Did MJ Find Love In The Dark (continued)

You guys have been readin' my mind! I was just thinking today that I could use a group hug from my LITD friends!

November not a good month for me. Got a very sad anniversary coming up. To make matters worse, it is always overcast and cold where I'm at at this time of year. Makes it all the more doomy and gloomy Iguess. Might as well be as dramatic as possible, eh? Ah, November!

Thanks for the hugs and hugs back to each of you!

:better:

will pass, okay?

 :huggy:

Ash

Thanks for posting these SoS. :flowers: These 2 versions are lovely but there is something about the Frank Sinatra version that is so dreamy to me. :girl_sigh:
I started to post it with the other two - Sinatra's version of every song is special ... here's the link - it was a little 'slow' (tempo) for my mood but I love it too :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qX62wmduuA4

Oh thanks for posting that Lily, because it reminded me that I forgot to thank SoS for the movie tip!! I LOOOVE old movies and always want to see more and love when I hear about a "new" old movie I have not yet seen! :) So thanks for the tip, the movies sounds very interesting! I'll definately check it out! :clapping: (But it's not a scary movie, right? Because I don't like those...I get scared. :( )
yw Summer :) and nah just a little intrigue is all. Its a fun movie to me because of Charles Boyer's nonchalant demeanor in trying to drive her crazy

I just wanted to pop in and say hey to you all. I regularly lurk in this thread, as I just really enjoy reading everyone's posts. I just felt I should introduce myself as you have probably seen my name as one of the members that regularly lurks in the thread. :)

*runs out of thread.* ;)
Welcome! :) We're just having some serious fun in all seriousness is all ;)

Sorry, I want to say hey everyone.
Probably I should pop in and introduce myself. I from Russian. (Sorry, I don't speak English.)
This thread very interesting. Thanks everyone writing here.
hi and welcome :hiya:
Oh there was one in Africa, too...ok who was it???
ahehahahe this reminds me of the old Romper Room show with the teacher looking through the "magic mirror" at the end of the show ... "and I see Mary .. and Johnny ... and Susan .. and Jack ... :giggle:

how sweet :) Hugs for Justus too ((((((((((((((((((Justus)))))))))))))))) (wouldn't it be something to get a group hug from all around the world lol)

Ar.ta and Louise welcome! :D

Hey Justus, Brazilian's hugs for you and all! :)

SOS've heard about this movie, but never watch, involves mystery, drama and thriller, no is?

Okay...

suddenly I was excited... :wild:
suddenly "something" told me: Behave yourself! :shifty:
(Oh! That's what else I have done lol) :bored2:

I leave 5 cents of words in this thread...

I think we must see a little more with the eyes of "reason"... things are visible to all, but there are those who don't want see... and we must respect.

but...

To say the latter is not possible is to sorely underestimate the genius that IS Michael Jackson.:girl_aww:

*The "Brasilian gang" is with the flashlight linked a long time!* :girl_whistle::naughty::cheeky:
To me Gas Light is one of those old 'intrigue' movies .. where the players and creators are having innocent fun with human emotions and of course a fair share of melodrama :D

ha! ha! ha! :D

Lully, thank you for your words. You were perfect. I prefer to be silent on this matter because I already have my opinion. I'd rather not share with anyone and keep to myself. After all, I always think totally different and unlike most people.

My lantern is still on. I do not unplug it at any time not to run the risk of losing something! Nothing can go unnoticed. Eagle eyes! lol!

Well, I watched the movie "Gilda" today because I was with some doubts, but now it is resolved. Running and flying to try to watch "Tokyo Joe (1949)". I need to find and watch this movie to take my other questions! :swoon:

Bang!!!!!!
hm interesting post (u know u are always welcome to express your unique point of view :) ) Why Tokyo Joe? Was that movie mentioned in This Is It? .. or is it just a random movie choice like mine was?

aw MP :( ((((((((((((((((((((((((((MP))))))))))))))))))))))
I love November...

But it brings me bad memories and sad a day this month. :(

Coincidence?
aw Ash ((((((((((((((((((Ash)))))))))))))))))))))))

This time of year is not easy for a lot of people and its so easy to bring back nostalgic memories ... its like the Autumn of Life ... a time of loss and transformation from the old way of being, to a new yet matured realization :)

Maybe this will help a wee bit ... and notice the wonderful art work as you listen :) I hope this soothes a downcast soul. I just love how each of the seasons represents some aspect of life.

btw - did anyone see the night time sky? Has to be nearly THE MOST amazing sky I've ever seen .... to me its like it popped right out of a dream - stars white-bright! and each star in its own splendor and size ... all the stars so unique and distinct from one another ... and the moon perfectly round and seems so close! I live in a very woodsy area and seeing it through the various trees framing it just so ! ... Moments like this I need a really awesome camera. Hope everybody saw it.

