I'm not debating your opinion. I am debating the quality of a song, set aside my opinion. For example, I referred to many radios who spontaneously played it, compared to KYHU.

By the way, if you ask an experienced musician, composer, vocalist and singer which of the two are masterpieces and which not at all, you'd quickly get your answer without being asked for your opinion.

In my opinion there's a difference with an adlib and an actual verse. There was an earth song adlib in KYHU but you cannot say that adlib was representative of the KYHU. It wasn't. Similarly there might be an adlib in "water" (and there is as we agreed upon) but it's not something I'll call the song water. Plus the adlib presented as the song Water caused people believe and panic that the water was nothing more than "heaven can wait", that's why I said what I said. Otherwise I would be happy to continue to play the dumb blonde and act like I know nothing :)

I'm not saying KYHU is as good as Earth Song, of course not. I'm saying they're both masterpieces and KYHU isn't that far off Earth Song's greatness.

First you are still avoiding to answer if you heard the entire song.

Second, adding the addlibs to KYHU even if there were no debate about those Cascio tracks would have been a horrible mix as it doesn't flow together at all.

Earth Song really made Michael Jackson my hero when I was younger. That song was my favorite. Keep Your Head Up will never be near it, but I never said it was or expected anything on the album to be better than it.

I have said before that Best Of Joy is one of my favorite Michael Jackson songs ever and probably one of the best he ever wrote, but... I guess there's no debate on that track.

Yeah, but the difference here is that the ad libs in the old KYHU was from another song. The Heaven Can Wait singing IS from the Water song, the same take. :)

So if a surgeon tells you, "you need a quick operation", and you say "no I don't", you would say to your surgeon :"that's just your opinion"? In other words you are putting your opinion on the same level as the people who are specialized in their respective field?

Your opinion is that Earth Song is far better than KYHU, my opinion is that KYHU is not far off Earth Song's level. Don't debate my opinion as I am not debating yours.

Well yes! You know people are studying things like music theory and they know the difficulty and complexity of a song and can compare it to the complexity and the difficulty of another.

Here, see FIVE different singers having much trouble singing Earth Song, their voices are simply not as powerful as Michael's. Celine Dion is the only one who reaches the notes, but is obviously visible that it is not simple to sing.

Keep your head up could be sung even by an amateurish singer such as Jason Malachi, that's the difference. It is not a question of opinion, but the reality of the complexity of the song:

and, how can you not be at least a tad upset when one of your hero's best pieces is being taken so liberally and stuck into a song that has nothing to do with it? Come on, KYHU is not Earth Song Part II, for goodness sake.

Right... it is easy to say when someone dies, someone wrote this, to make it sound more like he is singing though.

We are not even 100% Michael even wrote these. Don't forget, Eddie had some songs pre-written with James. This could be one of them, even if it is written in the Michael booklet.

In the 2010 Grammys, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Smokey Robinson and Celine Dion performed Earth Song during the tribute. Even Smokey Robinson struggled with the song. When Michael's vocals were played, his vocals blew all of them away. Not even Celine Dion can do justice to the song.
