Did MJ Find Love In The Dark (continued)

Just wanted to put my 5 cents here about MJ lyrics again and “her” image in his new song. I got rabbi Shmuley’s book recently and as more as I read it as more confident I get that Michael never met this women. It doesn’t mean that she doesn’t exist though. Probably, many women in the world think that this song has been written for them.:)
The book itself is waste of time and money because there are a lot of conversations about Judaism which I am not interested in. And I tried to avoid reading weird rabbi’s comments about Michael. However , some dialogues are pretty interesting and informative. Michael was such a huge perfectionist in many ways which makes me think even more that he never met this woman in his life time. He was a perfectionist regrinding his own physical appearance and maybe he was looking for kind of the same? He told Janet, his sister to lose weight because at his point of view she looked “huge like a caw”, he said. It tells me that Michael used to like slim women. I always feel very sorry for women with weight problems. Sometimes it is something ppl cannot control. Anyways it is nothing unusual about him as a man. All men love beautiful women.
On another hand, in this dialogue he says about beauty of soul which is very true and which I agree with. At the same time he didn’t like when women approached him, and it is very understandable too. His situation as a super mega star was so different., so he had tons of women around him who wanted just to talk to him for 1 second. Could it be possible that somebody real denied him “hanging around”? It is possible , if she was another Hollywood star. But we know there were none he really liked except Brook Shield. But I am not sure that this song is about her. Does she match the lyrics 100%? I do not think so. He heard about her many times LOL I know he loved her and they had very platonic relationships.
So, in the end this woman has to be beautiful from inside and outside at his point of view and she has to match 100% with “her” qualities from his song at least. All of it makes me think that he had never met her. It was mostly his imagination and maybe sort of mysterious contact, and just God knows what it really was imo. Thank you for reading. It was too long this time.

Thanks for posting your thoughts Asedora.:) I agree beauty has to come from the inside out. MJ has seen all kinds of women and I'm sure the true love that captures his hearts would have to have something very special about her, an inward glow, substance, and character. Something beyond just superficial beauty. :)

Do you ladies ever wonder why "Human Nature" and "The Way You Make Me Feel" were the 2 songs chosen out of all of the songs as the extended clips? I'm kinda curious because out of the supposed set-list for the shows they seem to be more subdued performances, unless that was the whole advertising purpose, to get people to go see it in the theatre for the dance routine performances. Oh well, I'm not complaining because "Human Nature" is my all time favorite MJ song  so I'm happy to see it since I won't be going to the theatre.

Also, I was just listening to "Hold My Hand" again and then I listened to "This Is It" and when listening to the 2 songs not only do I hear a more intense happy voice I get this feeling like MJ was ready and moving forward with love if that makes any sense? And those 2 songs being the most recent ones released maybe he had something happen that changed his life. Like falling in love.....

Oh well, just a random thought I guess.

Funny you should say that Lily, I got the songs exactly in that order playin' almost all the time on my player when goin' to and from work. They really are lovely, aren't they? As for the questions, I wouldn't know, but I guess it's part of the mystery, and as always, mystery is nice.

Thank you all for the nice comments, it's nothing really. :flowers:

About the beauty part - I don't know about y'all, but I know for sure beauty has got to be complete in the man I choose. Whoever says that inner beauty alone is what they seek, is fooling themselves and the world. I can be quite the hypocrite at times, but this is one issue where it doesn't apply.

I'm sorry, but he can be a scientist finding the cure to cancer or making discoveries about DNA, or a doctor without borders doing his missionary work around the world, but without the touch and the look, it wouldn't be enough. That don't impress me much, as Shania whould say would be too harsh though.

Having said that, inner beauty is awesomely important. I'll just say this - I know all about the nice covers with the rotten interiors; you'd be surprised what some men are willing to do for just a little bit of material comfort. And that is all I'm about to say, before I get too deep into my own.

So, in the end, it's always about the whole package - inner AND outter beauty, a bit of intelligence as well wouldn't hurt either. Michael had every right to demand the best cause he offered it. I, on the other hand cannot say the same since most days I don't feel particularly beautiful either on the inside or the outside, but you do what you can and move on I guess, trying to make up for mistakes and doing better next time.

I remember a beautiful thing a preacher once said - if you don't have a virtue, act as though you did and, with time, you will have it. I can testify to the truth of that - by nature, I am quite an impatient soul, but life, in my short, but plentiful experience has taught me that the really good things only come with sacrifice, struggle and a lot of time and dedication. Plus, God's timing is always right, not one minute too late, not one minute too early, so all we can really do is wait on the Lord, as He asked in the good book.

Have a great day people.

Woah, you have the book, interesting. What part of the book told you that or made u come to that conclusion? (bolded above)... surmise if u could share a bit?

Another question, what qualities do u hear in the song that you are referring to? I do understand what you mean about perfectionism and I don't know if you meant it this way I'm also thinking but one thing is, if he was expecting "perfection" maybe she felt that she couldn't live up to that ideal, maybe she had the 'ideal' for him herself, wanting the best for him too, maybe he was looking for perfection from HIMSELF only, and the guy has always been the dictionary definition of beautiful since childhood, and that never changed, no matter what else may have, so yeh, its an interesting thought.

question/s: what dialogue are u referring to, did I miss something? "Dialogue of the Soul" - sounds like a book title lol - just wanted to ask what are u referring to ~ I always enjoy reading your posts btw ~ always a pleasant read. I know mine are too long, sorry...really.

hm, had never, probably would never have thought of it and now I am, and I'm intrigued. You are quite observant. Not sure I get what you're seeing in the/a correlation in the two though, feel free to expound, you'd have 'an ear' here. *smile* Interesting points you're making about *the falling in love*.

Maybe he didn't expect it could happen for him with whomever until a certain point he maybe realized something (may be where its undectable in the song and I've seen some interesting ' song transcript' choices that I don't hear, sorry I digress), nonetheless - I have my notions, as some know if you've paid attention, of "story lines" etc., and feel that whatever the mystery is, if it is indeed what it seems to those of us who make these 'musical observations', I feel we still never really know, even if we figure it out, unless and until during and/or after the fact (if there is a "fact") so at some point we're always creating our own stories to give it all "meaning" and/or "closure" and/or "context" for ourselves,

or why be here? We love a good story, especially regarding MJ and we all have just want/ed the best for him at the end of the day - its the one thing we have in common - come what may - or come what may not come LOL!! ... happiness and peace for tha man.

I guess I could be wrong, but I always kind of had the feeling that Michael really wanted the best for Michael too, so I'm not sure that he's really needed us as much as we may sometimes feel he did (and of course does in other ways, I mean, who would he be without fans in his business all the time? LOL j/k) and if he's been here no doubt it was fun for him, maybe amounting to nothing more than enjoying a sort of "fan fic" LOL (if he enjoyed this thread, imagine - how could he ever resist not being riveted to his own fans' fics from sea to shining sea LOL rotfl and all fans know he loves/d to read! oh yes, this man has enjoyed so much blessings from so many beautiful female fans - and some males)

and we each have our own "version" of Michael I guess too, (reminds me of a line I feel I hear in the song - its so funny how when we say 'the song' everyone knows what song lol,

as someone said, whether we've just heard/seen/met/talked/hugged/looked at/seen him, we consider it a frozen moment in time no matter what, no doubt so everyone gets to "write" their own story in this thread

- and a multitude of fans he has at least looked at, at some point or other, being there are zillions of fans and only 1 of him *giggle*, - there is one fan story of that which really touches my heart - they know who they are - and there may be a smattering of truth to all and any "stories" for all we know lol. The most famous man in the world probably did get around a bit eh LOL, so I see where it pays to - at the core to keep a certain distance and at a certain level of privacy, leave it alone because what is truly meant to be kept private surely has, will and always will be, no matter what anybody's been "told", and there are probably differing versions according to the weather sometimes, or what a given person perceives or recalls at a given time, so, we all know that, so, just sayin' in case its needed, I presume in behalf of all of us that, that, is a given though really. Just one of those things I felt needed to be said but anyway, yes, now that I listen to the song again anew, it seems fairly clear. Seems very simple, and even sweeter. I can see him falling in love with someone he had felt just, ok about then realized it was really love. I've often heard the best of relationships have often started out that way.

I think the song does say it all. It all is very sweet. This whole DMJFLITD thing lol. - whatever it all "means" - its all so sweet, heck there may even be a sub-plot or two.

We all just want MJ to have felt loved very specially in this life. We could all see he has deserved at least that much, eh. So, I'm sure we're all happy MJ "found love in the..." - wherever he found it, if he did, presuming (for a moment Ash & Co.!! LOL!! *loveya*loveya*loveya*wink*) that his song is also his 'story' too. Some of us do. Some don't. What fun everyone gets to have!

Suddenly I'm reminded of something I stumbled upon in reading over some previous posts, and I meant to acknowledge something that I said didn't make sense and reading back over it made me think, well 'hmmm', maybe those are actually the very things that indicate it could be, instead of it couldn't be...but again I digress, lol If anyone KNOWS what I'm talking about, feel free to PM, too tired to go on about it. lol sorry y'all, I get chatty sometimes when I'm tired and wanna 'chat' lol ..

Funny you should say that Lily, I got the songs exactly in that order playin' almost all the time on my player when goin' to and from work. They really are lovely, aren't they? As for the questions, I wouldn't know, but I guess it's part of the mystery, and as always, mystery is nice.

