Can I ask you how you were fortunate enough to get to be there with him just the two of you? Was it casual or for work? Did he eventually overcome his shyness with you?

I'm with Ape, I'd love to hear more about the scenario ... you know like how'd it happen? .... you happen to be coming across the parking lot, (street, parking garage what was it?) when MJ happened to be sitting in the limo alone? Can you say why he was alone? Wasn't that unusual? Had he done the interview inside the radio station and maybe wasn't feeling great and went to the limo to rest? and since he was the reason OTHER people were there, who/what was he out there waiting for? and you - as a teenager how did you pull off being the only teenage girl who happened upon MJ at this time ? did you happen to know someone who worked there? was he sitting there with the door open? window down? window up he put it down? c'mon paint a picture! what happened!? :wild::lol: don't leave us hangin'

I won't leave y'all hangin'. It's just that I had my sons doing some chores around here and I didn't want to break the momentum!
It was a series of things that led up to that one on one moment with Michael. I'll tell you guys part of it now and the rest later. When you get your kids into a cleaning mode, you gotta keep going! LOL
My day of MJ started with an early morning phone call from a cousin of mine that knew his schedule for the day. She's a fan too. She called me really early that morning and said, "If you want to see Michael Jackson in person be up, dressed and ready to go by 9:00 a.m. or I'm leaving." She was just that blunt! LOL. My cousin is a trip! But, she means what she says. If I was not ready, she was going to leave me behind.
The first time I met MJ that day I had gotten in line just like everybody else that got in that long line that wrapped around a city block during the autograph signing at the record store. lol This is when I got a chance to see MJ's people use a decoy and how I also found out that MJ is a very fast moving person. Decoy came out and before you knew it, MJ was inside the building. Doors of the record store opens, autograph signing gets rollin', line slowly starts moving. Really organized and exciting from beginning to end.
The second time I got to meet him that day was during his next stop after leaving the autograph signing. This happened because my cousin was following his schedule and knew where he was going next. After we all got to meet him at the record store she waited until we were away from the crowd and said, "He's going to 'The New Age' next to perform a song from 'Off The Wall.' Let's leave now so we'll be there when he gets there."
"The New Age" was a teen club in downtown Oakland that we used to go to on the weekend. Well, not my cousin that knew MJ's schedule...she didn't used to go out and dance...the rest of us did.
We quickly went to "The New Age" so we could see MJ when he arrived. We were there when his limo pulled up in front. We did not go inside because we did not have tickets to get in. When it was over and people were coming out, we asked a few people what song he performed. They said "Rock With You." Shortly after that, MJ was out, back in the limo and the driver started driving off to go to the next scheduled location.
While the limo was slowly driving off and had gone around the corner, these two girls started fighting in front of the club. They were fighting each other about MJ. I'm talkin' about pullin' hair...the whole nine yards. Those two were throwin' some blows and I was looking at them from the car that I was in.
Then, something said, "Tell your cousin to blow the horn to get the limo to stop." So, I followed my mind and told my cousin to blow the car horn. She said, "For what?!!" And I told her "To get the limo to stop! These two girls are fighting back there about Michael! Blow the horn!" Then she said, "They're not going to stop the car just because I'm blowing the horn!!" Then I said, "Blow it anyway!! Blow the horn!!" So, she started blowing the car horn and the next thing we all knew, the limo had stopped! Then we all said, "Ooooooo, they stopped!" We said it like we were in trouble or something. lol We were shocked because it was so easy to get their attention.
Next, my cousin said, "Now what?! They stopped the limo! Now what are we supposed to do?!" So I said, "Get out and go tell Michael those girls are fighting over him!" She said, "I'm not going to go up there and tell him that!! You tell him!!" We spent the longest time trying to figure out who would get out the car and tell Michael. We were passing it to everybody in the car. While we were doing this, Michael's limo was sitting there waiting. LOL We were a mess! We were going back and forth trying to figure out who in the car would go and tell him and then finally I said, "Never mind! I'll be back. I'll go and tell him."
So, I got out of the car, walked up to the first window that was on the street side of the limo, the window went down and who was sitting there next to the door? Michael was. I was slightly startled for a second, because I wasn't expecting him to be the one sitting there. I was thinking maybe one of the people with him would be there, but it was him. So I looked at him and said, "Michael, these two girls are back there fighting over you." Then, I started noticing he was shy! He couldn't give me direct eye contact. He would look at me and look at the floor, look at me and then look at the floor...over and over. I was thinking, "I didn't know he was shy like this."
Then, the man riding in the limo with MJ said, "Here, would you like an autographed picture?" and started handing it to me. I looked over at the man to answer him and that's when MJ started staring at me. I saw him out of my peripheral vision while I was talking to the man. I had told the man, "That's not what I came over here for, but I'll take it. Thank you." When I looked back at MJ, he immediately looked at floor again so I wouldn't catch him staring, but he didn't know it was already too late. I had noticed as soon as he started doing it. I could see him and feel him staring while I was talking. It's an intent stare. It can't go unnoticed. I said, "Michael, they really are back there fighting over you." Then I left and got back in the car with my cousins.
As soon as I got in the car they started asking me what happened, asking me questions about Michael, asking me about the picture, telling me I was lucky and all this other stuff. lol Then, the limo started moving, so my cousin that was driving started following thinking it was headed to the radio station. The limo went around the corner and instead, pulled back up in front of the teen club and stopped. The window on the other side of the limo went down. Michael had the driver go back so he could check on the girls I had told him about. The club's security guards had just broken up the fight and were keeping the girls away from each other.
This is the moment that I realized that MJ is a caring person. He didn't drive off and leave after what I had told him, he went back and checked on them. Only after seeing that the girls were okay did the limo head to the radio station. Michael's driver drove to the freeway, got on, stepped on the gas and was moving down that freeway heck of fast! My cousin was barely able to keep up, but it didn't matter because she knew exactly where they were going next. LOL. They were going to "KDIA."
I think that stop at "Soul Beat" was done before going to the airport. "Soul Beat" was just minutes away from the airport, so it seems like that would have been the last stop. They would not have aired the interview live early in the morning because people would have missed it. They would most likely show the interview live sometime in the afternoon. I didn't even know he went to "Soul Beat." I don't remember my cousin mentioning it either. That's why I was so surprised to run across the photos at the KOP board.
I'll give you guys the details of how I got to sit with him at the radio station a little later. Being able to sit with him happened because he's a very responsive person even though he's very shy. It also had a lot to do with being at the right places at the right time throughout the day and talking to him the same way I would talk to anyone else. Being a girl greatly helped too. lol Mike was not going to allow some guy to check him out the way I was checking him out. He was sitting in the limo next to the door with the door wide open, and I was sitting in the doorway right in front of him next to his right leg. I started scanning my eyes over him from his hair on down to his feet. I was behaving myself, but I was also being a very bold teen. That's probably another reason why he was acting so shy. When those small windows of opportunity come along, you gotta do whatcha gotta do, but when it comes to Michael Jackson, if you don't behave yourself, he's out! Exercise some self control and he'll stay around for a moment. I wanted to remember seeing him in person and looking at him slowly from head to toe upclose is how I was able to do it.
Also, as I mentioned before, it was a series of things that led up to being able to sit alone with him. Interacting with him just before he got to the radio station played a big part in it. It was at the stop before the radio station that he found out I do not over react when I see him.
Got some more things I need to do around here before going into it again, but some of details about the radio station is in the above post.
Before I go though, just wanna say I'm glad you guys are having fun in the thread coming up with your interpretations. I don't think your discussions are doing strange things. lol I'm glad you're having fun thinking about MJ, love and romance. Enjoy the feeling that he is sending out here and the lyrics. It's him that's putting out songs about being in love. He's actually doing it. We're not imagining it. There was a time not too long ago that we all were feeling his sadness. What he is sending out here right now is the opposite of that and it's nice.
Oh, there's something else I wanted to mention. My cousin that was driving took several pictures of MJ at the radio station while he was walking to the limo alone, but she's the type that will not let go of the pictures for anything. Not even if I asked her to make copies for me. Like I said, she's a trip! LOL. My friend that had a chance to kiss MJ that day also have a picture. One of her sisters took it right when she and MJ were about to kiss each other. And of course, he is wearing what you all see in the above photo because all of it is from the same day. My friend that he kissed was there with her sisters and I was there with my cousins. We ran into each other in line just before MJ arrived. My cousin didn't want anyone following us to the next stop. That's why she didn't say anything about it until we were heading there. Because MJ's limo was around the corner at the second location when I was talking to him, the people that saw his performance didn't know he was still there until his limo pulled back up in front to check on those girls. And there were a few girls at the radio station. My cousins, me and these other girls that knew he was going to be there. Small gatherings give you a better chance of meeting him. As I said above, he looked over at me when his bodyguards were escorting him into the radio station. It was a quick glance. Then, he did it again when they were escorting him out. That's why I went over there to him and what I said is what caused him to go by himself. He was just as shy with me at the radio station as he was outside of the teen club. Actually, he was even more shy because this time that man was not with him. He was still inside of the radio station and the bodyguards were still standing by the doors of the radio station.
My one on one moment with MJ came about unexpectedly and was based on trust and a simple promise being kept. It kinda ran itself. I just went along with it, and surprisingly, he did too.
I'll come back later to finish...
