Michael Jackson's Grammy Tribute Goes Beyond Remembering His Music, Reinforces His Message

All the music-themed award shows have paid their respects to Michael Jackson with heartfelt tributes. But the Grammys topped them all Sunday night because they not only displayed the King of Pop's music but captured the sentiment of one of the issues closest to his heart--saving the planet. .

Then for the shocking finale, Jackson's two eldest children, Prince Michael II and Paris, accepted the Grammys' Lifetime Achievement on their father's behalf. (Michael's youngest son, Prince III aka "Blanket," remained backstage.)

Another #1 for MJ.,And great news for iPad users;

Devotion -- an Unauthorized Tribute to Michael Jackson Scheduled for Release on the iPad.

Metatron Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MRNJ) today announced that its i-Mobilize subsidiary has scheduled the release of the Michael Jackson tribute movie "Devotion" on the iPad, iPhone and iTouch platforms, under a license from Infinity Entertainment Group. This is the first of over 5,000 titles that the company will release in High Definition format for the iPad. The new HD app is currently under review and should hit the iTunes app store next week.

Devotion is a multi-faceted and personal look at Michael Jackson's rise to the top and how he conquered the world, changed music forever, fell from grace and shocked us all with his departure on the eve of history's biggest come-back tour. From his musical debut at the age of four to his sudden, tragic death in 2009, Michael Jackson remained one of the world's most successful, influential, and beloved pop stars. This unauthorized biography charts the singer's eventful -- and sometimes controversial -- life and career through interviews with friends, family, and colleagues, delving into such topics as his charity work, his moving memorial service, and his permanent spot as a tabloid fixture.

Pretty interesting..., if every month at least 500k albums was sold, several millions would be sold this year....

And that means other income = millions of dollars + This Is It DVD/BR... maybe a new album...

Id like to know how much money Michael has earned since 2009...., Id say it over 400 mill.....

^The estate has earned millions of dollars. From my knowledge, a rough estimate of total earnings since MJ's death are:

-Album royalties: $100 million
-Radio airplay royalties: $50 million
-Digital Downloads: $10 million
-Music DVD Royalties: $40 million
-TII Theatrical Release: $100 million
-TII MTV Cable Rights: $30 million
-Memorabilia: $50 million
-Sony/ATV Earnings: $40 million

TOTAL= $420 million

PLUS Still to come...

TII DVD Release= I am expecting the DVD will end up selling 3.5 to 4 million copies in the US this year, plus another 6 to 7 million globally for a total of 10-11 million copies sold. (Let's say 10 for arguments sake) $10 (Estates share) X 10,000,000= 100,000,000

Thus DVD Earnings for TII should be well over $100 million.

Add in 2010 album sales, a possible cirque du soleil show, merchandise sales, radio airplay, sony/atv revenue, and the estate will be earning HUGE revenue again (north of $250 million).

Plus news reports were saying that MJ's debt was whipped out around November. And His debt was widley reported at $400 million for as long as I can remember.

So this sounds very accurate.

The debts were just like an media illusion.

There has never been the so-called 400 mill. debt, and my sources claimed that in 2008 MJs debts were cut back on 150 mill....

The exact number has never been known..., the fact is that any debt can not be mathematically erased so easy by the income from selling albums and This is It movie...

Michael Jackson's "This Is It" DVD has estimated to sold around astonishing 1.2 million units in it's first week.

"The concert film about the late Michael Jackson's comeback tour, This Is It, was a top box office hit in 2009, and in the first week released to the home video market, the DVD and Blu-ray Disc shot to number one in sales.

The film sold an estimated 1.2 million copies, according to Home Media Magazine market research. It claims to be the record for the first-week of a music film."

"The King of Pop Michael Jackson continues to break records months after his death. His concert film “This Is It” took the No. 1 spot this week in DVD sales, selling an estimated 1.2 million copies!
