Formule 1

OMG!!!! The race in Hungary!!!!??? The place where the biggest Kimi fanbase is (apart from China)!!!! OMG! LOL And that was one of the tracks where they were expecting good result from Ferrari! And it did happen, actually! :);D
Umm.. I went few pages back and it was the QUALIFYING I forgot to watch (I knew I posted it somewhere..). How come I don't remember anything from the race  Who won it? LOL!

^^^Maybe that's why you don't remember. Hamster won it! :( Kimi came 2nd. :)

how about this pic? :wub::wub::wub:

Love the pic but  No bells ringing.

I definitely watched the race since I posted this

Gosh Nicole is really getting on my nerves..

But anyway good job, Kimi :) I'm happy. If only Vettel and Alonso wouldn't have retired and Massa was ok it would've been almost perfect day. (I'm not too glad about Hamilton's win either..)

So since McLaren seems to be on the top again it should be Ferrari's turn next, don't you think ;)

I have no idea why I don't remember it! What a mystery.

Räikkönen: I would find a car even if it wasn't at Ferrari

There's been lots of rumours that Kimi Räikkönen would be leaving Ferrari after this season but Kimi has denied those rumours all the time saying he has a contract for next year.

- I have a contract for next season and that's all I can tell you. It seems that everyone is more concerned about this issue than me. As I have said before, I have a contract for next season driving for Ferrari. If something else happens, I don't decide it, says Räikkönen.

However, Räikkönen suggests in the interview for the first time that any other team than Ferrari is possible if he runs out of work for Ferrari.

- I will find a car somewhere else if I want, it's not a problem. Of course it depends on many things, we'll see who decides what and where it leads. There's always rumours but I don't want to think about them too much, Räikkönen says.

Do you want to find a car for next season?

- I do have a contract. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't want to drive. It depends on many things what's going to happen but that's not a thing to worry now. We'll see then, Kimi answers.

I want him to drive at Ferrari. But anything that makes him feel alright is fine with me too, I guess..

Kimi will cut his hair after win

Kimi Räikkönen reveals to Turun Sanomat that his curls could go after he achieves his first win this season.

- There is no betting. Everybody always thinks that everything is about betting something. This is just normal hair growth. Sure, it's a new style but I've had it for a long time now. I've just been too lazy to go to the barber, Kimi laughs.

Kimi also revealed the name of his hairdresser. Previously his hair had been done by ice-hockey player Tom Koivisto who was his neighbour.

- This has nothing to do with Tom moving away.

(MTV3)

I hope Kimi wins at Spa! :cheeky:

It was one interesting qualifying!
I think Kimi has a good chance for a good race tomorrow!
But I'm scared of Heikki.. and what will happen to him.. He may not have been driving well enough to keep his place at McLaren, it has been said that Rosberg will take his place.. :(

woooohooo!!!! You are so lucky, I know I'm a bit late, but bring some luck to Kimi!!!!!!!!!!! :clapping::wild:

Gooooo Kimi!!!!!!!!!!!

I've MISSED this feeling!!!:girl_happy:  Great race, Kimi!!! I hope he cuts his hair now !
OMG the last pit stop was so exciting, for a moment I thought Fisichella went before Kimi! It was just as exciting as a race should always be with Barrichello's car burning and everything! Love it!
I'm so happy for Heikki, too! 6th place, wow!! :clapping:

I feel bad for Alonso, though. I've learned to like him.

I wonder who will replace Badoer for the next race!

whaaaaaaaa it was sooo cool! :D the best did win today!!! :) :)

almost half of the people were dressed in red and were shouting and clapping when Kimi passed.. what a feeling! :)
if I manage to get my bluetooth connection on my cell phone working again, I'll post some pics/vids..

@The One: if Badoer will be replaced, I think Marc Gene could take his place.. (or imagine if Alonso already joins ferrari.......)

Wow, MichaelV, must have been an amazing feeling to witness the Kimi magic in Spa!!!! He really is the King of Spa, no doubt!!!!

I'm so happy!!!!:clapping::punk:

Our Kimi did it!!!!!! He won it! The King of Spa is back!!!!!!!!! He ate them all, he showed them all!!!! He was like: I'm here, I'm Kimi, I still can win!!!!!! I'm so happy I could cry! I was almost crying after the chequered flag, it was the same feeling when he won the WDC in 2007. We (with Kimi) have been waiting for a win for sooooo long!!!!

Did you hear the crowd went totally nuts when Kimi stepped on the podium!????!!!!!!!
happy0045.gif
I was happy for Fisico and Vettel!!!!
icon2_biggrin.gif
And Domenicali and Kimi were so lovely together! OMG, seeing Kimi's shy smile on the top step of the podium, again. Gave me shivers!

Our 3 commentators believed Kimi would win before the race!
icon2_smile.gif
Kimi drove magically, without any mistakes! I'm so proud of him!

