To answer the question above, yes Jermaine was close to Michael when they were little. Michael looked up to him as a big brother. Michael was devastated when Jermaine left and went to Gordy. In his book he claims how he felt about the space that Jermaine always took on his side on stage. Tito mentioned how he had to comfort Michael when they had to go on stage the first night without Jermaine. It seems that Michael was very attached to his brothers. Tito was like the dad because they were always on the road. As the brothers left and got married Michael felt the gap. Remember he did not have close friends, so the brothers were significant to the little kid.

I really think his book is going to do better than Latoya's. Even though I am not going to buy it, to those of you who do, I hope you enjoy it. I also hope that Jermaine makes his brother proud.

Dear Petra ?:hug:, none of us should really be hopeful with the Jerma.... Unfortunately that's not how Michael's family works. In the end... they always disappoint us in some way... ALWAYS! :doh: I lost all hope with this family.

Jermaine does do interviews better than Latoya. He doesn't make Michael look weak like the others do. I am not saying everything he says is true but he does do a better job at it. If the book is about Michael it should be positive. I hate the books that are negative and portray Michael in unfair way. I hope someone will update us what is in the book. I am bit curious lol.

How will Jermaine know Michael's 'mental state' or his health before his death, when he had little interaction with him during those final months? The people who worked and rehearsed with Michael for TII can probably give a better insight than Jermaine. Then, how can he call his, 'unrivalled'? Is he going to quote secondary sources like Latoya?

I wish he'd stick to the Michael of the Jackson Five days. I am not liking the sound of this at all. It's sounding more and more like the second coming of Latoya's book. I don't need to know Michael's last days from Latoya, Jermaine or any other family member who had minimal contact with him during that time.

Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine has revealed a plan to secretly fly his sibling to Bahrain if he was found guilty of child molestation charges, it was reported.
The 56-year-old said a private jet financed by a friend was on standby to whisk the pop star to the Persian Gulf state, which does not have an extradition treaty with the US, if Michael had been convicted at the end of his 2005 court case.
In an interview with The Times Magazine, Jermaine said: "If they were going to sit and crucify my brother for something that he didn't do, America deserves us not to come back here.
"At the end of the day, this is supposed to be the land of the brave, home of the free, democracy, freedom of speech.
"The way they were treating him, none of that existed. Why should he go to jail for something he didn't do?"
Jermaine, a former Jackson 5 member, said his younger brother was not aware of the escape plot but would have agreed to flee America "in a heartbeat" because he would have not survived in jail.
The global star, who died in June 2009, was accused of molesting 13-year-old Gavin Arvizo, conspiring to kidnap him and his family and giving him alcohol, but was found not guilty of all charges following a four-month trial.

I have to say the bold part really pissed me off. This reminds me that lots of people wanted MJ to be guilty so they can report everything and every move of him in jail...............Gosh this is sick. and now again.. Jermaine wanted us to image if that really happened? Jesus..... This also reminds me that there are rumors that J family wanted to do reality show and lots of interview talking about the cases during that time. SIGH~~~~~~~~

Again, most of the members in these family rarely have contacts with MJ in the past 2 decades. Many of them admitted that in interviews. Now, some of them release books want to talk about the mental status and MJ's relationship with women or whatever when they barely saw him? What a big joke. Jermaine should just stick with the old motown times. I would be more interested to know those good old time and might will to buy the book. Why I want to buy a book with information we don't even know is true or not?

I was going to say the same thing!!!! How does he know of Michael's mental state!!! None of the family was around Michael close to his death. They had a party for their parents and that was it. They can only tell newspapers and media these things because fans know better than that. Here we are back to the original question: What percent of Jermaine's book is true and what percent is things he made up in his mind? What is Jermaine's mental state?

PS: another thing that pissed me off--the escape plan. Thank God Michael did not know of this and Michael would never have agreed to a plan like that. Next, as soon as Michael was convicted, they would have taken him into custody. At least that is the way it is done most times. The prosecution was already hinting that Michael was a flight risk due to alleged money problems, so they would have kept an eye on him. Jermaine has been looking at too many movies on TV.

What does he mean by "America deserves us not to come back." Who is going to miss Jermaine. Now Michael is another thing. Many will miss him, but notice Jermaine adds us.

Epic FAIL! Why in hell would Jermaine even give the media such a stupid story/"plan" that Mj himself did not even know about? MJ would have never tried to flee! He stood up in court like a man to the end and he would have done the same if the unfortunate would have happen in the end!

Be sides that would have been impossible to accomplish given who MJ is and T-Mez wouldn't have let something like that happen, period!

I have a hard time believing what Jermaine wrote. He wants to make people believe he was MJ's backbone when he wasn't.

after lying about a simple thing as the incident at the beach, I have a hard time believing the DC-8 "plan B" ...or anything else he writes about.

And the fact that he is blaming "others" for MJ's pulling away from the family, proves the still don't get "it"....even two years later.

I blame the Jacksons almost as much as Conrad murray, the Chandlers & the Arvizos...for MJ's death. But it saddens me that even after MJ paid the ultimate price, they still refuse to acknowledge their own role in his demise.

Got a copy of the times today The 3 page interview by Andrew Billen of JJ is peppered with the usual subtle, snidey, disparaging commentary on MJ (by the interviewer not JJ). JJ, and i'm not a fan of his, really does his best to defend his brother from all the attacks on him - the allegations, the vitaligo, the gay rumours, the drug addiction. However he's dealing with a media that is going to take every opportunity to twist and sensationalise. I think they are going to run with the info that JJ gave about having a plane ready to spirit MJ away if there had been guilty verdicts. How this would happen i don't know, as i thought if MJ got guilty verdicts on 13 June he would have immediately been taken into custody. Also the fact JJ says mj didn't know of this hare-brained scheme will get lost. It will just look as if MJ, a big powerful celebrity, was ready to evade US 'justice' (we know it wasn't justice but not the man in the street).

The extracts from the book, taken from different parts of MJ's life are heartbreaking. The sense of dread in that house in gary caused by joe's brutality and the scene in the hospital when MJ was recovering from a back injury during the trial - 'pijama day'. Actually after reading it, i would have been ready to commission a private jet to get MJ out of the USA, but i would prob have kept that information to myself.
