It just shows the level of madness when it comes to MJ that in a country where hunting is considered the great American manly thing to do the public is outraged about a few pictures of dead animals in an art book. A dead sheep or goose and America wants to convict

It's more than that. The media spent decades tearing MJ down. Now that he is not here to defend himself
and no chance for a defamation lawsuit they use the opportunity to prove to the public that their reporting was
accurate all along.

Imagine if they admitted that they were lying about MJ or at least were totally wrong?
How that would undermine their business.
Next time they reported about an accused person everyone would say yeah like Michael Jackson, right?

Huffington post, Jezebel will never admit that the Radar article was bogus that there was no gruesome porn
that MJ didn't stockpile nude pictures of children and animal torture.

I just thought that Michael somehow was hunted and killed by the media / greedy people. And instead of being shocked, they seem proud of their doings. Why else would they continue to dehumanize him and try to trash all of Michael´s achievements as an artist and a human being?

Keep in mind that MJ is the only black person in history who inspired mass hysteria all over the world across racial and cultural lines.

We humans can fly to the moon and do open heart surgery. But when it comes to differencies among ourselves (race, disabilities / handicaps, money, etc.) we often can not handle it. THAT`S weird.

So that is what the name origin of *****. That make me more angry. There has always been slick ways to dergrade blacks even now. instead of using the N word, they use the word "thug'. Many in the black community have been saying this (that why the skin issue was so personal to blacks until they learn it was a disorder). I have heard the excuses for calling Michael that name YET if we were to go by that excuse, then why don't people who are viewed "ecentri" not called out o their name.

Now, if I were take what he is saying serious (which I don't), that make Conrad look even a dangerous doctor. if MJ looked like that when he first met MJ, why would Murray as the so called doctor treat MJ in the manner in which he did? this man make himself look more stupid by the minute.

I have had arguments here before where people swear it's an affectionate nickname and don't know the origin.
There were books written in the US based on that UK monkey and a cartoon series in the 60s. You could buy him as a stuffed doll. It was hugely popular and if I watched it as a kid, I know Michael did.
It was racist from the get go.

And yes, thug has somehow permeated our vernacular as a polite way of using the N word. I have yet to hear a white guy be called a thug.

In the minds of some people a BLACK man was NEVER supposed to reach the heights and have the amount of power that Michael did/does.
To this day people are scared of Michael because of his power and influence to the point of not letting TDCAU be played at a sporting event.

I do believe that a lot of people wanted/want to destroy Michael and now that he's gone they want to destroy Michael's legacy because he was/is black.
This is especially easy to see when you take into account that celebs of other races that have ACTUALLY DONE some messed up nasty stuff, but that gets swept under the rug.

SMH, there really is NO arguing with some people.
Some people just WILL NOT accept the fact that race played/plays a part in the way Michael got/gets treated, but it's pretty obvious that it does when no celeb of any other race been treated like Michael.
Race plays a huge part in the whole music industry TBH, so when a BLACK entertainer as big as MJ came along I KNOW a lot of people were NOT and STILL AREN'T happy.

I would think most people in the uk are unaware of the j****monkey toy. I certainly wasnt before it got mentioned on here years ago. Its a very old toy .But the nickname j**** is used in the uk and countries like Australia for any male with the surname Jackson the same as macca is used for men whos name begin with Mc or someone called Gibson would be called Gibbo .now its upto you whether you think the name was used against mj in a derogatory fashion when you look at the context of how the name is used in the U.K. Frankly i dont give the media the inteligence to put two and two two together interms of researching that toy. and then using it as a slur against mj mainly because of what i said above about how that nickname is used in the U.K its important to know how the name is used interms of the U.K before passing judgment. No other artist has been given a derogatory nickname and systematically called that name in thousands of headlines, articles, magazine covers, documentaries, TV reports etc. They call Saddam Hussein and bin Laden by their name but they cannot use MJ's real name.
They have to reduce him to a ***** because giving him respect would violate the order of things.
He may become too beloved, too influential too powerful and a black man cannot be any of those.
They have to know their place like Mohammed Ali, James Brown, Michael Jordan. You can be famous, you can have fans

Compare that to all the crazy wacky things other rock and pop stars were doing! The Rolling Stones, JOhn Lennon, Elton John, Madonna even Prince. Can you imagine if MJ had performed in a bikini and high heels?