Wow!, what a coincidence about you and Lily and the songs! WoW hmm, synchronities are fun to discover, and that one is rather, I have to say again, - interesting! lol. I so enjoyed reading this post too - I understand what you mean, I see things somewhat similiarly, and yes, MJ seems/d like an appreciation for outward beauty (whatever is meant to him) is not exactly missing from his "list" for sure - he has been seen/posed with/linked with some of the most gorgeous supermodels, actresses etc., so yes - ' agree.

... that picture in your sig is very special and beautiful. So many things about it are ... interesting. Would make a nice huge poster too!!! (*wonders if they thought of that) - my favorite colors are in there too.

*looks at it sideways*

Love the loafers, gotta love the loafers!! Love the socks, love the legs, ok sorry, well I'm sure there's one trait everyone has noticed where they would look last if they were ever forced or desperate to I.D. MJ, like whether someone was really MJ or not - or lol may be diff thing for diff ppl ... I won't say what mine is b/c it doesn't matter, but we all have one is the point - that one trait we look for -

so... anyway, yes
, interesting pic, kinda in a sense dunn't quite somehow look exactly....I dunno ... one of those pics that makes me go hm but I love it ... gotta go ... just wanted to borrow some DMJFLITD luuuv vibes b4 going to sleep. No smilies tonight as I'm tired, yay eh queenie pie ehehhe

Well, ok here's one :flowers: God bless All

I think ''human nature'' & ''the way u make me feel'' were picked out was possibly cuz those two songs are very popular amog us fans. I know they are in my top 10 mj list

That is interesting  I just posted them in the order they were released and what made me think of them is I was reading the HMH thread in GD last night that somebody bumped from when HMH first came out, took another listen and thought to myself MJ's voice seemed upbeat and happy, then I listened to TII and felt the same thing. Hmmmmm.....

hm, had never, probably would never have thought of it and now I am, and I'm intrigued. You are quite observant. I'm not sure there's any correlation I was just curious that for promotion more subdued song clips were released versus the big dance numbers. Maybe there's a marketing strategy in it somewhere, I have no idea and it certainly is not my area of expertise. Just one of my random thoughts that I said outloud. LOL

I agree.

I hear you ;) . I get the feeling from the song, that he is acknowledging that
he felt something for "her"
(if there is a "her") which he felt
"she" (if there is a "she") also felt for him
, but also felt he had not gotten quite sufficiently validated by her for various reasons until she apparently told him certain things eg., (You said you wanted to go with me all the while) and so he realized that
he was right about that feeling of "knowing" her all along
, ...ya know, like how you encounter someone who seems so "familiar" that somehow it seems
you've known them FOREVER
? (Seems as though I've known you since a thousand years) while at the same time, it seems (from other songs and maybe this one) that he's trying to figure out why is it that since he was right about her why did she act the opposite. That's why I felt your story fit. :)

 OKaayyy... So..."some" people do chuckle every now and then!

OK the photos lesseee hmm

ok well..

The first photo relates to For All Time - do you see the way the sun is slowly 'coming up' on him ..? ... as in, "sun comes up on this new morning"

The second one is easy - 2000 Watts :)
"you may now apply your 3-D glasses"

The third one, okay, well, the picture inside the circle depicts
Break of Dawn
(as, once again, the sun has risen upon him),

The picture outside the circle is all about, Threatened, which we spoke about earlier, eg., "every time your lady speaks she speaks to me"

Allof them lead to my favorite and most comical rock song of all time - that being,

State of Shock ..

... got me "catatonic" ... got me "paralyzed"

;) get it? "catatonic??" ..."paralyzed"??

mannequins?

:lmao:

Okay enough 'corn' :giggle:

I guess this would be a good time as any for some more good music LOL!

Speaking of our purpose for being here, I'm still at this question in life and I LOVE this song from one of the earlier albums, where Michael at 12..!.. is telling us how to go about finding out why we are here, living this life, with his lil 'ole soul' *smiles*.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rWeqVihOnY

Michael and his brothers sing this very spiritual song together.

Michael's voice is PURELY AMAZING! All the brothers! This is such an AMAZING song.

"find that tree of wisdom ...find out why you're livin'... reach in! ...into your soul!! oh!! reach in!! ...... and let love shine in!" :listeningtomusic:

LOVE it, love it, LOVE IT! Its very healing and enlightening song, I feel.

Sdeidjs, does this count as sending the message back? :D Thank you ever so much. That was truly beautiful.

I was going over some pictures I took last year around this time during a pilgrimage to Rome and I found the pic of a
great tablecloth
that goes well with what you just posted. It has a very true message

fragile.jpg

God sure does work in mysterious ways
- last year during mid-October I was going to my spiritual home (I truly felt at home when I stepped into Saint Peter's Square), this year I went to a different kind of home. I wonder what next October will bring.

Anyways, I also wanted to share with you a video that fits right into Ape's and Sdeidjs' posts. I actually cried when I first saw it.
It is about the true value of solidarity. It shows that in life one needs not strive to be the first, but to help the brothers do their best as Janet sang so beautifully in Rhythm nation. True joy is in giving and whoever wants to be great in the kingdom of heaven must become servant of all, just as the Son of God came to serve and not be served.

And since I was talkin' about beauty earlier, I can't believe I missed some
pictures in the thread http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78645 Breathtaking really.

And now I went and discovered another set. Just gorgeous, I can't believe that after 17 years Smooth criminal appears equally amazing, what am I saying? It's like the turning of juice to great red wine, keeps getting better.

It feels as though a strange kind of peace has come over this thread doesn't it? The quiet times are great and are sooo needed every now and then.

A tiny miracle just happened to me cause I wasn't feeling very well, but I had made a promise and I had to keep it, so in spite of my doubts I managed to write some things. Thank you all for reading, good night and God bless
.

Dear Shabuya,

I am at a loss for words except...Absolutely Breathtaking~~~

congratulations on the noble work you're involved in!
Michael would be so proud of you ... and so am I!:clapping:
That screenwriter is really involved in some work that I think Michael would really be proud of as well. He sounds like such a noble man and I'm glad you were blessed with the opportunity to work with such a person. You two would make a really great team!

I also wanted to tell you that I did see your other posts on this topic, but the thing is, I really have a problem viewing YouTube 'cause of my weird computer and internet connection. I have no problem posting videos here for you all to enjoy, but the ironic thing is, I can't always view them myself!

Anyway, I hope you continue to be blessed and have loads of fun! BTW, I meant to tell you: Gimme that little kitty you showed us all earlier!!!:mello: lol!

Also ...

Sdeidjs and Shabuya, I meant to thank you earlier for all of the inspirational post you have been sharing with us lately.
You rock! :punk:

Your so very Welcomed...Thank You too~~~

Hello People!

Sdeidjs and Shabuya, I loved all your posts! Is very interesting to read! Thanks for always sharing with us! ;)

Lully, I love this video! I love this day!!! I felt a little sorry for the girl... :( The security man didn't leave her to see that Michael has put the ring on his finger!
Michael is so adorable! Is impossible not to falling love for him! As I said once:

"God made Michael and He lost revenue" :D

Now, I'll let the video and lyrics for a song that I love very much and that has much to do with this thread:

NOT ENOUGH - VAN HALEN

To love somebody naturally
To love somebody faithfully
To love somebody equally
Is not enough
Is not enough
It´s not enough

To love somebody secretly, and never touch
To love somebody honestly, and allways trust
To love somebody tenderly, the tender touch
It´s not enough
It´s not enough

Love hurts you sometimes
It´s not so easy to find, no
Searchin´ everywhere
You turn and swear
It´s always been there

To love somebody foolishly, can happen once
To love somebody hopelessly, it hurts so much
To love somebody equally
Is not enough
Is not enough
It´s not enough

Love takes a little time
It´s no so easy to find, no
Searchin´ everywhere
You turn and swear
She´s always been there
Standin´ there...oh

And if it don´t come easily
One thing you must believe
You can always have trust in me
Because my heart will allways be, yours honestly

Yeah, love hurts you sometimes
Not so easy to find, no
Searchin´ everywhere
Then turn and swear
It´s always been there
Standing there

Love hurts you sometimes
Not yours, it´s not mine, no
Love´s only to share
Turn and swear
It´s everywhere
Standing there
´Cause it´s always been there

:punk:Your welcome...Love your posts too...this is a wonderful thread...In my opinion...I think Michael would be pleased..!

On another hand, in this dialogue he says about
beauty of soul
which is very true and which I agree with. At the same time he didn’t like when women approached him, and it is very understandable too. His situation as a super mega star was so different., so he
had tons of women around him who wanted
just to talk to
for 1 second.
So, in the end this woman has to be
beautiful from inside and outside
at his point of view and she has to match 100% with “her” qualities from his song at least. All of it makes me think that he had never met her. It was mostly his imagination and maybe sort of mysterious contact, and just God knows what it really was imo. Thank you for reading. It was too long this time.

Dear Asedora,
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...Please keep in mind...one can have the most gorgeous woman/man in the world but on the inside they are ugly, pompus, and arrogant...

Image is not everything in a woman/man...it's all the beauty that radiates from within that over powers any physical attributes...

That to me, is what truly is way more important..!

