Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Yeah, because you know... Michael recorded lots of crap so it's possible. I mean... They Dont Care About Us is meaningless boyband crap so it's all possible.

Don't forget the lyrics to Earth Song...they're cheesy as hell....

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

By the way, most boy bands were inspired by Michael Jackson and have choreographers inspired by Michael Jackson. He is the King of Pop, they are imitations. He did it all first anyway... and artists change their styles up constantly.

What More Can I Give is a great track but I will admit it sounds like it could be a boy band song. And also Escape has very N*Sync/Backstreet Boys sounding parts. And weren't those written by Michael himself?

Maybe..

What More Can I Give sounds like a boy band track. Escape sounds boy-bandish at times, like N*Sync and Backstreet Boys. Who cares?

God I was actually joking with my TDCAU comment but wouldn't you know it? Someone would claim Michael wrote boyband crap!

It would be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous. And these are fans! Blimey!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

^^ Did what first anyway? Not boy band music....

You're right. Can't wait to hear Usher imitate the 'killing up the life of the birds in the trees'. Because that's some genius shit right there that needs imitating.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

No, I feel like he changed the world with his music and most boy bands of the 90's like we're talking about were inspired by Michael Jackson.

I like that line, by the way. You might not like birds and trees but I do.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Xscape sounds like a boyband song?!? Like an NSYNC song???

 Damn me, I'm going to listen to some Xscape! One of the BEST bridges I've EVER heard....Listen to it!! can't be compared to the likes of N'Sync...that's just wrong...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

The chorus, yes. Dirty pop, pop.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Don't bother. Just put on Backstreet Boys 'As Long As You Love Me'. No difference, apparently.

Can you send it to me? I know you got it, dude! ;)

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I didn't say there's no difference. Escape is obviously a brilliant song, and so is What More Can I Give(although I like Escape more), but there are elements you can recognize that sound like things boy bands have done. I can't deny it. I hear it when I listen to the music and it makes sense to me because Michael HIMSELF said he likes Usher and Justin Timberlake.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

^^

What about the song he reportedly wrote for Hanson?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Lovin' the funky guitar in Xscape...You don't hear that coming from a boy band....

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Obviously Michael was a fan of great music, like he always said.

You think N*Sync and Usher became number one because they're talentless ripoffs?

No, they have talent. Of course, not all artists that become number one are talented or as talented as Michael, maybe, but I think Michael had great respect for genuine people that worked hard, which is obvious in certain groups like Usher and N*Sync.

That's why I think he incorporated little elements of their music into his later work as much as any other music that he enjoyed or respected. He loved all kinds of music, remember... It's not unlikely that he'd write a boy band sounding track. These could have been tracks intended for other artists, too. He could have saw himself going in that direction?

You don't hear brutal lyrics like 'When I go this problem world won't worry me no more...' or whatever the actual lyric is (it's late here!).

Anytime anyone compares Michael Jackson to NSYNC you know it's a stretch!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

...Ha? Comparing two of the number one, best selling pop acts in history! That's a stretch.

'The man with the pen that writes the lies that hassle this man...'....Too true, Mike

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Oh, brother... I'm comparing two of the most successful POP artists. Justin Timberlake sings and dances a lot like Michael Jackson. How is that a stretch? My gosh.

...Ha? Comparing two of the number one, best selling pop acts in history! That's a stretch.

Comparing the greatest artist of all time with some jumped up pop puppets... yeah it's a stretch. For me, at least. Not for you, clearly.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

samhabib, I'd appreciate it if you stop with that nonsense. I know Michael Jackson is better than N*Sync in an infinite number of ways. I'm not part of any N*Sync or Justin Timberlake forum, okay? In fact I don't really like it when I hear elements of them in his music.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Justin Timberlake sings like Michael Jackson? I'd love to hear him sing Keep The Faith like Michael Jackson. Would LOVE to hear that!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

You're just mocking me on purpose.

samhabib, I'd appreciate it if you stop with that nonsense.

You've just said Justin Timberlake sings and dances like Michael Jackson. You said that. Not me.

He sounds nothing like Michael Jackson. And he'll never create his own style of dancing like Michael Jackson.

But in your eyes he sings and dances like Michael Jackson.

You're saying these words. Not me.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

And I said Michael Jackson is better than Justin in an infinite number of ways. I said it, yes I said it. Did you read that?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

If some of you are really suggesting or directly saying that Mike was inspired by boybands only because you want to make a point about the fucking Cascio songs, then what more can i say.You are delusional.

Are you fucking kidding me with this. Seriously? How can you say all this things with straight face?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Aniram, not trying be nasty, but you can't possibly compare Michael Jackson with N'Sync....I'm sorry...THAT'S nonsense....
