It would be interesting to re do the poll to see if the results on here are any different. It will also be interesting to see if they can sell out one stadium let alone a few more in the USA.

No surprise with the next generation announcement, so many of them now have 'music careers'.

And what a surprise the Jacksons are on the bill as well.

This ain't about Michael Jackson, this is just a chance for the STRUGGLING Jackson performer's and the WANNA-BE Jackson performer's to have some type of a platform on which to perform. This is their only time to get some of the spotlight, because Lord knows nobody is interested in them.

I just feel so bad that Michael's name is attached to this low budget madness.

I look at those names and can honestly say, I'm not sure I would be interested, even if the concert was FREE. LOL!

I doubt it will be Paris, Prince or Blanket. They may speak, but not perform since none of them have expressed interest in a singing career. Little Blanket is out of question no matter what the Jacksons expect of him. He is so media shy, it just won't happen. Thank God.

More likely than that, it would be that talentless hack Genevieve with Omar Bhatti added for good measure. Austin Brown is also apt to perform.

Absolutely. Let's use Michael again, so that his success benefits the whole family. That's the Jacksons motto. You have to help your family, you have to pay for your family, you have to work with your family. Even in death, ball and chain.

Not a truer word spoken ben. I guess they are hoping ppl will spend 100's of £ off mjs name or try and make mj fans feel guilty for not going cause after all its for mj cause i dont see how they will sell 10k of tiks with that line up.

As a finally slap to the face, I wholeheartedly expect LaToya's name to be added to the list of entertainers.

I can't see her missing a chance to get up on stage and "sing," that's what she's always wanted and now MOTHER has provided her with a performance forum.

I hope fans stay away from this mess. Supporting it would just send a bad message.

There are still people rejoicing over this on the Fb page. I dont get it. Are they totally blind??

And La Tonta, of course she'll be there. There's got to be someone to parade the kids on stage.

Michael Jackson tribute line-up revealed

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Acts signed for October's tribute concert for Michael Jackson include Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green and JLS, the promoters told CNN Thursday.

Members of the Jackson family taking the stage October 8 in Cardiff, Wales, include several of Michael Jackson's brothers, "the next generation of Jacksons," and 3T :puke: :puke: :puke:, which consists of Tito Jackson's three sons.

Alternative rock band Alien Ant Farm and British R&B singer Craig David are also on the bill, while other artists will be added in the next few days, according to promoter Global Live Events.

"This announcement is just the beginning, we have many more to announce," Global Live Events executive Paul Ring said. "This concert will unite various generations and musical genres, reminding everyone of just how amazing a talent Michael was."

With the "Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert" line-up now known, fans can start "registering their interest for tickets" online at www.michaelforevertribute.com beginning Thursday, the promoter said. A lottery will determine which fans will be invited to purchase tickets, it said.

The concert in the Wales Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, which seats 75,000 people, would be at least four hours long, Global Live Events CEO Chris Hunt said.

Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson and the promoter are scheduled to discuss the show's plans in a live broadcast on CNN Monday.

after reading this I concluded that I live in a different galaxy. because where I live international stars are the likes of Madonna, U2, Lady Gaga, Eminem etc..

Hmm, just as we feared. They have very little to work with. Theyhave announced these names because they know they running out of time. They have no bigger stars signed at the moment, because if they did they would have announced them!

I am now not going to be trying to get tickets!

Let's consider the 'star power':

a) Leona Lewis and JLS are probably the biggest stars on that bill from a UK perspective and to be honest are good signings. They'll attract a fair few people in UK and Europe.

b) Cee Lo and Christina are popular too but would be second to the two already mentioned IMO.

c) Alien Ant Farm will be good for their 10 year old cover of Smooth Criminal and then Craig David who hasn't had a hit in years.

c) Then finally in last place we have Smokey Robinson (who didn't see that coming?), the Jackson brothers (ditto - their egos wouldn't allow a show to pass without them being in it), 3T (WHY??) and "the next generation of Jacksons" (probably a performance by either Austin or GJ or maybe both! Or it could be a short speech from the MJ3)

All I can say is the're going to need a bloody big stage so that they have fewer seats to fill! What an embarassment. I kinda hope the Estate find a way to stop this event until they can get their own show on the road!

My thoughts exactly....and for the record..I DO believe that PPand B Will perform in this tribute concert...no matter if they have shown a spark of interest in the music industry...Michael was their DaD...they are gonna wanna be included in this. I am quite sure that it has been explained to them that this is a AWSOME way to "Give your Father the tribute he deserves". ..and of course children loving their father...they will be proud of themselves for doing it. Cant be mad at the babies either...they have pure hearts.

I respectfully disagree. They WILL provide a speech but they WONT perform I guarantee it.

I have a feeling they will actually have people who will buy tickets now.
Some people don't think about it as much as people on here do,some of these names will bring in their fans through this.
Even through the mess I've seen people saying "Yeah, I would like to see this". There is no excuse for the ticket system though.
I'm curious if people will go through with it when they are confronted with the system. (I don't think everyone is fully aware)

I can't believe Christina Aguilera is involved. Again someone I really like but I have so many mixed feelings about all of this.
Seeing the fact that other Jacksons are taking the stage is enough for me not to want to go though.
Comes across as shameless self promotion to me.
(Outside of the facts that have already been discussed here.)
I haven't even thought of how PP&B will be involved in all of this. I'm not so sure I even want to know really.
But I can't help it, if all of this does go through I am curious to see what Christina and Craig have done.

Who knows maybe they actually will pull it off. (Shockingly)
But then again Jermaine also anounced some acts before it all fell apart... so I'm not holding my breath just yet.

as a person living in US, I have no idea who JLS is.

So while Murray is on trial for causing the death of there "beloved" uncle, son, brother the Jackson family will be overseas doing whatever. Sad damn sad

yes very sad indeed...ya know those times when things they do leave ya speechless...well to me THIS is worse than ANY of those times smdh.

They're massive MJ fans and attended the TII premiere in London (I met them there).
They have often worn MJ T Shirts during interviews and appearances and have been really successful in the charts in the UK (and I thought in Europe but maybe not - they're UK X Factor stars)

Hurry people! You have less than 2 hours to register for expensive tickets you might not get to see the Jacksons desperately trying to come back in the music world.

They also performed a version of TWYMMF on X Factor

And did an MJ medley on their tour:

Makes me wonder if we should demand a statement from the estate...after all WE are the target audience for this tribute...shouldn't WE know where THEY stand in all of this mess?

The star power.....
I stopped reading there.
Not only it is upsetting with MJ's name tagged on it
but bloody embarassing.
Either GL let this go or the estate gonna come and salvage it.
Maybe they're forcing the estate's hand. Dunno...
but one's thing for sure .. leaving a bitter taste in your mouth.

JLS are big in the UK. But outside of the UK, no one knows who they are. I think the promotors are taking anyone who is interested, which explains why one hit wonder (with an MJ song) Alien Ant Farm are performing.
