Jermaine Jackson Concert to Include Special Dedication to Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson

Let that dude have his concert and tribute to his brother if that's what he wants to do. That was his BROTHER, he was closer to Michael than ANYONE ON THIS BOARD. Y'all stay hating but I didn't see any of you on stage with Michael on his left playing your bass. He was a part of the legacy of the Jackson name, that is a fact.

Jermaine's quite talented and had quite a few hits during his solo career. Just because he wasn't like stratosphere status like Michael was doesn't mean he has no talent at all.

Anyhoo, if he was in NYC I'd go, but I'm saving my money for the Cirque show in Vegas in 2012. I wish Jermaine good luck. I hope it goes well.

In my opinion, Jermaine should "maybe" start out on his OWN merits.

Similar to how Tito does his shows. I mean, we all know that Tito has a portion of his shows dedicated to MJ and the J5 days, but Tito doesn't really make a big deal out of it. He just DOES it! Which I find refreshing. Tito's shows are about Tito Jackson and his OWN style of music. That's where the main focus is and that's probably why you never hear anybody saying that Tito is trying to be Michael.

I do find it interesting that Jermaine mentioned in the clip that "he is NOT trying to be Michael." LOL! I'm "guessing" that he may have heard some of the feedback that has been circulating lately.

""Can You Feel It," "Let's Get Serious," "Beat It," "A-B-C," "Man In The Mirror" and "I'll Be There""

Did anyone else notice that only one song mentioned is actually his?

Well the Jackson 5 songs are as much his as they are his brothers who were in the group. I hope he does some of his solo stuff like "bass odyssey" "do what you do" "daddy's home' "dynamite" "that's how love goes"

he should be sticking to HIS songs, like Word to Badd and that world famous song Dynamite

LMAO!! NEver laughed as much as I did while watching Jermaine in his Michael costume, omg he wants to be Michael real bad.

DOUG ELFMAN: Tribute to Jackson set for Saturday

Sep. 28, 2010

In the 1970s, The Jackson 5 played two shows a day in Las Vegas. The Jackson kids were too young to hang out in the casino. And video game consoles hadn't been invented yet.

So what did that leave them to do all day and night?

"Room service," Jermaine Jackson says, plus board games and tutoring.

Three decades later, Michael Jackson returned to Vegas to live in a sultan's mansion. He also was a fan of the Luxor's Egyptian theme.

This Saturday, Jermaine returns to Vegas, to Planet Hollywood, to stage a tribute concert to Michael.

Jermaine, amiable and soft-spoken during a lunch break Monday at Rumor, says it's still hard to deal with Michael's death. "Being a brother you grow up with, you (playfully) slapped on, you shared triple-bunk beds. And all of a sudden, he's gone. When I think about it, my mind goes blank," Jermaine says.

Because a swirl of legal drugs was involved in Michael's death at age 50, I ask Jermaine whether his family has thought about doing anti-drug activism.

"We've done some of that stuff in the past. But it is important to catch 'em in their early teens because you hear what's going on -- even with young people in Hollywood," says Jermaine, 55, who insists he doesn't drink (or gamble).

"I don't want to name names, because they're young and they have so much going for themselves. I don't know if they can help it. It is not cool to be like that.

"The way we were taught (in the Jackson family): Don't do nothin' you're not supposed to do," he says. "I wish I could share some of my upbringing in how we were talked to and how we stayed away from that.

"I don't really understand drugs or what drugs are. And I like it like that. I'm very ignorant when it comes to that."

Jermaine, who sang with Michael in those high-pitched Jackson 5 hits, plans to sing Michael songs in the vocal register people are used to.

"It's gonna sound exactly (as) what you've heard," he says.

That will go for "Human Nature," "Beat It," "You Are Not Alone" and other Michael hits, plus Jackson 5 tunes and Jermaine's singles such as "Do What You Do."

"We're just trying to tell a story through the show. I'm sharing some memories," he says. "I talk about being at Neverland (Ranch), and what it was like -- the feeling we all got through the chance to relive our childhood, because it was a place for children to come and have fun, who were terminally ill."

Brother Jackie Jackson still lives in Vegas, and the Jackson patriarch and matriarch have a home here, although sisters have moved from here to Los Angeles, Jermaine says.

Jermaine never saw Vegas as a potential home because of "people walking the streets with beer" hanging around their necks, he says with a laugh.

"This place is like no place in the world. It's amazing. But I'm more low-key. I'm quiet."

Yes, the Luxor is pretty cool from the inside as well as out with its pyramid shape. Having visited Las Vegas 3 times I can now understand why Michael loved it. All the incredible architecture, glitz and gaudiness. I wonder if he was obsessed with all the ornate and lavish public bathrooms there as I was, heh!

"This place is like no place in the world. It's amazing. But I'm more low-key. I'm quiet."

I guess Jermaine isn't aware that there are quiet suburban type neighborhoods off the strip, LOL. I love Vegas but I wouldn't want to live there because of all that hot weather.

I think Katherine will be there tomorrow with her grandkids and a few of the brothers.

It will be nice if the whole family comes like they did for Tito when he played BB King's. But that setting was more intimate while this arena seats 7,000.

Apparently Michael's children will be there

Great. Watching him make a fool out of himself should be pretty rewarding. I dislike his music and I think his musical abilities are mediocre at best. Still, this should be fun to watch. I wonder who'll show up...

I never know what to think of Jermaine, I like some of his songs, but his arrogance is what usually kills things for him. He never had talent as a real performer because he was behid his bass all the time...though somehow Tito can rock a show like it's nothing...If this was a show put on by Marlon or Randy, I'd no, cause both of them had great talent as dancers and singers.

Some on twitter say that the show was an hour late. Of seven thousand seats only sold three hundred.

"AliciaJacobs: all 3 Jackson kids just took their seats in the theatre....showtime...film crew following the kids & other family members."

Oh god....

if the camera team was there, I assume we'll have another reality show. This time Jermaine Jackson show.
Don't like her, but haven't found any other info abt how was the show:
