Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Hi Earth Song :) Hows your day going?

Okay, thanks for asking. Just getting ready to move, so I have a real mess here. LOL! If you all do not see me online this weekend, it's because I won't have internet after Friday until Monday. Keep things going without me.

Hugs!!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Michelle, I loved your post to Rockin!! AWESOME!!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

I'm Mormon:D and you better believe I believe in Jesus Christ:p
He's my rock. Whenever I feel I'm not loved I can always remember he loves me:)

Welcome to the thread!!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I don't feel at all comfortable in this thread any more. It's clear to me that some of you will not be sorry if I do not contribute further but I cannot and will not be made to feel bad about speaking the truth. God demands it of us and the bible has all the answers, if you choose to ignore that and twist it and add things to it to suit you then you are on dangerous ground.
Of course we should love everyone with God's love, that does not mean we should sit back and not challenge people when they clearly are under false teaching.
Perhaps if we had a thread that was called 'Any born again Christians here?' this situation would be resolved.
Blessings to you all, no offence to any of you personally but there is acceptance of cults here that is not right in my book.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Hi Rockin,
I wanted a few days break from posting here, and I got it, although I still read this thread and saw your post to me. I felt like we were looked down upon too a few days ago, but you know what. All that matters is what God sees in our hearts. He will be the only One judging us. We know as Catholics that we believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior, therefore we are saved. So unless anything starts up again, which it seems everyone wants to start over, then I wouldn't worry about how others feel. If you want to explain our faith and correct people, that's a good thing to do, but as long as others don't say anything more about our Faith, then I think we can all start over. I've thought of starting a Catholic thread, but that would be stupid, because there is this thread and we believe in Jesus as the rest of them who post here. There are just different ways of these denomination, but the uniting factor is Jesus is Lord and Savior and most of us who post here(except the athiests here) have accepted Christ as such.
So I'm not going to let what happened the other day get me down. I have other problems to deal with. Please pray Rockin, and all for a very special intention that needs to be solved quick. Thank you for your prayers.
The only reason I answered Rockin's post is not to bring everything back up again, but so she wouldn't think I ignored her.

that was well said.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

I have to say, I can understand Red's post.

I have a problem with some "Christian" religions because the bible says do not add or subtract from God's word (the bible) yet there are certain types of "Christian" religions that do add to or subtract from the Word of God.

Here are the scriptures to back up what I am saying.

Do not alter (delete or add to) God's Word
"You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." Deuteronomy 4:2
"...if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ." Galatians 1:9-10
"For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it!" 2 Corinthians 11:4 [I.e. don't tolerate heresy]
"Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it." Deuteronomy 12:32
"Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5-6
"If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18-19

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

How is everyone???

Hope you're doing well earthy. Because of the technical issue last night, I think some of the posts from here were deleted. I remember I posted on the weekend, but if I understand correctly all posts made after October 2 are deleted everywhere. So some of us were posting here, just to let you know.
:)

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Thanks, Michelle! I appreciate that.

I did get your email. I will be praying!!

That's why I only read from the KJV. It's the only accurate bible. All other bibles have added or subtracted. So if your on the market for a bible get a KJV it may have the thee & thou & kinda like reading Shakespeare but its the only bible that hasn't been subtracted from, not added to & its not copyright :)

Psalm 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Isaiah 26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.

When I got saved in the Baptist church, someone gave me a New Living Translation, as it's for NEW Christians, so they can understand the scripture better. I do have a KJV too. My parents gave me one of those.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Personally i dont believe in religion, im open to the possibility that theres a higher force but religion is man made control, all religions believe in a higher force that basically shares the same principle of "do no harm" love thy neighbour etc - yet these different 'religious' books are translated and manipulated to control people, end result is hate unless to adhere to the "religion" attached to that country as apposed to believing in a basic higher force and judging your actions based on what you do, not what a book tells you to do.

just take a look at some of the religions - muslim religion says the women should cover up but the men don't have to, catholics are against any contraception so bad luck if a women is unluck enough to be raped and end up pregnant?, and they are against gay sex ..which considering the reputation the catholic church as gotten over the years is amusingly hyporictical.. i could go on and on but why bother when at the end there are none so blind as those who choose not to see LOL :D

On the other hand - faith by its very nature is a belief, and basically people have different views, if someone can't debate a different point of view then they shouldnt air theirs so strongly in the 1st place and instead advocate a cult !

Additional - 'canabis' is a natual plant, and god created everything so he must of done that too... hmm - well, look at the platapus - 1/2 duck (beak) and 1/2 beaver (tail) ... u know he must of been smokin the stuff when he came up with that one and decided to bang to animals into one ;) joke - b4 any extremists complain LOL :D

Thats cool! I have the KJV plus other versions lying around incase KJV doesnt make sense.
I don't like the basic eng bible because it removes a lot same with the NIV.
I attended the Uniting Church for a while & was given The Good News Bible but never looked at it.

The closest bible to the KJV is the Jehovah's Witness bible. It is directly taken from the KJV just changed into our English.

I have a 1813 Browns bible its a lil different to KJV but not by much.
