Ohhh my god has mj have made too much money so far after his death? I can say hell yeah!!! I heard some of my mj friends have it already.... so far.... I think I'm going to get myslef in thats in case because I love MJ!!!

Don't you understand I'm not complaining about Michael? Michael deserves respect for all he has done for us. So Sony has to respect his work, including one of the most beautiful videos he has ever made, Smooth Criminal. He deserves that, don't you think?

I agree with you, today Smooth Criminal doesn't deserve to be censored as it was in 1988 (no big booty rap videos at the time, remember?).

i dont talk about the remix... I know you mean the official version shown on tv. i was refering to them deciding to include the remix in this release. i prefer the tv vesion too. And the 8mm version, i think no one has it beside the director himself.
I think any 13min version will be good. the differences are stupid talking between Michael and Chris, and something in the ending dancebreak, plus the rest is mostly end credits. mostly noting importand

false, the difference is different footage... 1. mike and chris in the restaurant, and before the song starts. 2. more footage (18 sec.) before the song starts. 18 sec. missing of footage.
I know, but the restaurant sceene is silly to me, so i didn't miss it in number ones dvd at all.

I happy to have Apom, tdcau (prison) finaly in true HQ and omc of course. the rest not importand to me.
Speed demon, Come together and LMA are nice bonus for those how don't have the Moonwalker dvd/blu-ray.

Because it dosnt bother me how long smooth criminal is because we allready have it on like 3 dvds ... u will get 40 High quality videos including a brand new one .. and u are mad cuz SC isint how u want it to be .. Do u honestly think Sony Music will do something to hurt MJ after his death? and please dont bring up the things happening back in 2001 cuz thats very old.

Disc 3 is the bonus disc so I guess that's why it's short.

My point is you don't know me and you like to judge people who don't think the way you do. Any critic seems like an attack against MJ to you. You know why? Because you don't even want to take the time to know what we're talking about. It is much more easy to say that I'm a not a good fan like you are. Isn't it?

I don't care about the full ghosts.
We have the HD (720p and 1080i) versions for download in 2000 watts.

If it's released on the vision dvd we 1: can't share it anymore because it's officially released and 2: we have to watch the crappy dvd quality version while we know there's already a hd version.

I'll buy the vision dvd-set just for the collection.

No seriously I don't care either about this one minute in SC, I mean I have the full version on the Moonwalker Blu ray in HD so why should I care about this version here? I have Michael's vision from this short film and besides if he wouldn't have liked the shorter version do you really think it would have been released in the first place?;)

This time I care more about the quality as I'm going to spend another 30 bucks on stuff that I mostly already have. And considering the teaser the quality of the videos really improved a lot:) Sharper and more colorful, I think we will really see the difference;) And there's other stuff in the trailer such as the HIStory teaser and a snippet from the pepsi commericals from 93 or something I think so maybe there's going to be more footage on the DVD than claimed in the press release;) I mean on the Dangerous DVD there is also other stuff besides the short films and it's just mentioned on the back of the case so who knows^^

Well, you know, I also have Moonwalker the movie and I can watch the original version of Smooth Criminal whenever I want. So it's not for me that I would like to see the long version of the short film on this new DVD set, but for the public who don't really know MJ yet. Michael Jackson has a huge public but only a few real fans if we compare. But everybody has to see his videos as they were made, not only the fans who buy everything. And the DVD set, because it looks very good, will be the first DVD that the public will buy to know who MJ was. It will become a classic, I'm sure, because it looks excellent. So it has to show MJ's work exactly as it was done by him, I think it's important. This is the only thing I was trying to say here. But some people say it's disrespectful. What can I do? lol

About the shorter version, if Michael knew it, I'm sure he didn't like it. I can't talk for him of course but we all know what a perfectionnist he was. Unfortunately Sony did a lot of things that Michael didn't like to approuve in the past (the Bad album cover, the remixes on the B sides of the Dangerous singles and on Blood On The Dancefloor, just to name a few examples). So he was used to this kind of concessions he had to make with Sony. And I'm sure the edit version of Smooth Criminal is one of these examples.

It was made to be seen as it is in Moonwalker. The public should watch it like that.

I know it's not easy for most of the fans in here because they are not used to real discussions. But it's good to be able to talk even when we don't agree with each other. It's always good to get different points of view.

I really understand your point, I'd rather have them watching the full version too, but in this case I think you don't have to worry;) People will be amazed anyway when they see the SC video. You have to consider that they don't know the full version so they won't notice the difference and most of them pay attention to his dancing anyway;) You might have a bad feeling when you watch the shortened version because you know it's cut but other people don't know so in this case MJ's reputation as a genius won't be harmed:) And I think he approved it, I mean you're right Sony has made some decisions against his will in the past but his art was never touched. The remixes for example were simply something new, they were labeled as remixes so the credit doesn't go to Mike but to someone else and the song as he wanted it to be is still available on all his records. In the case of the SC video his art was touched and I don't think that he would let Sony do that without his approval. But it's just my guess;) And the thing with the Bad cover wasn't in the days of Sony but Epic and as far as I know Mike had two covers he wanted to have, the cover as everyone knows it and another one so he could get the cover he wanted either way.
So I wouldn't worry too much if was you, people will be amazed when they see the video, trust me;)

This is a pretty good set really. There's loads of videos on this which have never been released on DVD before: TDCAU prison version, Why, SOOML, Say Say Say, Bad (full length), YRMW (full length), Cry... And One More Chance!!!

I'm a bit confused here about the SC video. The version on Vision says that it's 9mins 27sec... that's not the same as the version we have on the HIStory DVD, is it?
