hahahahaahaahah im actually laughing man, this has to be a pr stunt, its just a shame if so the real fans feel a bit pissed the now, but hey this could be a stroke off genuis, they could have easily pick loads of songs tht sounded classic michael.

think about it, everybody whats a peice of michael jackson, i really hope this is a fake and we hear the real version

I simply LOVE it !!!

And yes it is Michael ... but obvioulsy finished off by a production team after his passing.

The track is so catchy .... LOVE IT !!!

Seriously, this is so offensive to us and to Michael. Some BACKGROUNDS are Michael. WTF? If you really struggled that much you could have put an impersonator on some BACKGROUNDS but not an impersonator as a LEAD and Michael in SOME backing.

I don't know wtf is going on. Why would they release a song like this when they clearly have FOUR other "recent" 100% real songs that we know of? Escape, Hold My Hand, A Place With No Name and Another Day?

Some of it is NO DOUBT MJ !

I simply love the song. It's MJ all over the song.

But I think the song has been so undone SONY had Jason Malachi to finish or remake parts of it.

Even though it's not 100 % MJ singing the song is still very much MJ-ish and I love it.

Wow...I'm feeling very confused here. When the vocals first started I thought 'This doesn't sound like him.' I contributed that possibly being the production work, etc. But towards the end it "seems" to sound more like him. Then I listen to the Malachi guy and now I'm nothing but confused! I have a VERY good ear, and a part of me doesn't want to believe this is not Michael but then the other half is having difficulty thinking that it's Michael because a some points the timbre in the main vocals seems a bit "off"... so...yeah...I just...I'm at a loss. I believe there are bits of Michael in it, BUT I am having difficulty hearing it as being 100% Michael.

IT IS MJ...but a raw MJ.

It lacks the tedious layering work and other things MJ usually spend centuries doing to perfect his songs.

But the lead vocals are all M. Michael Joseph Jackson

I'm not gonna stress out about this... sigh... just hope the other songs on the album are freakin' real MJ awesomeness and not some confusing crap. :mello: Whether the song is some Michael or not, damn, this is quite the controversy, eh? ;)

Guys we have to remember that the song wasn't recorded in a professional studio in the first place but in a HOUSE! Michael didn't have the chance to finish it off. All we have to do is send an email to Sony as a community and clarify the situation!

I would hope something along those lines but let's think about it. Why would Sony choose a song that vaguely sounds like MJ with a cold and choose it despite the families protest as the first song for the public to hear?

Remember they had what 600 songs to choose from give or take???

Also, why are they thinking of launching Hold My Hand as the first single - putting my personal dislike of the song aside? The fans have heard it and many were not thrilled with it, so it's like doing a re release of a song with whatever changes that have been made. Why???

Is that some type of strategy to help or hinder sales?

I started a thread called somethings amiss, please take a look in there and add any ideas you may have.