Hmmmmmmmm

I guess you was not until the end of the movie. lol! :wild:

There is valuable information in the credits. A lot, but unfortunately I could not read everything. I need to see these claims carefully and with great care.

Larten connected, always on and eagle eyes... ALWAYS!!

Thanks for the video. I really liked it.

In fact November is important to me because of two important days in this month: my birthday (it's human nature and is not run from it. We're all gonna get old!) and the anniversary of the death of my father... exactly the same day that I do birthday... it's gone forever 7 years ago. :(

It is difficult to be 100% well that day that brings me sad memories. It is true that I will never forget what happened that day... I'm always very sad that day. :( But I always try to somehow be okay that day.

Sorry to share that and get away from the topic...

I don't have much to add here at the moment, since my thoughts in general are more like wt?:wtf: about so many things I've encountered/observed lately. lol Although I did have a couple random things I was wondering about the TII cd, maybe someone can answer them.....

Does anyone know why "Jam" is the only song on the TII cd that says written by MJ and all the others are written by MJJ?

And what does "Always great to sing with my brother" mean on the back of the booklet?

It was so beautiful last night and this morning when I took my dog for a walk at 5:00am. The moon was so vivid and defined and was even still present on my drive to work after the sun came up. I love nights like that, they're so imaginative and peaceful, it feeds my soul. :)

ha! ha! ha!

I thought this was overlooked by everyone.

Why does it appear in the booklet??

Great mysteries to be revealed...

Just think a little bit.

Latern on and eagle eyes...

Not overlooked by me or so mysterious imo because it's in plain sight, so I won't burn too many brain cells trying to analyze it  I'm just curious and wonder what it means. :)

btw, I don't get this whole lantern thing that keeps coming up, what does that mean?

It bugs me when I keep hearing about the end and each time I see it they cut it off in the theater at the start of the credits. So... what am I to do? Ashtanga can you PM me what happened? What the credits were etc? I'm not happy with my movie theater. In fact I am surprised. I used to work for the manager of it and he always played all the credits to every movie. So what happened with this one, I wonder.

Also, should I buy the CD? Is it worth while?

I think you should complain. You paid to see the whole movie.

Not to interupt but I would make a complaint with the management of the movie theatre that you paid to see all of the film not just part of it, and if nothing is done about it at that level go to the Supervisor...and so forth and so on...

I feel that is a disrespect to Mr.Jackson, his family, the fans, the admirers, and customers of the movie theatre...go get em Ape..!

As you know, I don't post here that often. I've seen the movie now. The strongest thing I take away from that is the idea of RESPONSIBILITY. "This is it" meant. . . this is the time we need to act, to help bring peace and healing to the planet and to each other. We all bear responsibility, individually and collectively. We must treat one-another in a loving way. We must make choices that are healthful for ourselves, for others, and for the planet. This has always been a large part of Michael's message. Included in that is if we've wronged someone, we must apologize, and mutually heal. If we have the ability to help, we must not turn away or pretend (justify?) that help is not needed. One-by-one, we must all make the loving choices. Isn't that what Michael has been saying to us?

Carry on,

Vic

Thanks for this Victoria83. :) And although I won't see the movie at this time I do agree with Michaels message to the world. :)

Change begins within and then extends beyond ourselves into the greater world. I won't repeat the disappointing episode I experienced last night, but I will say it took a shot once again towards my views of humanity in general until I spoke to my Mom, my voice of reason, and she said you helped right, and I said yes I did what was in my heart I couldn't just pass by without doing nothing, and she said then you did the right thing. That to me is what life is about, doing the right things.

I think we all should think about what kind of world do WE choose to live in?

Turn on lantern! :rolleyes2:

Nah I'm ok, it's not that serious to me, got more important things to think on in life. :)

Not all eyes reach the same vision. We believe what we see, as we ... each with its own look.