:angel:Heal The World...WE Are The World...Education IS The Key~~~

Thanks for posting your thoughts Asedora.:) I agree
beauty has to come from the inside
out. MJ has seen all kinds of women and I'm sure
the true love that captures his hearts would have to have something very special about her, an inward glow, substance, and character.

:flowers: God bless All

There is not a particular part of the book which makes me think that way. Many dialogues have some sort of signs that he was very lonely and he wanted to be loved. Many dialogues are about religion and beauty of soul. In one part of dialogue (I think right after conversation about Madonna?) he says that the beauty has come from inside. If you have a book you easy will find it. Michael was a very spiritual man and perfectionist in many ways including physical life. I do not know, maybe this is only my way of reading things? Very often ppl read the same thing and understand it very different.. . But it is OK, everybody is different… .
You are asking me what qualities she has to match according to this song? Once again, everybody sees things different. “Her” qualities I see in this lyrics I just will put below for your convenience:

1. And it feels as though I've seen your face a thousand times
2. And I know that you have got addicted with your eyes
3 But you say you gonna leave it for yourself
4. I never heard a single word about you
6. I’m the light of your world, run away
7. And you tell me that you’ve seen my face before
8. And you said to me you don’t want me hanging around
Many times
8. And I feel as though I've known you for a thousand years
9. And you said you were some of this yourself

10 And you said won’t you go with me, on a while
11. And I know that it’s really true myself

Did I miss something? well....
He even said to her :“feel my song”. He doesn’t ask her to read it, but to feel. I am very positive myself that lyrics is something you have to feel, not just to read.Let God deal with it.... .:) This is only I can say... .
I do not know, maybe I am wrong? This is just another different opinion.

Everybody, have a nice day:)

Oh! I am very aware of it. Soul is much more important than body. Just in physical world material things look stronger sometimes. It is nice to have both balanced while you are alive, but it is very rare. When body dies, everything changes, I believe.

I think you made some very good points Asedora. I think inner beauty is soooooo much more important than outer beauty, however, at the same time, realistically, I guess two people in a relationship would have to be at least a little physically attracted to each other at some point. But, like Sdeidjs said, even that is in the eye of the beholder, so I guess it all works out in the end. I especially think God, in His wisdom, when He puts two people together, He takes all these things into consideration and makes sure that the people He puts together are pleasing to each other in every way and compatible with each other to ensure that their relationship lasts and is a complete success.

Ah, I hate it how I always forget what I was gonna comment on in each post after reading them!  You know, I read some post...and think about something I wanna comment on...go read the next post...and so on...and by the time I'm done reading the posts and go back to quote the posts, I'm already like "What did I have in mind for this one?"

Anyways...before I comment on ANYTHING...I just wanted to say two things. First...I love how this thread is almost like a "blog"...where we all add entries. You could almost call it the "LITD Blog" instead of a "thread". It's great! :)

Second...I was just watching the movie "Xanadu" yesterday. Has any of you guys seen it? It was the first movie my sister and I rented when we got our first VCR back in the 80's...and I hadn't watched it again until this year. And now that I watched it I couldn't stop thinking how our LITD thread ("blog") is totally like the story from Xanadu! (Should we call this the "Xanadu Blog" then? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:). The whole story here would pretty much fit in the Xanadu story...well, except not until the end really. (Or maybe we haven't gotten to the part where she tries to get to "the other side" to get MJ back to "this side"? :D (That's if you reverse the roles at some point...). Didn't Justus say she needs hope and enlightment...? So maybe she just needs to go get him back from "the other side"....? :clapping:  (I hope she'll hurry...I wanna get MJ back on this side too!!!:timer: :angel::angel:). Anyways...I guess I was just sent into this "dream world" while watching "Xanadu" and couldn't help but to think how awesome it would be if MJ came back!! :clapping:I don't know how that could be possible, but like I've said before...I don't think it's our job to figure that out...God should do it for us. Wish there was a way.:angel::angel:))

