I can only join those who have already gave the wb to AllForMJ, this is after all, her thread. Lovely to see ya back
Great quote there, Lily. Just beautiful, beautiful words.
Oh, you mustn't think that. Michael will NEVER be forgotten. There is so much love for him out there in the world, every day, what am I sayin', every hour there are new people discovering him. Someone wise said "as long as there are babies born, God has not lost hope in mankind", I go and dare rephrase that 'as long as there are babies born, MJ will fans will be around as well'.
His message is too pure, his talent too great to ever be forgotten, you have to trust that. All of us will be long gone and centuries from now people won't remember politicians from countries great and small, but they will remember Michael. His was a face destined for HIStory, he knew it and he kept himself humble whilst knowing that, another of the many reasons which made him so amazing. In any case, I don't think you should worry yourself with such things. Michael's place is history is secure. I know it's a cliche, but the past is gone and tomorrow is but a vision, all we have is here and now. Try and make the best out of it.
And to prove that here are two links to two of my favorite songs ever http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5IIXeR5OUI and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9Wvwl9NQ5g&feature=related. The first is none other than the great Satchmo with What a wonderful world. I remember the unfair criticism levelled at him and the other great voices of Black America for playin' only 'safe' music. James Brown came around and changed all that, but I think the works of greats such as NatKing Cole and Armstrong cannot be overlooked. They dealt with their circumstances the best way they could, whilst leaving the world an inmense cultural herritage.
The second is Beautiful that way, from the soundtrack of “Life is beautiful”. It is sung by Noa, an Israeli singer and activist for peace. She has sang all over the world together with Palestinian artists, at the Vatican, everywhere. Roberto Begnini's movie is one of my favorites ever. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I believe it won the Oscar for best foreign movie in the late 90s. It is a heartbreaking story, with touching moments of humor all in the setting of the Holocaust, true genius work. I love the guy, he goes around Italy and France and recites Dante's 'La divina comedia' in the most spectacular of fashions, simply brilliant.
Since some may not be familiar with the song, here go the lyrics
Smile, without a reason why
Love, as if you were a child,
Smile, no matter what they tell you
Don't listen to a word they say
Cause life is beautiful that way.
Tears, a tidal wave of tears
Light, that slowly disappears
Wait, before you close the curtain
There is still another game to play
And life is beautiful that way
Here with his eyes forevermore
I will always be as close as you
remember from before
Now that you're out there on your own
Remember what is real and
what we dream is love alone
Keep the laughter in you eyes
Soon your long awaited prize
We'll forget about our sorrows
And think about a brighter day
Cause life is beautiful that way.
We'll forget about our sorrows
And think about a brighter day,
Cause life is beautiful that way
There's still another game to play
And life is beautiful that way.
And since I mentioned God, here is a great quote from another day brightener of mine with quotes from The prayer that changes everything by Stormie O'Martian. It was for June 4th, seems ages ago, I know. It was so beautiful I wrote it down on the inside cover of my agenda.
Why does God want our love anyway? Why does He care about us so much? I have no idea. But if there is a Q&A session in heaven and I still care about the answer to those questions, I will ask Him and try to send word back. But for now, I believe it is because love is best when it is returned.
Because of free will, God gave us the 'greatest' freedom of all - to deny His existence. He didn't want robots. He loved us first and expects and longs for our love in return. Because He made us in His image, we can only long for the same - to love and to be loved.
Earlier this evening I was watching a music video - David Guetta and Kelly Rowland, and although I ain't a great fan of the Euro dance scene (I believe most of that music is made up of tiresome, mindnumbin' sounds without meaning and real passion), I liked this particular song - When love takes over. It dawned on me - yeah, it sure is so, when love takes over, the only thing you can do is obey because the real thing is so rare nowadays and so very precious that is it worth every sacrifice and any amount of time -for some it can be decades in the making and years into the future, but it is always worthwhile. Remember the old lady from the Besherit documentary I told you about?
I promised myself I wouldn't write sucha long thing. I was actually exhausted when I began writing this, but by miracle, I managed to somehow get it together, but then again maybe not. In any case I'm startin' to see a pattern here about the late hours and it ain't good. Anyways, thx for bearing with me and good night. Hugs and kisses.
P.S. and  again @ 'like Jose'.
I was alone in the middle of the desert, perceiving so much beauty. I saw eternity, the endless, the infinite in those stars, and I knew without a doubt that the stars are alive. The infinite, our Mother Earth, all of creation, is alive. It is one living being……
..Light is a living being that contains all of the wisdom of the universe and occupies every space. Light, the supreme messenger of God, constantly sends information to everything in existence, and expresses itself in billions of different forms…..
..Life creates what is real, and humans create a virtual reality – story about what is real. We perceive images of light, and we interpret, qualify, and judge what we perceive. This ongoing reflection in the mirror of our mind is what the Toltec call dreaming…..
..God, the supreme artist, uses our life for the creation of art. We are the instruments through which the force of life expresses itself…..
..The art of dreaming is the art of living. Everything we say and do is an expression of the force of life. The creation is ongoing. It is endless. It is happening in every moment…..

"I wonder what it will be like this time next year? Michael has been gone over a year by then...Will people still think about him?". And I just don't ever want to forget him. Never ever. And I don't want others to forget him either! And what about 40-50 years from now? What if I can just barely remember him? What if he's just some "blurry memory" by then? I don't want that to happen.
