Fascinating how people can hear the same song and hear different things. :brow:
AllforMJ that does makes sense although I have only 1 caveat. I hear something different than both you and
queen_g - at that spot I hear, "why you gurrl!" - which imho being an adlib matches the tone he says it in like he suddenly just wanted to ask himself and/or "her" that. And it matches the mystery he sings about in a couple of other songs, eg., "something about you" - he's not sure what it is, so, "why you gurrl" makes sense to me. I noticed an interesting adlib from Sedieh also, in the middle of the song it sounds like she says, "little guurrrl!! (eg., maybe as if to say that anyone who would "run" from this man is such a "child" or immature? - - which would imply MJ told her the "story" so I dunno but who knows .. ) ............. and rather than, "You know I do!", I hear, "I know I do!" which is another adlib/(comment) he seemed to want to make, sort of talking to himself.
With the song, This Is It, its also interesting how people are hearing completely different things than one another but I guess it shouldn't surprise when in fact each time I hear it I get more clarity (seems to me) than each time before...makes it almost senseless to post, and in case anyone wonders, I do still hear gazelle/Gazelle LOL!! :wild: :sigh:

Well now, I hear the word,
thenin the place of "feel" and I hear the word, soul in the pace of song (see if you can hear the "l" sound at the end of that word) and I guess nobody hears the word, "pray" rather than way  so I guess I'll leave it alone
I've noticed that, for me anyway, one mistake in listening for Mike's lyrics is trying to straight-away follow the phonetic sounds to listen for words which doesn't always work ..kind of hard to explain but sometimes he has a few little extra sounds in there that can be mistaken for syllables whereas I'm finding that what works best for me is listening more for phrases combined with sounds which adds context thus more clarity imho and I hear a teenie bit of interaction with the "mic" it seems also. I'm thinking that if we listen with that in mind we might all concur on more sounds. With that said,
queen_g you might like to know I have reformed from "suit yourself"
but what I hear is yet and still something nobody else has mentioned so I'll leave it be. If you guys listen with what I've said in mind, you may find it could contribute to "revelations" in understanding also because it becomes more clear with each listen now for me. Sort of like a person who talks kind of fast can't tell that its hard to understand each of their words, MJ may have been "in the dark" at times that his lyrics were sometimes indistinguishable at first. It also really does help me to randomly start the song in various spots. I don't guess anyone's gonna agree on these lyrics full stop anyway, but it also may help to try that.
Interesting interpretation of the movie
queen_g. You've got me wanting to check it out also. I wonder how many people rented the movies referenced by the songs in This Is It.
I'll bet there's a new generation of old film fans coming about thanks to MJ.
I know I am so gone on the 'seasoned' MJ  he was having so much fun and what a consummate artist. That film was surprisingly "feel good" (GREAT actually), especially considering all the circumstances around its release and all. Amazing.
oh well, this -is- it- for me, for now. Nite, All. :hiya:
