You can't ignore the elephant in the room. She will be asked about Mike for the next year, there's not getting around it. So some of you need to get over it. She's not using his name to promote her work, never has, never will. Calm your nerves ppl, it's not that serious.

I honestly don't see the reason why they would ask about him. It's ALWAYS the same shit.

Esp since it's already nearly 5 months after the fact. If you want to milk someone's death, you don't wait that long to do it. That's common sense.

Oh yes!! Because a woman that sold over 100 million records and has a career spanning 3 decades needs to use her brother?

Give me a break!!

Janet's the last person to do such a thing. If anything she has always respected MJ and left his name out of her mouth in interviews. She's not like Latoya nor Jermaine who live off doing interviews about MJ.

THIS. And remember how she wouldn't even do a duet with Michael until she had felt she "made it" on her own first. She didn't ever want to be thought of as using Michael to get ahead. She didn't do it then, and I'm sure she wont do it now. Janet's awesome.

ugh y 'all wanna bash family members, there's plenty of OTHER ones who are actually milking this. leave strawberry alone. damn

the only way some of you'll will get what you want (janet not to talk or being asked about MJ for the next 60 years) is if Janet completely retired from career in the entertainment industry and became a hermit in Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Jeez.... anyone that knows the Jackson family or Janet or MJ remotely knows Janet is the last person to USE her brother dead or alive or to use him to promote her career.

She has always stayed clear of ever being see in this light because of her love and respect for MJ.

It is so unreasonable. Janet may and probably doesn't want to speak about something as PRIVATE as losing her beloved brother... but she knows she will be asked questions .

I believe she will tactfully answer and leave it at that.

Because the "him" is Michael Jackson and he died only 5 months ago. It'd be really weird if they didn't ask about him.

I love Janet. I love the entire Jackson family. There are somethings that I may disagree with, however, they are who they are and dealing with what they do. I support Janet and want to see what she has to offer her/us fans, and also how the family are dealing with Mike's loss. It's funny, I jsut bought one ofher greatest hits CD's yesterday at HMV in T.O., now I come here and see this thread.

More power to you Janet, keep the dreams alive for all of us who need inspiration. Love that family.

Yes, I know that but it's not like she's going to reveal anything to us or anything we don't know already. Hint, hint the "it's ALWAYS the same shit" part ;) I prefer they didn't ask about MJ in this interview.

Of course they are going to ask her about Michael. They asked about him all the time when he was alive, so I doubt that is going to suddenly change now. I remember watching how one interview went from Janet plugging her new album to "lets talk about how crazy your older brother is." I was really surprise that Janet did not knock that fake wig off that guys head, I know I would've.

When Janet was just really starting her music career she would only do interviews if the host did not mention Michael at all. Keep in mind how hard that had to be in the 80s and early 90s. It was only after she become more secure in herself that she would even mention Michael's name on a interview. Since the subject always take the wind out of even the best interviews.

THIS.:clapping:

Unless she's specifically asked them not to ask her about him (which I doubt) u know they are gonna ask her. I have no doubt that she expects it. I also have no doubt that she will speak with nothing but love for her brother as she always has. Then she will talk about her projects her new CD and movie.

People need to get over themselves.

I'll be watching.

Me too.
And so will "they." Know what I mean?

U 2 are so right on so many levels..

The same ppl saying she shouldn't talk about her brother are the same ppl that are complaining about the Jacksons reality tv show.. U all can talk bad all you want but U all will be watching to hear what she has to say about MJ... That is HER brother, not yours, you are just a FAN and u all must know your place.. She has every right to discuss MJ. If she chooses to dedicate the whole interview to him she has that right.

If it wasn't for his family and few very close friends many of us wouldn't get anymore positive info on the man we love. So stop bitching and moaning for a few minutes and just enjoy what she may have to say about the man she loved more than we could ever imagine. From here on out we are pretty much dependent on her and a few others to give us cute little MJ stories or pictures.. If they ever read some of these comments and take some of the advice given about not speaking, then hey we wouldn't have squat to talk about that was positive...

