Jackson's brothers on Larry King

I really don't get it ...WHY? Why even have a freakin' tabloid idiot there? Who made that ridiculous decision?

She most likely got in because of her 'press' badge. Remember, all members of the media were allow in, so she was most likely sent in to represent ET or whatever show she is on now.

Really? Media was actually allowed in? Didn't Jermaine say it was a stricly family-thing , the memorial? Guess he forgot to mention the media.
It's surprising that nothing has leaked, no photos, nothing, a good thing though.

all these networks hired MJ's media enemies on purpose, so, ironically, they got into his memorial, or got to comment on him on the today show, or abc news(Bashir), or whatever. still..it would seem that the family should weed them out.

I think he was close to some of them more than others. However, like all of he most likely didn't tell them everything in his life. My brother and I are very close. I consider him my best friend, but I don't tell him everything either. Just he doesn't tell me everything.

So, some members of the family many not know Michael that well and those who do are the ones who are not really talking.

For example, I don't buy for one moment that Toy was anyway close to Michael as she is trying to suggest. Especially since Michael never mention her outside the family unit. Except to say what a fool she was in the 90s.

He did seem close to Jermaine, since he did mention him alot, fondly. He also still seem upset about Jermaine staying at Motown. His mother even said he became upset and more isolated as his brothers' married and left home.

Like any family, it is complicated.

I don't know if he was real close to Jermaine. Jermaine seemed to want to be the protector or spokesperson for him. As others have stated, during the trial he made sure they kept their mouths closed.

I was talking about the public memorial on July 7. No media person was allowed to the funeral. Only close family and 'friends'.

I am basing this purely on what Michael said himself. He said he was upset when Jermaine stood at Motown and in Moonwalk he talked about how Jermaine protected him and how he base his earlier vocal style on Jermaine's. Granted that was back in 1988, but he was close to Jermaine at one point his life. Whether they stayed close is where things get gray.

Although, Michael's breakdowns during I'll be There shows he still have strong feelings for his brothers. Despite popular belief, those breakdowns are not staged.

Iiiiim not sure about this whole Jacksons 40 album lol...for me, in my opinion, they are gonna have to do something really off the chain. Its gonna need much more than background vocals it get that "Jackson 5" magic unfortunately...

But hey, at least they're giving it a try. :p

My thinking is this. Look at the teaser for the reality show and listen to how the brothers' sound like. Then, imagine them singing their classic songs in that way. Once you do that, think how Michael sounded, by himself, singing those same songs.

Unless you have a tin ear, an interesting musical preference, or just in denial, you will see that Michael never needed his brothers.

If the J5 was never formed, most likely Michael would of been a solo star like Stevie Wonder. Pure talent like he had would never been ignored.

That is my take, anyway.

 Michael was one in a million, his brothers may have some talent, but no where near Michael's level.

I may be tired of crying but that empty space remains there and it is a constant reminder of how special he was. It reminds me of how much work we have to do to keep his memory and legacy alive. We can't let someone as special as he just disappear. I want the reminder that he is not here; that way I will never forget. I'll take every bad statement about him to heart and try to fight for his legacy. Without that void, and constant reminder I may say aww forget it. I don't want that to ever happen.

Yeah i mean i am pretty open minded, but that has shit to do with anything really indeed. I mean...my dad has been unemployed ever since i was born ,etc. But his judgement is MUCH more on point than the nurse in here, that's for sure.

It doesn't say anything....

That wasn't my point. As a nurse, we are trained to look and physically assess people. It is OBVIOUS from photos from MJ that he did have alot of work done from the Off the Wall period-Invincible. Its none of my business, but it just prove the point I was making. So whatever...

In response to suznyc's post of the article written by the NY daily new's review of the show:
It's sad, if they made a reality show where people were arguing and backstabbing each other most people would love to watch it, but since it's positive those people aren't interested. I tell you this world is just full of hate sometimes, jeez. The media is going to tear down the show because it isn't negative and they can't write really juicy stories on it.

If the show isn't a hit, I'm sure the brother's won't mind. They have a life of their own besides a reality show. I can't wait to watch it! I would love to see them in concert(I can't really get into music of today even though I'm under 25) and I'm glad that Randy will be joining them in making the album.

Most groups when they lose a member still keep the name, but the Jackson 5 has not been a group for a long time, since they went to CBS and became the Jackson's. I think if they want to be J5 then they need to be J5 even without Michael, it is wrong to be J4 (and I agree it is disrespectful) but in my opinion they should just be the Jackson's.
They won't be 4 cause randy will be part of the group too. However, I would love to see them introducing other jacksons like siggy and Auggie, like janet and Rebbie were introduced on their shows.

the J5 was a great group...but Michael made them who they were..without Michael they were nothing.....thats like if you watched them on Larry King when they showed the brothers in the studio they continued to use the name J5 but they had j5 instead of capitol J..I dont know how many people noticed that but I did..they brothers needed Michael even after the group broke up...he was their money bags...to bad it had to be that way....I dont doubt they loved Michael but they also saw him as a meal ticket.
In all honesty when Jermaine left the group the group struggled to find its feet for many years. many thought the group was finished. jermaine was even blamed for breaking up the group, J5 was never the same again without jermaine's presence in the group. And jermaine was perhaps the most popular in the group amongst teenage girls.
