Michael Jackson's Vision' DVD Boxed Set Available Everywhere Monday November 22

Next DVD, could they release all Making Of of MJ's videos, like Stranger in Moscow, In the Closet etc....??

Would be niiiiice!

Yes, a making of DVD would have been nice!
Better than the same stuff over and over again!

Just checked the UK Amazon and its the same case as before. They briefly took it off last week for some reason but now all back on.

Michael Jacksons vision...

Was CRY MJ's Vision? - I think not...

MJ didn't even want to be involved in the project.

Give us a break. Nobody here is happy with the OMC? Does anyone here have realized that Bad will be complete for the first time (with closing credits)???

And CYFI???

I'm tired of all this mess.

That idiot interviewing PPB, the press practicing his habitual lying and fans complaining about the only good thing that we have at the moment.

If you had taken time to read my previous posts you would know that I am VERY exited about this release. I have already ordered 3 copies.

Can't wait for all the new stuff, the improved quality and especially OMC video.

ALL I said was Cry wasn't MJ's Vision. When I said I would have liked TII video to be included in the box people said it wasn't included because it wasn't MJ's Vision.

Then I just pointed out that Cry was not a MJ Vision either.

I know. Actually, I agree with you.

I'm kinda tired of reading negative things. But you're right.

PS: 3 copies??? Can you give me a copy? LOL Just kidding. I still do not know if the box will be released in my country.

So actually I already got lost reg. this release...
I ordered a copy at hmv for £17.99. At site it says:
3 DVDs in a deluxe digipak with a beautiful hard-bound 60 page booklet and stunning lenticular cover, plus a clear o-card featuring an iconic gold silhouette.
So this is regular edition right? And this limited one will be this being sold in Japan for 90 USD? Does anyone know where to order limited edition in Europe? Thank you :flowers:

The description for OMC clearly states it'll be a "short film", people keep saying it's just a montage of pictures despite never seeing named video. Quite mind boggling.

I'm going to buy the DVD boxed set after it's released. I want to compare the versions offered by different retailers (I don't know if they are going to come with different bonus features just like when This Is It.)

Based on the pictures on michaeljackson.com, the booklet looks quite good.

Why Sony never bothers updating the background of mj.com? Am I the only one who's bothered? Come on...some members here change their siggy and avatar on a monthly basis...

I was positive till now, about this.
You always learn some new word, when it's about remastering. Here is another cool one: meticulously.
Let me tell you what happend to the Madonna's Celebration double dvd release.
Audio, very good remastered lpcm stereo plus horrible dd5.1.
Video. well, the quality was much better then the previous releases, BUT they tried to squeeze 47 videos (180min) on two DVD5. the video bitrate is 4075kbps. I don't need to tell you how that looks.
Lets hope Sony is smart enough to put them on 2x dvd9 disks, else with over 50% of videos with lenght over 6min, thats won't be nice to watch.

Yeah... all of you buy this to give sony more money to release the bluray, and then here i go!

Good idea, but then SONY HAS to release a BLURAY with REALLY ALL (!!!!) COMPLETE VERSIONS of MJ / JACKSONS (epic period) or maybe with MOTOWN together IF it will go with the license

According to Sony Music Finland the DVD box set will available on wednesday Nov 24th in Finland.

Great! And it's really that ~30€, right?

as said by many others that will obviously be released seperatly on its own. its bad business sense to release loads of stuff in one go on the same DVD. what are they gonna release over the next 7 years. they have a contract for the next x amount of years so yes they are gonna milk what they can over that time frame.same with the live dvds why would that be on a release that is about his music videos. i know fans want everything now but thats not how it works.the what more can i give etc videos probably involve copyright issues etc so thats why they arent included.its not as simple as just putting what ever you want on it

Exactly! I'm a little disappointed about Ghosts not being the full version, BUT I'm almost certain that we will see it released by itself on DVD later on. It will probably include the making of. Just the movie alone is 40 minutes, so of course it will have its own release.
Also, I understand fans wanting the live concerts, and we will be getting those too. Smooth has already told us about the Bad one. I really, really hope we get some of the rehearsal footage because the rehearsal footage from the Dangerous tour is my favorite MJ stuff ever. I LOVE it!!
The charity singles have many other artists on them, not just Michael, so that would be an issue for putting it on this set. Also, they are not really music videos, so I don't think they should be on it anyway.
The one with Eddie Murphy is just a silly song with floating hearts and stuff, lol, that only fans would even care to see. I don't think it should be on the set.

I think I've covered all the complaints about what's NOT on the set.
As far as already having all of the videos on other DVDs, I do have the other DVDs. But one of them you have to flip over to the other side to play all the other videos, and not all of these videos are included. I don't have Moonwalker on a proper DVD so it will be nice to have Come Together and Leave Me Alone on this set. The prison version of TDRCAU is one I don't have either. Also, it will be nice to have APOM in good quality on a DVD too.

I just think it's a good idea to put out all of his music videos on one set like this for collectors, new fans, and just people who want every video and don't want to have to go through all of their DVDs to find each video and with bonuses. It's also a great price for all you get!! It will come out before the new album with new material, so it will be great promotion for that. I'm very excited and happy about it!! :clapping::wild:

I guess it depends where you buy it from (Anttila may have it cheaper than Sokos for example), but I'd think it's going to be around that number.

I think SONY is Planning a Ghosts only DVD / bluray with maybe somne bonus making off's .... If they will do that they will earn more money again.... ;)

The Lost Child, the one sold at CdJapan is same as the one at michaeljackson.com and hmv, but it's just extremely overpriced in Japan. So you're fine with your order, but I am curious what the 'clear o-card' is :).

What I understand by 'limited' is that the cover has lenticular (the gold one with all the 3D images) and includes the 60-page book. This packaging probably will be on the marked for a short time, just untill all of them are sold, that's what I think though. It's like the re-releases of Off the wall, Thriller, Bad and Dangerous from 2001, cause today you almost can't find any of them with a cardsleeve, while back in 2001 you could purchase them with cardsleeve.

I think the brown (regular) one (probably without a book) is more targeted at the casual music lover who doesn't care about the packaging. BUT another theory is that the brown one does not exist (yet) and that it's just a simple image used by the shops to advertise Vision. And the stupid thing is that the shops don't descripe what you will get, so I can't check if they are actually selling the lenticular cover edition.

---All of the short films have been meticulously restored and remastered for the ultimate audio and visual experience...

The key word here is "meticulously" which means extremely careful which is a good thing because they took there time with that. I can't wait to see the videos in GREAT quality! :D

This I agree, though. While I think this box is a pretty awesome release, I agree that we *also* should have a new live release. I know quite a few people that started enjoying MJ and were in awe after watching the "Live in Bucharest" DVD.

Bad Tour. Now. Make it happen, Estate!
And just for... *ahem* "convenience", it should be in a package with shows from the Victory, Dangerous and HIStory tours (and, of course, in a great price like this box - after all it should be aimed at everyone, from the "casual guy" to the "hardcore fan"). Now that would be an exciting release for anyone/everyone... I guess. People just enjoy to complain every single time. "But I already have all those concerts in amateur-ish awful quality!!! ZOMG SONY SUCKS"

:D The bold part really made me LOL. It's so true though. They would complain about not having the prison version of TDCAU or not having OMC still, etc.

I did check that word, had never heard it before, and it sounded like something good to me too

We just have to hope for the best, that Sony will do this right

Euhm, as much as I agree with you that we should be glad with what we get this time, Bad was already complete on HIStory on film vol. 1 dvd version. Or what was missing?

I was talking about the credits in the end. They are missing on History.