You're wrong most interviewers asked her about her brother's in general in the 80's but that stopped after Control and in the 90's it escalated because of MJ's child molestation allegations. It wasn't till the Velvet Rope era on Oprah's couch she stopped answering questions about MJ. And the interview you're talking about is that Johnathon Ross (who's a complete ass btw) interview in the UK. But there's really no point on questions about MJ since it's always the same response from Janet ( *tugs on right ear* and mumbles something about not wanting to discuss MJ) and whoever is interviewing wouldn't be that heartless to bombard her with questions on her deceased brother. At least, I hope...

I wish she would've intervened when everyone was calling MJ a drug addict, and when the family was talking about intervention attempts when 2 years ago they were publicly denying any drug intervention
I was counting on janet to stand up for him people would've listened to her more than any other Jackson...but it's too late now
this is going to be centered around her new album, and maybe she'll mention a few memories of Michael like she did in the other interview

Janet was doing was she was suppose to do and that is to mourn. Her brother just died and I think the last thing on her mind was public relation. I wish more of the Jackson's took that stance instead of running to the nearest media camera

Michael's mother made no comment when Oxman, Joe, and Toy were forming at the mouth about drugs, intervention, so I do not see how that task falls on Janet. She also did not know at that the time what killed him, so it would had been pointless to say that he wasn't on drugs if you honestly do not know. Michael had been the subject of false rumors for so long that I think Janet learned to tune them out.

You can clearly see by looking at the VMAs and the making of the tribute that Janet is taking Michael's passing hard. She could barely look at a video of Scream without breaking into tears. I am sure that is the same reason you cannot look at TII.

It easy for us on the side to wonder why things were not done, but Janet is still a human and have the right to grieve her brother's passing without people judging what she should had done.

This. People just want someone to be angry at someone or something.

I'll be looking foreward to it...

As for those of you not watching because it's on ABC...

If I had a quarter every time some TV station aired something something bad or such about Michael, I wouldn't even watch TV for important things.

But I understand due to the Bashir thing. Sad...

why can't I say something without having someone analyze everything I say? what did I do did I attack Janet?
I was saying that because she does have more credibility than any of the Jacksons, of course she was grieving the entire family was grieving but the truth is Michael's reputation is ruined and I have no hope anymore in anything or anyone to help fix his reputation. to the Jacksons he is family but to the world he is a druggie who died by his own hand
I just wish MJ had a wife or someone really close who could tell the world who Michael really was, that was his biggest desire for the world to see who he really is so he can finally have some peace

I am not overanalyze, I am just given you the facts of the situation. Michael had been dealing with this BS for years, so why do you expect it to change after his death. Not even Michael defended himself from most of the crap said against him, despite how fan cry that he should.

From what I have seen it is really the fan who keep yelling about Michael's reputation, even when he did not seem to particular care himself. When he was alive, he could had sued all those people for slander, but he rarely did. It seems most the family is taken that stance as well and just ignoring the noise. Also, many of the greats musicians were druggies and died addicts. So, even if it was true that Michael killed himself as a drug addict, he would be in very good company and people generally do not care about that kind of stuff.

Even when Michael did put himself out there for people to learn the real him no one listen or twisted his words to mean something else. Look at Living with Michael as a reference to that.

Facts have proven that Michael was not a pedo or a druggie, if people chose to play ignorance and ignore the facts, it is on them and should not be something people lose sleep over.

On a side not, Michael's reputation is and never was ruin. That is just what the media noise has been yelling and what the public to believe. If he was so damage, he could never had sold 50 concerts at the O2 in just an hour, had so many grieving after his death, having such a large number watch his memorial, having one of the highest grossing movies of the year, and that is naming a few. Michael's legacy is set in stone, so why fight a battle you have already won.

....yeah , i CAN'T wait
she'll speak about her brother - OF COURSE
=]
but it'll be sad

Wed. can't come soon enough. P.s I hope those earrings don't weigh too much, they look major lol

She's so cute when she tugs on her right ear  she does it when ever she's nervous awww!! and I can't wait either!! 7 days left

Janet has a successful career in her own right and has worked hard at it because she didn't want to be seen as riding Michael's coat-tails. She has a loyal fan base of her own and she will not use Michael's death to her advantage. Plus, I don't think there is anything wrong with her expressing her feelings about his death. I'm sure most of us would like to hear it. It's going to happen sooner or later. She's always been very respectful towards Michael and I doubt that will change now that he's no longer on Earth.
