LAS VEGAS, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Jermaine Jackson, founding member of the Jackson 5 and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, performs in concert October 2, 2010, at 8 p.m. in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino's Theatre of Performing Arts. Celebrating 40 years as a recording artist, Jackson will perform his fans' favorite songs and present a loving tribute in song to his brother Michael, the Jackson 5 and the Jackson family.


Jackson leads an eleven piece band, three background vocalists and six dancers in an electrifying concert that delivers such chart-topping hits as "Can You Feel It," "Let's Get Serious," "Beat It," "A-B-C," "Man In The Mirror" and "I'll Be There". Jackson's ensemble includes three of his children, Jeremy on guitar along with Autumn and Jermaine Jr. on vocals. Jackson proudly refers to his children as "the next generation of Jacksons." The band, conducted by musical director Rex Salas, will be wrapped in a multimedia presentation to include cherished Jackson family photos and videos.

See Jermaine, you could have been doing this 15-20 years ago, instead of waiting for Michael to join you in a J5 reunion. Oh well, I guess better late than never!

I agree with those who say that "maybe" Jermaine should stick with his own music catalog, but deep down inside, I truly believe that Jermaine wants to be Michael so I guess it's just par for the course that he "tries" to sing some of Michael's hits.

Hopefully he won't get ripped too badly, when he "tries" to create Michael's dance steps. LOL!

I've just checked the website and it still says coming soon.

The guys who won must be pretty pissed. They all put in so much effort to win that chance at performing and now absolutely nothing's come of it. They shouldn't have promised them that if they didn't know it was definitely going ahead.

I "think" the problem with a tribute organized by Jermaine Jackson is that no A-Lister wants to be a part of it. (I'm sure he can get a bunch of nobodies to join in, but shoot who wants to pay top dollar to see a bunch of nobodies.)

When Jermaine first made his announcement for a tribute in Vienna, it appeared that nobody of interest really wanted to be involved and then the DISASTER that followed ensured that he would never be able to get A-List entertainment on board with his tribute plans.

That's just my opinion.

Jermaine has been performing for 40 years as an artist? if one has'nt been a recording or performing artist consistently, then the above statement should not be used in relation to them and what fans are they talking about? Jackson 5 fans?

Nothing planed by Jermaine has happened. First Vienna, then London, then Jackson 5 reunion during Dynasty – words, words, words… All he could do is performing “You Are Not Alone” in Michael-a-like pants.

Shame, this guy really had talent, he could do his thing instead of living past fame. Jacksons were successfully even without him. Without Michael it wasn’t the case:)

Yeah, something is definitely up with this whole "announcement."

When you click on the press release link, it says: Sorry, the page you are looking for cannot be found."

In my opinion, folks "may" put these types of FAKE releases out there to see if there is any interest. Then you can bring the results to a particular venue and say: "see there is interest for this concert." Sometimes that type of method works, sometimes it doesn't.
 
Hmm, it's still on the prnewswire link as well as Jermaine's link. Like alot of people, I'll believe it when it actually happens. :popcorn:
 
The saying Action speaks louder then words has probably never appeared in Jermain's dictionary. I don't know him, so I don't want to say anything bad or whatever. But I do feel sorry for the winners of 'My name is Michael'. In Holland this little boy won, an amazing dancer and totally amazed by Jermaine Jackson being there. What does this teach him about people......

Jermaine has a nice voice! IMO it's better he tribute his brother and have similar style clothing in tribute then someone like Justin beaver....u know what I mean! lol

He is blood he was in the group with MJ! He doesn't call MJ a drug addict and all that! He blames Murray and others for MJs death! Yea he did say negative shit about MJ too like Latoya! But, MJ forgave them and they corrected themselves and they do love him and he loved them!

I just can't keep on hating on them when there are worst people that hurt MJ greater! And we know who they are! Let the Jacksons continue helping MJ legacy for it is they who share his last name and also have more responsibility and pray that they do it right?!! I know it's hard with some of the things they say and do....SMH! But, their his family and their ain't crap we can do about it!

So let's focus on the real mother f*ckers who got away with what they did to MJ!