I do think MJ's "type" looks wise would have been the "beautiful, skinny model type". Who was smart. And had a heart of gold. And was classy. Oh, and famous and/or rich.  I think that's why he liked Brooke so much, because she has the brains, the body, the money and the heart too, I guess. There were a lot of pretty girls around him, but for some reason I can't really see him being with some pretty model who had no interest in arts or any kind of "culture" or who was only interested in partying, etc. Doesn't really seem like a match. Just like I can't really see him with some beautiful, but dead serious lawyer or a business woman with no sense of humor or lacking the "kid at heart" part either. Can't see how it would really "work" if she'd think all the waterfight and amusement park stuff is "childish" and would keep telling him to "grow up"...when that was what was fun for him. I mean, if the other one wants to go have a drink while the other one wants to have a water fight to "have fun"...how's that gonna work? That's like two worlds colliding into each other. Like two people from different "planets" trying to be together. I mean, anything's possible, I guess and if you really work at it and if both are really tolerant and good at compromising, maybe it can work...not sure if it could be "ultimately satisfying" if you felt your significant other doesn't "completely understand you"....but I guess it could work? I mean, I guess sometimes opposites attract? But when I think about myself, for example...I LOVE to laugh...and if the guy had no sense of humor (or it didn't match mine), and if he'd think joking around is stupid and "childish", it would NEVER work because I'd be bored to death and I just love it too much. I mean, I can't say what MJ wanted or what he would have been willing to compromise...but being a person who loves to laugh and act silly myself, I think it would be difficult to "quiet" that side of you, or to be happy if you could not have that side of you show. But that's just me. Like I said, maybe for MJ other things mattered and he would have compromised the playful side if he felt she had everything else? It's possible.

Anyways, what comes to the song TII though...like I've said...I don't think it's a song he was working on recently or planning to release during the tour. All signs point to that. But that's just my opinion. -_-

I, on the other hand cannot say the same since most days I don't feel particularly beautiful either on the inside or the outside, but you do what you can and move on I guess, trying to make up for mistakes and doing better next time.

michael_jackson%20%288%29.jpg

I agree with the "beauty" part....I mean...of course everyone is different...but I do think that most people do consider and take a look at the "looks" as well, in the opposite sex. Or maybe it's more the "attraction factor" rather than "beauty" per se...You know, there has to be that "something"...there has to be "chemistry". But what that is to each person, I'm not sure if anyone can really say? Or maybe it's a combination of things? Because you could have two absolutely beautiful men/women standing next to each other and still to different people one of them could come across as "ugly" or "not that attractive" while the other one had the "wow factor" for them...or it could be that someone didn't find them attractive at all. Or found them both extremely attractive. I think it depends what one is looking for? I mean, could be that someone is beautiful...but then the way they look at life, or how they act or treat other people is a complete turn off? Or what is a turn off for one person, could be a turn on for someone else? One may think someone super confident is arrogant, while someone else would think it's a great quality to be so self-confident because they don't like people who are shy or insecure.

