The song was originally written in 1979!!!!!Michael intended this song to be on Thriller.

I think we already discussed HT before. Now to be clear no one is saying that it's not MJ, it is. But it kinda sounds different (at least to some people) and the reason for it is obvious (especially after the video release). That song was processed as well. The video has a less processed /not processed version of the vocals.

does it really need that drastic changes? how about temporary situations? I'm not talking about MJ and the vocals but in general. For example if you go to the dentist and the dentist numbs a part of your mouth, most people will slur / mumble the words.

In that case my mistake, I should read all almost 400 pages and see who is pro and who is against the Cascio's songs but I can't go through this again. I've been there on another forum and for some reason I was banned.

Why do you think people have different and unique voices? Because they each have unique body structure.

They would mumble through the same inner nasal cavities, the same larynx, the same pharynx, the same thorax, and so on.

Would the voice sound different? Yes. (HT, Privacy, Why you wanna trip on me, ...)
Would the voice timbre sound different? No. (BN, Monster, Stay, ...)

But is the timbre really different or is it less dominant in these recordings because of the processing done to enhance the vocals?

Hollywood Tonight was recorded mostly professionally. I don't think very much processing was needed for it.

No, but there was processing and it didn't change the timbre of his voice. Processing or not, the vocals are unmistakably Michael Jackson.

I understand it's daunting to read over 400 pages of posts, I highly recommend you to read the one posted between mid-January 2011 to mid-February 2011. Some members here posted very interesting links and rare photos, shared wonderful memories of how they became fans and experience of attending Michael's concerts. I felt I re-lived the late 80's and early 90's through their stories. It's wonderful.

I'm not saying the posts before January and after February are worthless though. This thread is actually very informative, despite being a heated one most of the time. :cheeky:

Many people say that even the rough vocals are not him o_O.So unmistakable is kinda incorrect...

And thats how i feel toward the cascio tracks, HT and BoJ are fake! i mean think about it, why use a completely different track for the music video? hiding something are we?

Michael is not one to do silly little songs like BoJ and HT which are both over repetitive and boring, and trust me, even songs of his i dont like aren't repetitive (i dont really like Thriller for example)

Are you saying that minorities are wrong? No matter how small a minority is, it does not detract from the fact that they are correct, look at examples from history, go back to the time of Galileo, only a very very small percentage of people believed that the earth revolved around the sun (as opposed to the sun and the planets revolving around the earth).
