Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Want me to show you the videos where Michael Jackson says he likes Justin Timberlake and Usher? There are Several.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

^^ Sure, but what does that have to do with comparing them?

Want me to show you the videos where Michael Jackson says he likes Justin Timberlake and Usher? There are Several.

And this proves that Michael Jackson wanted to sing like them?

Justin Timberlake isn't fit enough to tie up Michael's shoelaces.

I recommend you give up on this line of enquiry. It's going to go nowhere.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

What the f@ck has this to do with all the things you mentioned above, huh? Just because he said that he liked Timberlake and Usher for you that means that he, Michael Jackson, was "inspired" by them? Are you serious?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

"Cause I gotta be nobody but me." sounds N*syncish and Timberlakeish

What More Can I Give sounds boy bandish. Are you denying that?

Uh, yeah...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Alright then. We'll agree to disagree. It's quite obvious to me and I do not like N*Sync, maybe that's why.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

You are trying to make a point by using stupid arguments that makes some of us, ie me, very upset. Do you understand what you wrote in one of your previous comments? DO YOU?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I'm sorry Michael..Aniram didn't mean it....

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

... I said he's infinitely better than N*Sync. Just because ONE line out of all his music sounds somewhat similar doesn't mean anything to me. You are over sensitive.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

^^ But What More Can I Give is boybandish? It's hard NOT to be sensitive when you compare MJ to boy bands of any kind in any way.

No, we are not over sensitive. You are writing absurd things because you want to make a point about the Cascio tracks and when someone is challenging you, then you try to sneak from what you said by using faces or saying that you were joking. Now, if you don't know or don't understand what you are writting then is better to not write at all.
YOU SAID THIS :
That's why I think he incorporated little elements of their music into his later work as much as any other music that he enjoyed or respected. It's not unlikely that he'd write a boy band sounding track. These could have been tracks intended for other artists, too. He could have saw himself going in that direction?
AND THEN YOU SAID THIS
Just because ONE line out of all his music sounds somewhat similar doesn't mean anything to me
And all of this based on a line of a song that was about charity. Are you serious? And you expect people to take seriouly the comment that you make about the Cascio songs when you write this kind of things?

Good one, making up assumptions

It's just an observation, its the most active Malachi supporters who have mostly talked or commented about hearing the songs or being in possession of these songs.

Next time ain't gonna sent you any pm as did with Soldier Boy. I made a mistake.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Usher, Timberlake, Bieber, N'Sync, BSB, NKOTB, Take That, etc... are all replaceable pop acts. They come and go. Of course, they are talented; yet, none of them is revolutinary, creative or one-of-a-kind. None of them has created a distinctive style. Hard-working artists, they may be. Inspirational and inconic, they are not.

Michael said he likes N'Sync and Usher, but I highly doubt he's inspired by his own copies. I remember seeing Michael in Japan watching a Japanese boyband rehearsed. The boyband was horrible. Seriously, they were as cheesy as you can get. I can't stand them. The greatest artist of all time, however, nodding and clapping his hands. I told myself, "Michael, you are too kind."

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspi

Do you know if anything more has been leaked? I only have the snipped of Soldier boy?.

Some critics said WATW is corny and HTW is like a musical version of Hallmark card (whatever that means)....

Seems like some cannot understand an anthem always has simple melody, which people of all races can sing along. When WATW is released, I was a 5 year-old kid in Hong Kong. I spoke no English and did not know one single English word. I was able to hum the melody. I didn't know Michael Jackson wrote that song. I only knew it's a charity song - a charity song that inspired tens of Chinese versions.

WMCIG is boyband-ish? I don't know. I have yet to hear a song from Take That or N'Sync that is this heartfelt.

Yes, Michael actually did say that in regards to WATW and HTW...(well, WATW I know for sure)... he wanted to write a simple melody that anyone could sing along to...And that's exactly what he did...That's genius.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

seriously, it's genius. now that i look back, i appreciate even more how brilliant WATW really is... think about it a 5-year old kid who didn't know any english word was able to sing along. the melody just burnt into my brain forever.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Wanted to write a simple melody people could sing along to? That's genius? Hahaha, what? That's what so many musicians do.

Lol... nah... I guess not... You are right. Many musicians can write good melody. Many folklore writers can write lovey melody. I actually have tremendous respect for musicians and artists and writers.

What distinguish Michael from other great musicians is that Michael can consistently write music that touches people of all ages and all races. People all over the world respond to him. A five year old girl couldn't help but to respond to a song he wrote.

I'll say it again. He's a genius!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Damn straight he's genius! Anything he's ever touched has turned to gold...if that's not genius then it's from up above....either way, he was extraordinary...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

if someone has the snippet of soldier boy, can you please pm it to me?
thanks!

Yes. It is genius. 'Wanting' to do something and actually 'doing' something are two VERY distinct things.

You cried about people 'mocking' you and here you are trying to mock them?

Here's the difference between Michael Jackson and 'most musicians' for you. Scroll down to the section beginning with 'We Are The World':

One more thing. If you think that NSYNC could EVER have written ANYTHING like Earth Song I don't think it would be possible for you to insult Michael any more.

It's a genius who can write a song like Earth Song. And then have his dream fulfilled - children around the world singing it, regardless of race or language.

Stop trying to downplay his talent in order to justify this crap. It ain't gonna work.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Pardon? I was very grateful that you sent me it, as I've said repeated times now that statement was just an observation from reading this thread as to who has the 12 songs!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

samhabib, I never 'cried' about anyone mocking me, and I never said N*Sync could write anything like Earth Song. You are either lying or putting words in my mouth without realizing it.

You complained about being mocked, didn't you? And then went on to try and mock others. Irony?

You're the one comparing Michael Jackson's songwriting to NSYNC's. So maybe you can go into more detail for us?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I agree with them, though, Michael IS a genius for writing such simple melody that people enjoy and sing all around the word.

And I said I heard TINY ELEMENTS of N*Sync in Michael's music, maybe just a few lines in all of his music I've ever listened to. With Michael saying over and over that he has respect for Justin Timberlake, I don't find it unlikely he'd have one or two lines in his music that sound somewhat Timberlake-ish, just like I don't think it's unlikely that Justin's music would sound very very Michael-ish given that MJ is one of his largest influences.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I think the only cheesest song which NSYNC would have sung is 'Girlfriend' but that was written by Paul McCartney. So there you go.

I love to know how Bye Bye Baby is anything like Earth Song, Michael had passion.

Yeah, N*Sync have never come near Earth Song or ANY of Michael's music. He clearly is the master. I don't understand why anyone would misinterpret what I said as saying N*Sync are equal to or better than Michael Jackson.

Exactly. Michael writing was way much better, 'Stranger In Moscow' is an example.

Or maybe he is getting confused with Jason Malachi :)
