I think it´s impossible for me to be satisfied with any tribute show.
Noone can sing and dance like Michael.
Maybe a tribute concert with a Symphony Orchestra without song and dance.
 
I actually see the Cirque shows as a tribute and I think it will be very nice.

If the Jacksons announce the usual people (e.g. Liza Minelli, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson etc) then this will be an embarassment. As talented as they are, I'm really hoping for some of the biggest contempory stars. People like Beyonce, Chris Brown, Usher, JT, Jason Derulo, Black Eyed Peas (or at least Will.i.am), Ne Yo, Akon, Far East Movement etc. Those are the people that will make this a successful event. They will draw huge numbers of ticket buyers and a huge amount of press attention. Those guys will also generate demand for a TV screening and DVD release, not to mention the official concert CD. With only the likes of Liza and Smokey performing, there will just be minimal interest.
JLS are one of the biggest acts in the UK at the moment and Aston (a member of the group) has said publicly that they really want to perform at the tribute and they were gonna get their management to speak to the Jacksons. If they're not on the list of superstar performers then the Jacksons truely have lost the plot.
IF the Jacksons have any sense JLS WILL be performing.
 
Michael Forever Tribute It will be on satellite in the UK and around the world. Pay per view in the US and Japan, these deals are being done as we speak
 
On the Facebook page someone asked why it was done without authorization from the Estate because Michael put McClain and Branca in charge and the Admin of the account said they were being naive. I said they were not being naive and asked them without being rude, "Why was the Estate not asked for authorization?"

Our comments were deleted.
EDIT: I asked again and it was deleted. :lol: I have now been blocked.

EDIT: The Jackson family should be in London by now, right? Anyone have any information on this?

Hahah yeah I know right? They are trying to market it as the official tribute to get more people to buy into it. Tributes shouldn't be pushed forth like it's some sort of product for sale, they need to have a real genuine feel to them, not to mention having the support of the estate and fans. Very tacky move IMO. :doh:

Anyone posting disagreement on the Facebook page gets deleted so that only positive comments appear. Even people encouraging others to donate to Michael's favourite charities instead of going to the concert got deleted.

But yes, if no comments got deleted it would be mostly negative.

who is a major artist with close ties to michael? diana ross?

btw isn't it too late to try to sing artists now? tickets go on sale in a day, do they expect people to commit to tickets without knowing the full artist list?
 
La Toya tweeted goodnight 5 hours ago. If she is only going to sleep for the night 5 hours ago, how can she be in London in time for the press conference? Could this conference be a video link?

Yeah isnt it abit late lol.they are supp to be anouncing the line up in two hrs.do they think we came down in the last shower

The first name that popped into my head was: AKON. LOL!

I'm sure Global Live would consider him "major" (LOL) and Akon likes to stress how close he and Michael were. Didn't he also agree to do Jermaine's tribute?

I would go to that Facebook page but I assume you have to like it to be able to leave comments and I really don't want to like it lol
 
so no announcement today. I'd like to say that I'm shocked but I'm not.
If they were "just" hearing about people that want to do the show, it shows me that they weren't even remotely prepared.
 
I can't believe whoever is in charge of that account said they haven't deleted anything. How stupid do they think we are?