Only let's not forget to return the stars to the sky ... to always have someone to guide us. You still have yours, do not you? :D

Lily, I'd like to help you, but I could look "crazy" lol, but I know that soon, you will have your own conclusions! I really like your "observant eye", girl! ;)

Thank you for sharing with us, I was very happy to read this. :)

When i was younger i used 2 love it when its on a summer night, when the brezze is a lil cool and i just look to the sky and wish & dream.

Vic, You could post here more often, your posts are always welcome! Thanks for sharing! That was incredible.

Thank you. This is the ONLY way I've found to make sense of Michael's death. We must IMPROVE ourselves. Michael was about primarily TWO things. Identity, and love. In terms of identity, he felt he had a right to express himself. A RIGHT, to do that, as himself and no one else. He had a human right, to do this. Anyone who blocked that self-expression, was NOT good? Did he have complete self-knowledge? I don't know. I think he was a work in progress?

The second thing, is love. . . we face challenges, daily. We feel, often, that we are RIGHT, and that justifies our bad treatment of other people. It also leads to wars. . that sense of intrinsic "rightness." I've been very distressed at the reactions to the TINI thread, actually. These are people. . . who have put themselves on the line. You may not agree with them, but a lot of the reactions TO them are so NOT Michael. The worst I ever heard him say, was "devilish."

For Michael's death to have meaning, we must CHANGE, and improve. Personally, I fear the weak people in the world, more than the obviously evil. We can protect ourselves from the evil ones, because they are obvious. The weak? They do NOT stand up for what is right. They do NOT put themselves on the line. But, Michael, himself, always did. . We need to dig deeply, and follow his example, even if it's not always the comfortable thing to do?

So I say . . . peace. . for Israel and Palestine. For north and south Ireland. For the U.S. and the Middle East. For Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and Wiccans. We must find common-ground. We must step UP when help is needed. . emotional help, spiritual help, and whatever else. We must LIVE Michael's example, not just waste our time talking about it. We must LIVE it?

Vic

You knew I still do that? lol look at the sky, wish, dream and make my request to God... And leave my "impossibles" and my dreams in His hands...

The night on the beach is beautiful! Dance the stars in the sky and he seems to touch us, it's perfect to dream! :girl_sigh:

EDIT:

Vic
I don't have words... you was perfect! Yes!! we must live the Michael example, we must love, without worrying us whether we will be loved... Help who need help with a word, a smile...
Yes!! This is it! :wild:

I'm sure Michael would very proud and the world would be much better if we did it!
Thanks Vic! :clapping:

Very nice post Victoria83, especially these words. :)

I've been thinking alot recently about many things and this happens to be one of them. There's a question that stays in my mind and I think about it often.....

Do people only choose to EXIST, instead of LIVING?...I wonder.

You know 2 nights ago when I experienced the negative and ignorant perception certain people seem to have towards others that are like and/or unlike them in whatever way(s) I had to find a way to move past being truly bothered by it. So I'm going to share a very brief story that happened to me again last night. I saw the homeless guy and his dog again on my way home from work and this time I stopped and had a conversation with him. He was stranded and just wanted to get back "home", I asked him what is it going to take to get you and your dog there? He said he almost had enough money and I said what is enough? I just need $32 more dollars and then I'm done. So I said here's $40 please please just get off the street and get you and your dog "home". The tears in his eyes and smile on his face was priceless to me I thought he was going to jump out of his skin from happiness . He hugged and kissed his dog and thanked me over and over and I said just take care of you and your dog, he said oh I will he's all the family I have. That broke my heart  but we had something in common, I said your dog looks exactly like mine :D so we had a little conversation about our dogs :D then I said you better get going, so he grab his belongings and said come on buddy we're going "home". The smile on his face the entire time was the best gift I could have received on a very emotionally difficult day for me yesterday. He thanked me again and waved goodbye to me as he walked across the street. Of course everyone stared and looked at me sideways again but I didn't care this time. I drove away smiling and crying happy tears, then I got home and listened to "Stranger in Moscow" and cried some more.....

Just think about it.....What if that was you? Put yourself in anothers shoes for just one moment, the impact on YOUR life can be far greater than you can imagine. It wasn't about the money to me, it was extending a hand out to someone who just needed a little help, it was about LIVING and the very special gift that I gave to myself.....food for my soul.....

^ What a nice experience Lily, for you and for him - and the dog of course.

I love that Jungian quote. :) Thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone who enjoyed the starry night with me. :D

There's something that makes the experience of seeing it even more special when someone else can witness the wonderment of it too.
