Michael - The Great Album Debate

I said they would have 7 songs, and i believe weather the songs real or not they arent the quality that should be released. Being the only set of unprocessed vocals they used for the song. They cant change how the song sounds. They are innocent until proven guilty, and i believe that becuase Monster and Breaking News were moved from the Immortal tour that shows us that putting the songs in would hurt sales. So why would they put the songs back into the album if they want it to sell more?
So because they removed 2 songs well 1 1/2 since there are still some parts of Monster left in it not just the rap it means that it was due to the controversy ?

When the Immortal world tour first launched in Canada many videos posted by people showed Breaking News and Monster were still used in some parts.

I said this before and it's IMO dumb to ask a believer where they hear Michael Jackson and the most since being a believer means you believe the song is sung by Michael Jackson so yeah that answers that.

I said that Monster is my favorite song on the "Michael" album not Michael's best.

Before I responded to someone saying that if they wish to believe it's Michael's best then it's their opinion.

What stands out from these lyrics ? I would not know how to answer this since the I don't like a part of the song I like the song.

Now why does the song require copy and pastes maybe because the vocals were guide vocals and Michael did not get to record the final version so the producers took what they have since they cannot get new vocals and pasted some older vocals to fill in the blanks.

Right, so no analysis and just assumptions. Just because you believe it to be MJ doesn't mean you can't point out what parts sound MOST like him, and WHY. It's by no means a dumb or fruitless question to ask. In fact, I answered the question when I believed in these songs. I analysed them all to death back then and I analyse them to death now.

And again, just because you LIKE the song/lyrics doesn't mean you can't analyse them and compare them to others like them.

So you're just generalising about basically everything about these songs with vague statements, refusing to analyse these songs in-depth and discuss it with the rest of us. OK, I have a good portrait of the kind of debater you are. You put your personal enjoyment of these songs as the priority as opposed to the analysis everyone else puts into these songs to determine their belief.

azsummergirl, you were right.

Nobody said which 7 songs would remain on the album. :D You assumed non-Cascio tracks, but nobody said it explicitely :D

Besides, no new vocals from Monster remains. Just the "Aaow" which is most likely from Unbreakable. They removed the "Ha!" from the CD release, ironically the only ad-lib we couldn't connect to another song. All while the only instrumental piece is going is the bass from Threatened. Funny that, huh?

Breaking News and Monster were never used in any public performance of Immortal. All they use is one line of the 50 cent rap. They were removed after fans flooded cirques facebook page with complaints following the fan preview that Gaz and others attended.

The update is unnecessary. Why? Because I didn't sound like I know the future. Again, it's not my problem that you choose to misinterpret my post. If I said things like "I know Rick Santorum will come on top of Mitt Romney to get the GOP presidential nomination and beat Barack Obama in the general election in November," then you can call me out. In fact, I don't need to have the ability to predict the future to know Monster (album or pre-rap version) will not be re-released, I just need to have logic and common sense, like ivy always said.

First, Monster is not a hit. By now, it has close to zero potential to become one. It's a song released after the passing of Michael. So, there won't be any live performance or video to promote the song. Why would Sony re-release an obscure song from a posthumous album? The first time it's released, it failed to generate any interest. Sony cancelled the plan to release the song as single and took it off the Immortal setlist. The song is not going to be on the Glee tribute episode. There simply isn't any indication that the song will experience a renaissance.

Second, Michael isnt the type of album that warrants a re-release. Unlike Thriller, Michael isn't the greatest selling of all time. Unlike Bad, Michael didn't generate commercial hits one after another. So, what's the reason for a 25th anniversary edition? Michael is just a grab bag of songs that Michael did not complete and knew very little about. You think it's a good idea to re-release Michael 25 years later? To celebrate what? That Michael Jackson was dead for 25 years.

Third, the music industry is deteriorating and people's listening habit is drastically different. When Thriller and BAD were released, people bought tapes and CDs that would worn out. Now, people get the Michael album, import the songs to iTune library and listen with iPod. The CD will not wear out. I don't see how albums released post iTune revolution have any valid business and practical reasons to be re-released.
Where did you hear that Monster won't be on Glee ?

I don't think it has anything to do with refusing. He simply can't and that should tell you enough, Jesta.

Which means that they used the only Jackson's part there is. Curtis Jackson's. :D

Because I've been asked where I hear Michael on Monster and I was like "What?" well I hear Michael on the whole song well and 50 Cent and James Porte of course.

Your hearing something that sounds like Michael. How do you it IS Michael?

We had the same reaction when you said you hear Michael on the whole song. We were like: "What?" :D

You've still flat our refused to analyse anything about these songs at all. To me, that means you are not interested in the debate, and instead you just want to remind us that you love these songs. You like 'em? Fine, go ahead and like 'em, but telling us here is NOT the place. This is a place to decipher the conception and creation of these tracks, why/how they sound wildly different to Michael Jackson throughout his entire career (you also refused to point out similarities between these songs and others), why/how this happened and how this can be prevented in the future for the good of the fanbase. I cannot have a civil discussion with people who would want these tracks - which are "Michael"'s weakest recorded moments - released on an official album with respectable songs just because they like them. It's unfair to Michael.

No the intro of Breaking News was included on the 1st show (IDK if it's still used) I might still have the video I have to check.

No it wasn't. That was the intro to Tabloid Junkie.

In all fairness, I believe like one or two seconds of the very beginning ambience music was used... Hardly using the song at all. No vocals, just the off-putting intro with the weirdest news reporters in the world...

And you think all 2.5 million were hard core fans that were aware of this situation in the first place?
I am one of many who fall in both categories. I KNOW its not mus voice and I bought the album anyway. I preordered and couldn't figure out how to cancel after breaking news streamed. when I got it I took scissors to it. I'm serious.

A lot of doubters might have bought the Cd anyway. I personally will never be so quick to buy any new MJ music ever ever again.

When a person listens to only 1 artist well and the Jackson 5/The Jacksons I'm sure they memorize that person (s) voice well me I listen only to MJ/J5 so I know MJ from Jason Malachi or other people.