There's this really cute doctor at work that I've kind of had a crush on for like probably almost two years by now. He's really goodlooking...like the male model type...even though when I first saw him, I didn't really think he was THAT hot. But then I took a "second look" and I was like "Actually he is REALLY hot..." :wild:  But then I thought he must be really arrogant since he's so goodlooking (I know...I was totally prejudice...but I guess everyone does it...you know you go through a "checklist"...). So anyways, I got to work with him daily and turns out he is reeeeeeally sweet, and hard-working and really polite and reeeally sweet to the kids (which always makes my heart melt when a guy is good with kids. Always makes me go ":wub::wub::wub::wub:"!!). So it was already like "click...click...click...". You know "Smart...check....sweet personality and polite...check....great with kids...check...hot...check" And he is FUNNY...he has a great sense of humor and laughs a lot, so that was awesome. AND....then one day I was in one kid's room doing something and he came in to examine that kid, and the kid was watching this one cartoon on TV...and he took a look at the TV and was like "OMG, I LOVE THAT CARTOON!!!" and I just had to laugh because I thought that was SO CUTE!!!   I mean, you have a thirty something doctor...who then goes crazy over a particular cartoon!! LOVED that! It just made me smile. And at first I thought he's probably kidding...but the way he knew EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER in it and talked to the kid like a true fan I was like "Hmmm...maybe he really does watch it." And it was like THE THING that made me sigh and go "Aaaaw man!" Like what was TOTALLY endearing to me!  Like, if I wasn't interested before (even though I was)..I DEFINATELY was now! Then I saw how he was posting pics of that cartoon in the internet and again, it made me smile....and then his girlfriend (yeah...that's the "UNCHECK ALL" part in the whole thing...:boohoo: ) posted "Oh gosh, honey, grow up...!" and I was like "Why does she think that's childish? It's CUTE!". You know, if one were acting like a child all the time, it would be a bit "too much"...but when the guy is a mature adult other wise, but is a kid at heart...to me that's cute. I love that! My dad was like that! I'll never forget how he always told me how he has to hurry to his hotel in time to see Darkwing Duck on TV when he was on a business trip.  I thought he's kidding, but then he was like "No, I mean it...I love it!!!!" and he'd tell me all this stuff from the episodes and I just had to laugh! I thought it was too funny, but in a good way! I mean, he was a business man, going from meeting to meeting and travelling and all that...and then he was watching Darkwing Duck in the hotel.  That was so funny to me, in a good way. My dad was a big kid at heart anyways, so I guess that's why I love that quality in guys, because I am the same. I think I got that from my dad. He was ALWAYS joking around and laughing and I could never be mad at him for a long time (and I DID TRY...) because he'd start acting silly if I was pouting or cracked jokes or something and I couldn't help but to start laughing.  And then I was angry at myself for not having been able to "be angry and pout" for much longer than five minutes. Or I'd try to leave the room quick because I was about to start laughing so that he won't see and so that I can pretend I'm angry at him...and he'd be like "OOOOOH I SAW YOU LAUGHING!!! BUSTED!!" Or I'd pretend I'm angry...but then I'd just start grinning and laughing even when I just saw him because I knew that he knew that I was about to crack up even thought I didn't want to. So he'd be like "Oh we are SO ANGRY aren't we...:tease::tease::tease:".  You just COULDN'T be angry at him for a long time because he just CRACKED ME UP every single time.  So anyways...I guess that's why I love guys who are a kid at heart and can act silly and have a great sense of humor because I'm the same and I just love to laugh more than anything, so if we'd argue, all he'd have to do is do something funny and I'd probably already be laughing. ANYWAYS....the point is...I think looks matter to some extend (but then again, like I said, what is attractive to one person, may not be attractive to someone else)...but I think a big part is the personality. Because a great personality goes a long way....good looks don't. At least in my opinion. Because if a guy is really hot...but then I see him being really arrogant or inconsiderate or rude, etc, to others...it's a HUGE turn off. And I don't think I'd be interested much after that. No matter how nice he was to me. Because it's not how they treat ME...but how they treat OTHERS as well that counts...at least to me. So no matter how hot he was...if the personality sucked...I couldn't be less interested. Or if he was a total sweetheart...but then there just wasn't "that something"...(and it can be anything...a cute smile...or the sparkle in their eyes...sometimes you just can't say what it is), it just won't work, no matter how great the personality is. At least in my opinion. And then there is the "someone else" factor too. No matter how perfect you think someone is for you....if they are already with someone else...not much you can do? So it was most likely the same for MJ too...There were probably loads of beautiful women around him...who didn't have what he was looking for personality wise. Or they were sweet, but they just didn't have that "something" looks wise. Or...they had the looks and the personality and everything else....but were already with someone else. :( And then there is the "how do YOU feel" factor too...like you guys mentioned. What if you feel the other one would be PERFECT for you....but you think you're not "in their league" because of whatever? I mean, like that cute doctor at work...I mean, apart from the fact that he has a girlfriend...I also don't think I'd be his type. We were once in the staff room having lunch and one other doctor was reading a magazine and then was like "Wow...look at her...isn't she hot!" and showed him a picture of this beautiful dark haired model and he was like "Oh yeah!! She's definately my type!" and I kind of instinctively took a glance at myself and was like "So if that's his type then I definately am not his type...because a)I'm blonde and b) I'm not skinny and c) I don't look like a model." I mean, he did sort of ask me out once...but I said no because I had absolutely no idea how he meant it. Because he has a girlfriend (hello?! Then again...he IS very friendly and has lots of female friends too, so I think he just meant he wanted to hang out as friends...because he doesn't come across as the "playboy type" really). And since I do sort of have a crush on him...I just didn't think it was a good idea to spend too much time with him because I'd only get my heart broken since I like him and he's already taken...and I don't think I'd be "his type" anyways...or even anywhere "in his league". So why do that to myself? So you know, what if MJ thought like that too or he felt no one could ever understand him and that alone was such a huge fear of his that he was afraid to even approach someone because he thought she might think he's "weird" or won't like his looks or whatever? (Even though most females were crazy about his looks and I can't see how he could ever think he'd look like "a lizard"!!  But I guess it doesn't matter how many people tell a person how gorgeous they are...if they themselves don't think that way.)

Oh! I am very aware of it. Soul is much more important than body. Just in physical world material things look stronger sometimes. It is nice to have both balanced while you are alive, but it is very rare. When body dies, everything changes, I believe.

Actually I just read on CNN or somewhere where they were talking about body and consciousness and "near death experiences" and all that...and they were saying that scientists are trying to find out if consciousness does indeed live without the body. Because the near death experiences would point to that. It said they are now putting some things on the floor or in places where you would not see them if you were laying there as a patient....to try to see if the "out of body experiences" during "near death experiences" are in fact happening. I thought that was FASCINATING. And imagine what a revolution that would be if we indeed discovered that the body really just IS a "vessel"...but our mind/consciousness does exist without it as well. Just one question...where does it go after the "vessel" dies?