None of them got a derogatory nickname. Lady Gaga can wear a meat dress and vomit on stage and she does not get a "nickname"
from the press.

But if MJ has a chimp (which Elvis had too and several other people in the world has had), has two nosejobs he is *****.

Maybe if you call someone ***** for two decades all over the world he will indeed lose his mind. I wouldn't blame MJ if he had had mental issues after decades of bullying.

Anyways, both Radar staff and Stacy B are deranged who doesn't realise that train left the station years ago.

yes. Back in the day (86-88) the US picked it up but it's gone now save for Radar and NYP and I think they're foreign owned.
I've heard only in the last few years it's a nickname like Macca, but I never heard any other Jacksons called that. That's said by people who were probably little kids in the 80s and 90s and definitely younger.
I think the tabloid press was just very very clever with the double meaning. They're not stupid.

Basically. I think some of the media peeps who FIRST used the term were aware of it, but I'd say 99% of people who have called MJ "J.acko" since are not aware of the racial connotations that term had a few hundred years back (I believe it was a racial term in the 1800s or something). I've seen black people call Michael (and other people with the name Jackson) by that term before.

I think if it was widely known to be a racial term then it's use as a nickname for Michael would not be so high. But it's not. In-fact you can't even classify it as a racial term nowadays because it's barely used as one (similar to how "gay' hardly means happy anymore. It used to half a century ago but nowadays it's never used to describe "happy"). You have to really go out of your way to find out the more-racial meanings behind it that existed decades, if not centuries ago.

Knowing how he felt about it, it saddens me to see it used when discussing Michael, it makes me uncomfortable and if I ever hear someone call him that I correct them. However from their perspective, I don't think many people see calling him "J.acko" (on it's own) as wrong, and it's not hard to see why. Same reason why the same people don't see anything wrong with calling Paul McCartney "Macca", or a girl by the name of Madison "Madi" etc etc.

My two cents.
 
Totally agree historic.i certainly never knew of the connitations to it and even more so when the nickname j**** and other nicknames such as gibbo macca etc are so widely used in the U.K its very much the norm for ppl to be called such names. Theres a book written by the wife of english football manager.his surname is jackson and the title of the book is "my life with j****" no one blinks an eye at that because of how the name is used in the uk. theres no racial conitations about it at all .Its obviously very different in the U.S

Im not sure if i can give the media enough credit in having the brains to research the name and racial conitations from centuries ago as the uk tabs are known or i guess you could say have competitions to make the catchiest and funniest headlines. Shortened nicknames are all apart of that also obviously shortening names to fit on headlines.and the fact as mentioned above interms of how the nickname is used in the uk.its a coincedence more than anything to me.an unpleasent one at that.

I agree i dont like ppl using the term, as a fan it does make me cringe as i know mj didnt like it. But personally i have no issue with joe blogs using it because in the uk its just what people call ppl with such a surname its not ment as an insult in the general term. Now in america i guess its viewed differently because its not used as above.

The other jacksons arent famous in the uk bar janet but females dont get given such names (its a man thing!) But if they lived in the uk as joe blogs/john doe they would prob by 90% be called j**** at some point.

Not starting rumors but has anyone thought after this book news that Murray maybe intentionally killed Michael because he figured if he was not blamed for his death that the stories would sell more than he would have been paid being his DR? The invasive rec. he made when he was drugged. Who knows what else he recorded, filmed.. He probably has enough to make millions on IF he was not convicted..

With Mike not here he can claim anything, and if he had pics, audio, video of MJ at home/weekend state/saying private things to him.... That is a snakes best chance to make millions.

TBH, if a solo white artist/entertainer had ever reached the same height of fame that Michael did ALONG with being as talented as Michael (being amazing at dancing, writing music, and singing, while at the same time being loved by the entire world) and being smart enough to buy the rights to the profitable music of other artist then he or she wouldn't have been called anything but the best to ever do it, and the media would've exalted him/her instead of spreading disgusting lies about him/her on a constant and giving him/her hateful "nicknames."

Sadly that's the state of the music industry and it has been for a very long time.
I hope that things become more equal soon.

I think certain tabloids use is on purposely to degrade Michael (Radar, Mirror, Sun).
Since Jen Heger left Radar and that fool (Dylan something)was left there with free reigns, its gone from bad to dumpster.

