I'm very proud of those kids....
They are poised, smart and well-mannered and I know that all came from MJ.
It is fitting that the last music award show of the season had one of the few tributes that was worth watching.. The singers involved were the right ones (the 3-D glasses were a joke though)
Prince was so nervous in general but I suspect Beyonce also made him nervous, he kept looking her way....
They must have told Paris to wrap it up, it seemed like she had more to say but had to cut it short. ....
Plus they looked adorable in their MJ esque outfits

On another note......What the hell is Randy talking about on Twitter?? Saying his family wasn't invited and by that he means his sisters, brothers and parents...
So MJ's kids aren't family, 3T aren't his family? How did 3T get up there?


I wish those kids didn't have to get up there in the first place but since these are the cards were playing now, I'd rather it was his kids than anybody else...

Why the f#ck is Randy trying to destroy that moment for his niece & nephews? This guy has no shame. The grammes said the family was invited, is he trying to say they are lying. I will take the grammy's producer's words over randy any day.

And he did that on purpose...tweeting all that negativity just when the kids were about to come on. That says a lot. No wonder Jermaine left his name out of the list last time.


PS: I am glad Jermaine wasn't there...Last time he did not mention the fans.. NOR Michael.

I was thinking that if MJ would've appeared at the Grammys..he would've been the highlight of the show..just like he was when he made a surprise appearance at the 2003 BET awards!! He would've definitely stole the attention from Beyonce and Taylor Swift..

The 3D effect was way better than I expected for TV.

You must have a really good TV, then. It looked like crap on mine... Maybe my eyes just don't work that well for those type of glasses. :lol:

Man, you guys remember when 3D was really 3D? Universal Studios and Disney World had the BEST 3D stuff back in the day. :woohoo:

honestly randy !! they fail to realize that this was about Michael and his lifetime achievement. they invited the kids and 3t were there as well to accompany and support MJ's kids. they were enough and suitable fot this awards show. For example beyonce won several awards but we did not see her 30 relatives invited as well. Joe, Jermaine, Janet, Jermaine's kids and Randy's own daughter were at BET and AMA awards. For once let MJ's kids have their moment. Why does it always have to be about brothers? Geez. He can always complain to grammy organizers in private. why does he try to steal the kids thunder with this controversy now?

I agree with a previous member's post....Blanket is a spitting image of MJ...Look at those eyes and that mouth...compare that to the black and white photo of MJ as a toddler (in a member's siggy)

I feel a bit underwhelmed by the tribute...

The tribute was good but for someone like Michael who has contributed so much to the music industry since he was a young child should have been given more accolade. But I guess no one will ever be able to give him justice.

I'm gonna go watch 1984 Grammys and the 1988 Grammy performance now...

I think re-airing these two legendary Grammy moments would have been more sufficient...

I agree!.. I do not understand this family sometimes I really don't.
Why not be supportive of Prince and Paris who were visibly nervous?
whatever his issue is, those are kids and they deserve all the love and support they can get.
MJ's kids are his legacy and the keepers of his legacy not the brothers/sisters or his parents.

Definitely agree. The tribute was... nothing. Other award shows did better jobs.

They could have wowed us with tributes to his main stuff and then ended with the humanitarian song(s) since that was his focus.

I mean, geez, I'm close to saying Jamie Foxx's tribute was better and he ended up causing 'Michael' to get stabbed in Beat It... three days after he passed. :mello: Most messed up tribute I've ever seen, but they put a lot of work into it considering the time they had.

I am glad they chose Earth Song and showed his speech about the planet. The Grammy audience is bigger than This is it audience, I think (or if not bigger then a bit different). And I am glad more people got to hear MJ speak about these things. It's important, it's his message.

Although, while listening to all those great singers singing Earth song I couldn't help but thinking what an amazing vocalist MJ is comparing to everyone else... There's no one who's even close.

The Jackson family should have been invited. There was a tribute.It would have been nice for the family to see a dedication to their brother and son live and not on television. If they were invited and didn't want to go, that is another story. However, I feel there is something fishy going on; something is not adding on.
