Yes, but with the court approval. I wonder if Katherine opinion is taken into account or she has to do what executors and court tell her to do? I dont't believe she wants to sell the house. What is the necessity for doing it? I remember in her interview with Oprah she said she would never sell it because it was Michael's house. He rebuilt it, he lived there. So much history and so much memories that house keeps. It's obvious Katherine would never sell it. Either she is forced to do it (for a strange reason) or the news is pure lie.

I can't believe the court would approve the sale of the house that Michaels' beneficiaries were living in if they did not want it sold.
 
the estate has to provide a home not homeS for the beneficiaries. so from a legal point if she asks to live in a more luxurious house the estate has the right to keep or sell the Encino house. My opinion she wants BOTH houses. I have no doubt she already has plans to make money of it and she's probably super pissed Branca is ruining them .
 
I suppose if Michael´s mother don´t want the Encino house to be sold she could just live there with the children and not live in another house and keep the Encino house for special occasions.
 
Once and for all, Kathrine does not own Hayvenhurst. The estate does.

well it seems she has changed her mind as she said she wanted to move a few months back.either that or she wants to eat the cake aswell as have it. ie wants a brand new house and wants to keep hay. she cant have it both ways.the estate will already be shelling out unnecessary money on a new home after doing up hay.so they arent gonna pay for two
 
Communication doesn't seem very open in this family, I wouldn't be surprised if KJ is in agreement but blames the estate so she doesn't have to feel the wrath from her family..... maybe
 
I think Michael got all talent and all intelligence from all the children. Seems like only a ery little amount went to the other siblings!

Yes that could well be the case and seems consistent. Blaming the estate is a convenient way of deflecting conflict in the family.

So they can sell the house at the best price for the market. It's the same reason why people flip old houses even if they are relatively good condition.

It is not weird at all. Good renovations increase the value of the property. The house is pretty old and surely has to be updated.

The renovation was made for Kathrine and the kids. At that time it was the intention that after the renovation Kathrine and the kids come back to Hayvenhurst.
But then Kathrine changes her minds and suddenly mentions in interviews that she doesn´t want come back.
 
I am sorry but if she doesn't want to live there anymore then sell the house. It makes no sense to deal with 2 houses. If Jermaine wants it so badly then go buy it from the estate. Ask janet or whoever to help. I think she is the only one that could buy it to keep in the family.
 
Look like they are going before the judge for approval on September 28. One request to sell a property and one to buy a replacement residence for the benficiaries.

It's not HER HOUSE, it's MJ kids house. She and the Estate can agree to sell it, the money will go to the Estate so for MJ kids.

 
Whatever happens I hope that P,P&B are happy with the outcome.