Anyways....I think I babbled on endlessly again and it's time to stop now. (SOS...I LOVE your long posts! Don't apologize! I actually love conversations and LONG conversations...I could often keep talking about all kinds of things and I love it if other people do as well. I'm not a huge fan of "chit chat"...you know, the "club talk" and the "gossiping behind people's back" (even though I guess we do "gossip" in this thread since we talk about MJ and his "love interests"...but it's all with nice intentions and not the "back stabbing" kind...not the hateful "making fun of kind"). That's why I'd much rather hang out at someone's place and just TAAAALK about anything and everything for hours...than go to a club where you have to scream to hear the other person and you can't have any real conversation with anyone. And I mean, I don't drink alcohol...so the only thing left for me is to have conversations...but when you have to SCREAM...it's not that great...besides people rarely wanna have a real conversation anyways. That's why this thread is so great.)

Oh and one last thing. MISS MONKEY!!!! (=Ape...:p  ) Congratulations on the film!! And I like the "Leave a little room for hope" motto...sounds great.

(And WOW...I was almost SURE this post is WAY TOO LONG and I'll have to post it in two parts...but nope...it fits! :wild: Cool! )

Well, I think it doesn’t matter when this lyrics was written imo. I guess, he had a good reason not to release this song before. Michael was a very sensitive and mysterious figure as we all know. I believe, he was a psychic himself. Some great artists and writers are psychics and they can predict things and see the future.. Very often it appears in their works. Michael definitely was one of them. But it is just my opinion once again.

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't matter when the lyrics were written either, if it was a song he had been working on recently and planned to release during the tour. It's just that, to me, it doesn't look like it was his idea to release the song...but rather it was just a song John Branca found in the vaults after MJ died and then planned to release it. That's why I have a hard time finding any "relevancy" (is that a word?) in that song because I don't think MJ had anything to do with it recently. But I never was good with the theories anyways...so don't mind me. I'm just saying.

OMGoodness! I love Olivia Newton-John!:wild: As a matter of fact, the quote in my siggy is from her song, "Twist of Fate." That song isn't from the movie Xanadu, but it could probably fit somehow.

And, I've been listening to the song "Xanadu" a lot lately, in fact I just listened to it again today!:wild: (I know, I'm weird, but I'm very proud of my weirdness.) That's all gotta mean somethin'! After all, as ashtanga says, "It's not a coincidence! There are no coincidences!":wild::lol:

I haven't seen the movie Xanadu yet, but I've been meaning to for a while now. I just read up on it and, yes, it does seem eerily similar to the story of MJ and his LITD!:wild: I also found out that there is a song from the movie that could probably fit in this thread. It's called "Suspended in Time." Here are the lyrics:

Suspended in Time

OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN:

A child and a fool in one
So sure I could need no one
My heart always on the run to nowhere
Now as you're holding me
My heart is reminding me
That now I could never be without you

But how can our love succeed
A miracle is what we need
And so I appeal to you
To keep me suspended in time with you
Don't let this moment die
I get a feeling when I'm with you
None of the rules apply
But I know for certain
Goodbye is a crime
So love if you need me
Suspend me in time

Wasted the time away
Holding our love at bay
Now I can't last a day without you
Your smile is a thrill to see
Eyes hold me tenderly
They'll shine in my memory forever

But how can our love succeed
A miracle is what we need
And so I appeal to you
To keep me suspended in time with you
Don't let this moment die
I get a feeling when I'm with you
None of the rules apply
But I know for certain
Goodbye is a crime
So love if you need me
Suspend me in time
In time

"People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within."

Yeah, maybe you are right:)

But, according to wiki....,

Paul Anka, who co-wrote the song, stated that it was recorded in 1983 for a duet intended between him and Jackson on his album Walk a Fine Line under the original title of "I Never Heard"
Jackson's copy of the original recording of "This Is It" was apparently found in a box of tapes with only Jackson's voice and a piano accompaniment

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Is_It_(Michael_Jackson_song)

So, it had to be a duet on tape but it appeared with only Jackson's voice? Strange.... Another Mystery? God knows when he recorded it.... .

PS.Also, Lyrics is different as far as I know? Sa-Fire recorded it with different lyrics.

EDIT:This Is It” was based on a tape that Mr. Jackson left behind, containing only his piano and vocal.
Mr. McClain built a full arrangement around it, including backup vocals by Mr. Jackson’s brothers. Aside from a few major differences in the lyrics, the song is almost identical to “I Never Heard.”http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/13/arts/music/13anka.html?_r=1&hp

So, the original tape which had been found contained just Michael's piano and vocal
Beautiful.....:)

Because "This Is It" was released on the 12th day of October and at 12:00 midnight, and because 12 is the number that describes measurements, etc. of Heaven, and because this song fell perfectly in place with this thread about MJ being in love, I'm going to say that God had His hand in the release of this song.

So the love story continues, as the mystery unfolds....
