I still think it MUST be michael because why should they use an impersonator or anyone else when there are hundreds of songs ready to finish for an album ;)

but i just want to know the REASON why he sounds different there, did they change his voice with effects or something, because the fact is it sounds different FOR SURE!! :agree:

Just listened to it. The worst fake ever. KYHU sounds a lot like MJ, i still think it can be MJ. BN is fake, but some parts sounds like MJ. Monster is, however, totally fake. I also hope that MJ didn't wrote the instrumental, as it is terrible. Whoever decided to put this on album surely doesnt know a shit about what's quality.

MJ5, just try to not think about "why would they do this". Remove the thoughts. Then listen to the cascio songs, and some other Jason Malachi songs.

Nobody really knows exactly how many finished or close to finished songs there are. We're told there's a lot, but then the only people who really know are the ones sifting through it. If there's so many songs, then why are they putting a remix of a song Mike already finished and released on this album?

There is a longer snippet, where bits do sound like MJ. Like they are from a demo. But the lead vocals are certainly not Michael's to me.

I wonder how some of you would react if they had put some of Jason Malachi's songs like 'Mamacita' on the album. If they had put that on a Michael Jackson album and told you they had done tests, you would believe that was Michael as well.

I am really sick of the theory that we have been influenced by The Jacksons opinion as well. I dont go around saying 'Oh, you only believe it is Michael because blah blah blah'. I just respect that is your opinion.

So please dont offer alternative explanations for why we feel this way.

The song 'Carry On' was in that folder, I actually assumed it was going to be a Cascio track before listening to it. I heard it and pretty much concluded that IT WAS Michael, thinking it was a Cascio track. It just so happens that it turned out to not be a Cascio track. What a coincidence. That every song which isnt a Cascio song sounds like Michael. But every song that is, sounds fake to many.

but do you really think they would put songs on a new album where michael isnt singing??!!

i just want to know WHY it sounds so different as it still must be our michael ;)

Exactly Pentum, even if there are always some little different opinions.
But with Monster, some people who were not decided are changing their mind and think it's not a good thing to release this fake work now. They realize.
 
I also love how people completely forget that we haven't heard an uptempo song from Michael Jackson in, what, like 10 years?

We havent heard a a fast song from Michael in 10 years? How do you explain Keep Your Head Up sounding dodgey then?
 
The difference between WAV, mp3, compressed audio on Youtube doesn't make one iota of difference to me. I hear the same thing.
 
MONSTER was not recorded for Invincible!! From what has been shared it was recorded in 2006...

and SHOUT is Michael and was leaked years ago.. I like the song but also feel its a bit repetitive
 
Shout was officially released on the Cry single. It's not my favorite but it sounds like a masterpiece after all of this.

Well, with my bad english and in general I'm not a person that is good with words.
But, yeah, sometimes I hear them from another person that expresses what I hear.
And no, that's not the same thing as letting someone convince me...

It is the word "effects" that I couldn't find myself (!) and yes, in BN and Monster Michael's voice is so "worked on" with all kinds of effectmaking techniques... that it doesn' sound anymore as his natural voice.
Oh I can hear it so clearly, where they (whoever they are) "sculptured" it, where they added "electronical" "spice" and when they even did some trick with the vibrato... it is incredibely clear when things are artificially worked... B u t that d o e s n 't m e a n that the v o i c e b e l o n g s to s o m e o n e e l s e, n o ! I hear Michael's voice with phantasy effects. I even like it still as it's only on a couple of songs... but no more, then it would get really boring...

As a matter of "ef-fect" I even like BN v e r y much!!!!! Not Monster, simply because it is a style of song I like less, but it's still OK with me.

I can imagine very well that fans drooling for Thriller-and-Bad-Michael can't appreciate those (voice-)sound effects.... It must be easier for fans who like the Invincible album...

I think this song is MJ, I also think Breaking News is MJ and Keep your Head up is MJ.

I have said before that i think we are hearing a guide vocal that has been manipulated in the track and brought to completion with backing vocals.

Some people have used the demos we have heard of other records as examples that MJ's voice has never sounded so 'flat' and that he always sang with passion. What you are assuming is that MJ only created one demo when a song was fully formed. I would suggest that MJ probably had all kinds of recordings lying around when a song came to him - all at various stages of completion. The demos we have heard included on the ultimate collection and special editions and leaked to the web are all more complete demos, later in the process.

For the record, I think his voice on these songs sounds good, different but good.

Now the question is why would Sony pick these tracks that require work ahead of something as brilliantly complete as Blue Gangster? I think the reason for this is that Sony wanted some tracks on the album representative of his final work even if it was very incomplete. I for one am happy for that. They are also looking to make money and are spreading out the quality of tracks over the course of multiple albums.

What irritates me slightly is people who believe that they can tell MJs voice without any doubt. If I took MJs voice in a computer altered pitch and tone and chopped it around would you know if it was MJ? No of course not. If MJ woke up one day took a tape recorder and made strange sound that he had never put on record before would you know it was him?

The point is, just because MJ never pronounced a word a certain way in one of his earlier songs, doesn't mean he wouldn't do it in one of his new song. MJ playing around with his vocals, trying new things doesn't sound beyond the realms of possibility.

Im not telling people to like the songs, music is subjective, but I would ask everyone to at least except that these vocals could be MJ. If you then except that, then it is not far from the realms of possibility that Sony could be telling the truth and not committing fraud.

There are those who claim that Mj would never write a song like this, or that Mj wouldn't have included those lyrics, or that a song sounds like a boy band or this artist or that artist. That I believe is music snobbery in the extreme, all styles and types of music have a place and a value equal to that of Michael Jackson. MJ may be my preference or your preference but it is not to everyones taste. There is no reason why MJ would not have experimented with other styles, other lyrics.

I am sorry I have written so much, I just feel that there is a reasonable discussion to be had here that is being lost in the petty squabbling. I just think people need to open their mind. Perhaps I am wrong and Sony are screwing us over with fakes, but i can not see any logical reason for it.