Radar is owned by American media, so the blame is all in America:cheeky:

Radar is in the US so yes the recent stories stem from here.. The term J@(k0 comes from UK tabloids...

A love for ladies

Shortly before noon, on June 25, 2009, Conrad Murray felt the urge to sweettalk the latest mistress to join his burgeoning harem—an alluring young waitress who had caught his eye whilst serving him in a steakhouse.

When 24-year-old Sade Anding answered the phone, however, the doctor seemed strangely distracted and soon fell silent. All she could hear was muffled coughing and what sounded like someone mumbling in the background.

Then the line went dead, and when she tried to call her lover back and sent text messages there was no response.

Switching on the TV news two hours later, Anding realised to her horror why their conversation had ended so mysteriously.

Michael Jackson had died, and Murray—his personal physician—must have been speaking to her from the singer's bedside at the very moment that he entered his death throes.

Anding has since said she regrets her fling with the 58-year-old doctor (though she was more than happy to accept the gifts he had lavished on her when Jackson was paying him £94,000 a month) and claims Jackson might have lived, but for their dalliance on the phone.

Murray also called his live-in girlfriend, Nicole Alvarez, 29, from the ambulance as he accompanied Jackson to hospital.

Murray was born on Grenada, in February, 1953, where his parents met, but his story really begins in a shanty town in Port of Spain, capital of neighbouring Trinidad.

That was his mother, Milta's (Milta Rush) home, and after she and his father, Rawle Murray, split up, she returned there to raise her son in a pot-holed street where water was pumped from a standpipe.

Tall, academically gifted and talented at sports Murray stood apart from the other children. They played bare-footed, but as his father was a doctor—he emigrated from Grenada to Texas where he ran a general practice.

And though most children left school at 12, he won a scholarship to high school, and by his late teens his horizons lay far beyond the backstreets of Port of Spain.

Intending to pay his way through medical school, then return and help sick people in Trinidad, he found work as a customs broker and later in an insurance firm. But he always had an eye for the prettiest local girls and, aligned with his good looks and hulking 6ft 4in physique, his pay packet made him quite a catch.

None of his friends could afford a car, but he bought a brown Dodge Avenger and would cruise around picking them up.

"He called it his passion wagon,' one former friend said.

His oldest friend, Wallace Leslie, also recalls how he scoured marriage notices, picked out the most affluent couples and gate-crashed their parties to target female guests.

Before leaving for medical school in Tennessee, he is known to have fathered one Trinidadian child, and he has since sired a further six, at least, by four women.

Murray married first soon after arriving in America, in October, 1984, to pharmacist Zufan Tesfai, but less than four years later they were divorced. He was having an affair with Patricia Mitchell, who bore the first of his American-born children before suing him for "fraudulent breach of trust" for misappropriating her money or property.

At the time Michael Jackson died he was still having trysts with at least three women: Bridgette Morgan, an exotic dancer he met in a topless bar in Las Vegas; Sade Anding, and Nancy Alvarez, with whom he has a two-year-old son and shares an apartment in Santa Monica.

But of course, running such an extensive harem was hideously expensive. And by 2006—when Jackson was staying in Las Vegas, and he happened to be called out to treat one of the singer's children for the flu—Murray was in debt to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Remember MJ was known in the UK before 1985. They did not call him *****. Neither did they call any of his brothers or his father *****. They don't call Jesse Jackson ***** or Peter Jackson *****.

Not starting rumors but has anyone thought after this book news that Murray maybe intentionally killed Michael because he figured if he was not blamed for his death that the stories would sell more than he would have been paid being his DR? The invasive rec. he made when he was drugged. Who knows what else he recorded, filmed.. He probably has enough to make millions on IF he was not convicted..

With Mike not here he can claim anything, and if he had pics, audio, video of MJ at home/weekend state/saying private things to him.... That is a snakes best chance to make millions.

I disagree. when Mj was alive he was called this name in the press from Foxnews o CNN, etc. In the United States, this word is a racist word. It does not matter what it means somewhere else. the bottom line, to know the orgin of this word would make blacks angry. Sorry but it will be looked as another way to insult someone who I black. This is why people just need to call people by the name they want or the name they were born with; by doing so, there wont be anger over these kind of words.

yes he does by some press especially Foxnews And lets be real, when the UK and others use that name, it is NOT to praise Jackson. I never seen the UK call any other celeb from the United States whose last name is Jackson this name. No excuse.
