! :D

p.s. Damn, how many girlfriends do you have Aniram? :p
Aren't you an English teacher or something? Just the one, celebrated 7 years together last month! :) Every time we go up to Target or the local music store, they have at least a few copies of each. Although, I live in a very conservative area of the United States where Michael Jackson isn't the most popular listening choice. I'm sure Taylor's album did really well around here.

Well indeed, you said "girlfriends getting it", unless you meant "girlfriend's getting it" :poke:

Yep, that is indeed what I meant, was going to say I missed an apostrophe. Yeah, girlfriend's getting the black box. :ninja:

WEll. We are finally going to hit 2000 pages. I dunno if i should celebrate or cry that the issue is still going on. lol

Love his new video and the vibratto. :girl_pride:

We all love that guy:clapping:X.

I believe Alex, I don't believe Cascio singer...:D

Keep your head up, guys.

Besides from wanting to know the truth, that Michael wasn't betrayed, it's also for a selfish reason I want to know. Want to know if I heard it right. If I really am wrong about this.