I can't say anything else. Gooo Kimi, you are the best! :D

I still cannot believe it, I was (still am) so emotional!!!! OMG!!!! Kimi, the Finnish anthem, the Italian anthem, Domenicali, Kimi's smile, the mechanichs cheering, Kimi won.... fantastic moments!!!

I keep asking myself: how on Earth was that Force India sooo fast?

Today, the F60 was not the best car, but the team work and the talent of the driver produced the win and that's what counts.

Aww, cute :D It was awesome to hear our national song after a looooooong while!!! I'm still so happy about it!

^^^Yes, although I'm not Finnish still I like your national anthem because when I hear it I always think of Kimi and honestly most of the time I've heard it being played for Kimi. :)

This is few days old news already but I had to bump the thread ;)

Fisichella to race for Ferrari at Monza, reserve role for 2010

Giancarlo Fisichella will race for Ferrari at the remaining five rounds of 2009 after Force €ndia agreed to release him from his contract on Thursday. Fisichella will replace Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer as stand-in for the injured Felipe Massa, starting at next weekend’s €talian Grand Prix. He will then serve as Ferrari's reserve driver in 2010.

Force €ndia have yet to confirm who will take over from Fisichella alongside Adrian Sutil in the team’s number 21 car, though third driver Vitantonio Liuzzi is already being tipped to succeed his fellow €talian.

“We've chosen Fisichella because we can expect him to make a valuable contribution in this final part of the season,” said Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali. “Giancarlo has shown throughout his long career that he's fast and competitive and we are therefore proud to be able to run an €talian driver in our home race.”

Fisichella, who scored Force €ndia’s first-ever pole position, points and podium at last weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix after finishing a close second to Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, commented: “€ am very grateful to (Force €ndia boss) Vijay Mallya for allowing me this opportunity to drive for the Scuderia Ferrari team.

“€t is true that it has always been an ambition to do this, and for Vijay to have allowed it to become a reality is very generous. € hope in my turn € have helped Force €ndia grow up and be on the right path to achieve their own ambitions. They are now a very competitive team and € wish them all the very best.”

Badoer was drafted in by Ferrari after Massa fractured his skull in a qualifying accident at July’s Hungarian Grand Prix. However, the 38-year-old €talian struggled to get to grips with the F60 in a race environment, prompting the team to seek an alternative as they chase third place in the constructors’ championship.

“We wish to thank Luca Badoer for the team spirit he demonstrated in these circumstances,” added Domenicali. “€t is a shame he was unable to show his true worth in these last two races, tackled under conditions which anyone would have found difficult.”

Mallya said he had made the decision to release his driver for the good of Fisichella and of Formula One racing, and not in exchange for any financial settlement. He also hinted that the 36-year-old’s Ferrari deal extends beyond 2009, suggesting a possible testing role for the Roman next season.

“For any €talian driver, a Ferrari race seat is a long-held dream and for Giancarlo it was no exception,” said Mallya. “No one should stand in the way of this. Furthermore the agreement will secure Giancarlo's long-term future with Ferrari and it would be incorrect to jeopardise this. A competitive €talian driver in a Ferrari for Monza is a positive story for Formula One, which can only help raise the sport's profile in these difficult times.”

Mallya went on to thank Fisichella for his contribution to the team over the past one and a half seasons, but insisted his departure would not have a major impact on Force €ndia’s impressive recent form: “He has been an integral part of the team and we owe him a great deal for his input behind the scenes and performance out on track - we wish him all the best for the future.

“This sport is a team effort and removing one part, even a major one, will not significantly affect our performance. The competitiveness of the team seen in Belgium was a result of hard work in the factory and wind tunnel and we have further developments coming for the final races, so we are confident this momentum can be sustained.”

MichaelV, amazing pictures and videos, thanks for sharing! You're looking good!

Hanna, I like it that his hair is staying!!!!!

I'm so sorry for Kimi and his family. For Kimi family is everything so it must be very hard for him. His grandma was his great supporter and she was so lovely. I hope she could see her grandson's win at Spa. I hope Kimi won't be too sad this weekend. :( But, I know that he's a professional so he'll leave his personal problems and pain behind closed doors.

I'm preparing for the trip and here are my nails... with Finnish flag design!!!

thanks for the compliments :)
yeah the sound of the engines is really awesome.. gives me the goosebumps sometimes :D (but I must admit that I did wear earplugs during the race.. it's just too LOUD! ;)) and then the smell of burning tyres, the fuel.. hmmm :)

aww that's sad news of kimi's grandmother.. :(

Gooo Kimiiiii!!! :clapping: Goooo Heikkiii!!! :clapping:

I was hoping Sutil could beat Hamilton.. maybe tomorrow. They're both quite accident-sensitive, though

Wohoo :hat_wave:
As Kimi said: everything counts! 4th time on the podium in A ROW! :clapping:

Though AGAIN I wished Heikki could do better.. and where is Vettel? He hasn't been on the top for a long time. He has to fight for that championship!
